Conventionally, a flexible plate formed by laminating thin copper plates, or a flexible terminal formed by welding a terminal plate made of a copper plate or the like to both ends of a flexible conductor made of a flexible braided wire or the like by welding is used to oxidize the terminal plate and cause poor conduction. To prevent this, a terminal plate is welded and connected to both ends of the flexible conductor, and then the terminal plate is subjected to a surface treatment such as tin plating or silver plating.

However, in order to perform a plating process such as tin plating or silver plating on the terminal plate after welding and connecting the terminal plate to both ends of the flexible conductor, it is necessary to completely prevent a plating solution or the like from entering the flexible conductor. Since it must be performed, the work requires a great deal of attention and a long time, and there is a problem that the workability is extremely poor and expensive.

In order to solve the above problems, a method of improving the operability by welding and connecting a pre-plated terminal plate to a flexible conductor is considered, but when welding the terminal plate to the flexible conductor,
Even if the terminal plate is covered with a shielding plate having a heat sink function, there is a problem that particularly heat-sensitive tin plating or the like is eroded by welding flame or heat during welding.

A terminal plate having a welded portion and a connecting portion formed in a step shape on the plate surface and subjected to a plating process is completely covered with a shielding member, and then welded to both ends of a flexible conductor having both ends fixed. Therefore, workability is significantly improved, and there is no danger that the plating will be damaged by welding flame or heat during welding. In addition, since both ends of the flexible conductor are fixed, there is no bending or pinhole during welding. A flexible terminal having stable electrical characteristics over time does not occur.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the method of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an explanatory view showing one embodiment of the method of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a flexible terminal manufactured by the method of the present invention. In FIG. The flexible conductor 1 is made of flexible conductors and the like, and both ends of the flexible conductor 1 are fixed by a method such as welding the collars 2, 2 and the like. Reference numeral 3 denotes a terminal plate made of a copper plate or the like in which the thickness of the tip portion is increased and the welded portion 3a and the connection portion 3b are formed in a stepped shape. After the terminal plate 3 is subjected to a surface treatment such as tin plating or silver plating, The end face of the welded portion 3a of the terminal plate 3 is brought into contact with the end face of the flexible conductor 1,
As shown in the figure, the connecting portion 3b of the terminal plate 3 divided by the welded portion 3a and the step 3c, and both ends of the flexible conductor 1 excluding the fixed portion are completely covered with shields 4a, 4b, 4c. Connect by welding.

Thus, the connection portion 3b of the terminal plate 3 which has been subjected to surface treatment such as tin plating or silver plating is completely shielded by the shield 4a,
4b, so that the tin plating and the like are not attacked by the welding flame or the heat at the time of welding, and the both ends of the flexible conductor 1 are fixed by the collars 2, 2 and the like. It is possible to obtain a flexible terminal having stable electrical characteristics over the years without the risk of occurrence of bending or pinholes.

The shields 4a and 4b are tin-plated on the terminal plate 3,
It is for preventing silver plating or the like from being attacked by welding flame or heat at the time of welding, and the material and the like are not particularly limited, but a shield 4a having a heat sink function,
As shown in FIG. 3, a heat insulating plate 4d is provided at the tip of the shields 4a, 4b having a heat sink function to abut on a step 3c between the welded portion 3a and the connection portion 3b. It is even more effective to prevent the tin plating or the like applied to the terminal plate 3 from being attacked by the heat.

FIG. 5 shows that a plurality of grooves 3a 'are provided in the welded portion 3a of the terminal plate 3, and the terminal plate 3 is subjected to a surface treatment such as tin plating or silver plating. Another embodiment of the method of the present invention for manufacturing a flexible terminal by abutting the end surface of the flexible conductor 1 and completely covering the entire connection portion 3b including the step 3c with the shields 4a and 4b and connecting them by welding is shown. By providing a plurality of grooves 3a 'in the welded portion 3a of the terminal plate 3 as described above, it is possible to dissipate the conduction heat during welding extremely effectively.
