When the car 5 is raised, the oil in the oil tank 10 is suctioned through the filter 11 by the action of the hydraulic pump 12 by a control device (not shown), and the oil is piped while controlling the flow rate through the flow rate control valve 14 on the discharge side. From 15, the pressure is fed into the cylinder 3 of the hydraulic jack 2 in the hoistway 1. As a result, the plunger 4 of the jack 2 is raised, and the car 5 thereon is pushed up to the destination floor. On the other hand, when lowering the car 5, the control device switches the flow control valve 14,
The oil in the cylinder 3 of the hydraulic jack 2 is returned into the oil tank 10 while controlling the flow rate from the pipe 15 through the silencer 16 and the flow rate control valve 14 by the weight of the car 5 by its own weight. This causes the car 5 to descend to the destination floor together with the plunger 4 of the jack 2.

In this state, the hydraulic pump 12 or the flow control valve
Although there is residual oil in the pipes 18 and 19 up to 14, since the upper part communicates with the atmosphere through the air suction holes 32a of the air suction pipe 32, the air is discharged from the pipes 18 and 19 through the air holes 32a. And the residual oil in the pipes 18 and 19 flows down to the hydraulic pump 12 and the like. At that time, if the hydraulic pump 12 is rotated by inching or manual operation, the residual oil in the pipe 18 smoothly flows down to the hydraulic pump 12 side. Also, piping 19 on the flow control valve 14 side
The residual oil inside can be smoothly drained to an appropriate container by opening the drain 27 below the pipe 19.
