When the panel material 31 is a workable elastic material such as an acrylic plate, a pattern similar to that of the surface plate 21 can be provided, but as shown in the embodiment, the panel material 31 is a brittle material. In the case of glass, since processing cannot be performed directly on the front surface or the rear surface, a pattern is printed on the rear surface side of the glass, so that the consistency with the panel body 2 is ensured on the vertical surface. In the embodiment, of the double glazing, a straight line is printed on the back surface of the glass on the side of the surface plate 21, and the transmission of light is suppressed by sticking Japanese paper 10 on the entire back surface. Since a pattern is formed on the panel material 31 by printing, the degree of freedom is high, so that the entire pattern of the panel unit 1 can be arbitrarily applied as long as the pattern can be put on the surface plate 21.
