【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、炊飯運転に係わる
操作を行なうための操作部及び炊飯運転の行程を表示す
る表示部を備えた炊飯器に関する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】従来の炊飯器において
は、一般に操作パネルを本体の外周側面下部に該外周側
面に沿う様に取付け、この操作パネルに操作部を外部か
ら操作可能に設けると共に、該操作パネル内に表示用の
ランプ或いは発光ダイオード等の発光体を配設し、以て
前記操作部を操作して炊飯運転を行なわしめると共に、
その操作に基づく発光体の光を前記操作パネルに設けた
窓部を通して視認することにより炊飯運転の行程を確認
できるようにしている。
【０００３】一般に炊飯器は、炊飯後鍋内の御飯をすく
い出すことを考慮して、テーブルや流し台といった低い
部位に載置されるのが通常のこととなっており、従って
使用者の目の位置も通常では本体より高くなる。ところ
がこの場合、前述の従来のものでは操作パネルが本体の
外周側面下部に該外周側面に沿って設けられているた
め、操作パネルが低すぎて、腰を屈めないと操作パネル
が見づらいばかりか、その操作部の操作を行ないづらい
という欠点があった。
【０００４】本発明は上記事情に鑑みてなされたもので
あり、従ってその目的は、操作部及び表示部、並びにタ
イマー表示の視認性を向上させることができると共に、
操作部の操作性を向上させることができる炊飯器を提供
するにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は上記の目的を達
成するために、操作パネルの裏側に配設された基板の上
面に、炊飯運転に係わる操作を行なうための操作部を有
する操作スイッチ、炊飯運転の行程を表示する表示部、
及びデジタルタイマーを夫々配置し、この操作パネル
を、これの表側が本体の上面に連なる状態で上向きとな
るように設けたところに特徴を有する。
【０００６】上記した手段によれば、操作部及び表示
部、並びにデジタルタイマーを備えた操作パネルが本体
の上面に連なる状態で上向きに設けられているから、通
常使用時の如く本体がテーブルや流し台といった部位に
載置される場合に、それら操作部及び表示部、並びにデ
ジタルタイマーは従来よりも見易くなり、また、操作部
の操作もし易くなる。

【発明の実施の形態】以下本発明の一実施例につき図面
を参照して説明する。１は本体で、これは外ケース２，
内ケース３及び底板４等から成るもので、図示はしない
が内ケース３内底部には炊飯ヒータが配設されており、
また該内ケース３内には鍋が着脱可能に収納されるもの
である。５は環状の枠体で、外ケース２の上部と内ケー
ス３の上部との間に設けられている。６は合成樹脂製の
縦長なケースで、これは内面に突設されたＬ字状の係合
突片７を外ケース２に形成された係合孔８に係合させた
上で、下部を底板４により支持し、以て本体１の外周側
部に外ケース２の外周面に沿って底板４から枠体５にか
けて取付けられている。
【０００８】そして、このケース６は上部が下部より外
方に突出されていて、その上部に操作パネル９が本体１
の上面に連なる状態で上向きとなるように設けられてい
る。この操作パネル９は、特に本実施例では、ケース６
に一体成形により表側である上面が若干前方に下降傾斜
する傾斜状となるように形成され、この上面には略矩形
状に陥没して銘板取付凹部１０が形成されていると共
に、前端部にはこの銘板取付凹部１０より陥没した凹部
１１及び該凹部１１よりさらに陥没した指掛用凹部１２
が形成されている。
【０００９】また、銘板取付凹部１０の所定部位には操
作用の開口部１３及び表示用の複数の開口部１４（図１
に１個のみ図示）並びにデジタルタイマー表示用の開口
部１５が夫々形成されている。１６は操作パネル９の銘
板取付凹部１０に貼着された弾性シートから成る銘板
で、これには銘板取付凹部１０の各開口部１３，１４，
１５に対応して窓部１７，１８，１９が夫々形成されて
おり（図３参照）、そのうち特に窓部１８には図示はし
ないが炊飯行程を示す文字例えば「炊飯」，「保温」等
が付されている。
【００１０】２０は操作パネル９の裏側に該操作パネル
９に沿ってねじ止めにより配設された基板たるプリント
基板で、これの上面には炊飯運転に係わる操作を行なう
ための操作部２１を有する操作スイッチ２１ａ、炊飯運
転の行程を表示する表示部としての発光体２２及びデジ
タルタイマー２３が夫々操作パネル９の各開口部１３，
１４，１５に対応して配置されており、従って、銘板１
６にあって操作部２１と対向する窓部１７はその操作部
２１の一部を構成し、又、窓部１８，１９は表示部の一
部を構成している。２４はプリント基板２０から導出さ
れたリード線で、これはケース６内を外ケース２外面に
沿って、底板４から本体１内へ導かれている。
【００１１】一方、２５は透光性を有する例えば合成樹
脂製のカバーで、これは一端部を操作パネル９のうち銘
板取付凹部１０の外ケース２側の部位に回動可能に枢設
され、以てこのカバー２５により操作部２１，表示部と
しての発光体２２及びデジタルタイマー２３を銘板１６
を介して上方から開閉自在に覆っている。そして、この
カバー２５の他端先端部は該カバー２５の閉鎖時には銘
板取付凹部１０前端部より突出していて、ここに前方に
下降傾斜した傾斜状の水切部２６が形成され、この水切
部２６と操作パネル９の前記凹部１１及び指掛用凹部１
２との間に空間部２７が形成されるようになっている。
ここで、図１にはカバー２５の閉鎖状態を実線で、また
開放状態を二点鎖線で示している。
【００１２】斯かる構成とした本実施例によれば、操作
部２１及び表示部としての発光体２２、並びにデジタル
タイマー２３を備えた操作パネル９を本体１の上部に設
けているから、本体１を通常使用時の如くテーブルや流
し台といった使用者の目の高さより低い場所に設置した
場合において、操作パネル９が従来よりも高い部位にな
って見易くなり、また操作部２１の操作もし易くなる。
しかもこの場合、操作パネル９を本体１の上面に連なる
状態で上向きに設けているので、腰を屈めず立ったまま
の状態でも視線が操作パネル９に対して斜めになりすぎ
ることはなく、該操作パネル９を一層容易に見ることが
できて、操作部２１，操作パネル９に付された「保温」
等の文字及び発光体２２から発せられる光、並びにデジ
タルタイマー２３の表示の視認性を向上させることがで
きると共に、勿論操作部２１の操作性も向上させること
ができる。
【００１３】ここで、炊飯器において、タイマーを備え
たものでは、タイマーを使用しているか否かの確認、及
びタイマー使用時には設定時間の確認が必要となる。特
にタイマー設定の時間が１２時間以上といった長時間の
設定となった場合には、タイマー動作中に随時タイマー
の動作状態を確認できることが望ましく、このタイマー
の表示が容易に分かることは使用者の使い勝手をきわめ
て良好に改善できるものである。
【００１４】この点、本実施例においては、デジタルタ
イマー２３を、本体１の上面に連なる状態で上向きとな
るように設けられた操作パネル９に配置しているので、
タイマーを使用しているか否かの確認、及びタイマー動
作中の動作状態の確認が容易にでき、使い勝手を良好に
できる。しかも、このデジタルタイマー２３の表示を、
炊飯運転に係わる操作部２１及び表示部としての発光体
２２と同一の操作パネル９で行なうことにより、実用性
を一層向上できる。
【００１５】また、上記操作部２１の操作は下向きの押
圧力を作用させることになるため、従来の操作部の如き
本体の側方に押圧力を作用させる場合とは異なり、操作
部２１の押圧操作時に本体１が側方へずれ動くこともな
い。更に、操作パネルの操作部が横向きである従来の場
合では、他の器物等を本体の側部近傍に移動させた時
に、該器物が操作部に接触してこれが誤操作される虞れ
があるが、しかし本実施例では操作部２１部分を上向き
にしているので、器物が操作部２１部分に当接すること
を極力防止できる。
【００１６】一方、このように操作パネル９を上向きに
設けると該操作パネル９に水滴等が掛かりやすい事情が
あるが、この点本実施例によれば、操作パネル９にこれ
の操作部２１，表示部としての発光体２２及びデジタル
タイマー２３を上方から覆うカバー２５を設けたので、
該操作パネル９部分に、例えば本体１の取扱い時等にお
いて水滴が掛かったり或いは炊飯時において鍋から吹き
こぼれたいわゆるおねば等が掛かったとしても、その水
滴やおねば等をカバー２５にて受けることができ、よっ
てその水滴やおねば等が操作パネル９内部に浸入するこ
とを防止し得、従って操作部２１，発光体２２及びデジ
タルタイマー２３の水濡れ等を防止できる。また、操作
パネル９の上面にはおねば等の汚れやほこり等も付着し
にくいことから掃除する場合にもカバー２５だけで済
み、掃除を容易に行ない得る。更には、カバー２５があ
ることから操作部２１に誤って触れて誤操作する虞れも
なくし得る。
【００１７】また、特に本実施例によれば、カバー２５
を透光性を有するように形成しているので、カバー２５
を閉鎖させた状態のままで該カバー２５を通して操作パ
ネル９の窓部１７，１８，１９を容易に見ることがで
き、視認性を損なうことはない。更に本実施例によれ
ば、カバー２５の先端部に傾斜状の水切部２６を形成し
ているので、カバー２５の上面に掛かった水等を水切部
２６から下方へ容易に流すことができ、従って水等がカ
バー２５に滞留することを防止し得、しかも該水切部２
６の下方に空間部２７を形成しているので、該水切部２
６から落ちた水がカバー２５下面と銘板１６との間に浸
入することもなく、総じて操作パネル９部分における水
切を確実ならしめ得る。
【００１８】尚、本発明は上記し且つ図面に示した実施
例にのみ限定されるものではなく、例えば操作パネル９
をカバー６とは別体に構成した場合にも適用できる等、
要旨を逸脱しない範囲内で適宜変更して実施し得るもの
である。

【発明の効果】本発明によれば、炊飯運転に係わる操作
部及び表示部、並びにタイマー表示の視認性を向上させ
ることができると共に、操作部の操作性を向上させるこ
とができ、使い勝手を良好にできるという優れた効果を
