【産業上の利用分野】本考案は横長形状の凹部または穴
部を塗装等の表面処理から保護するために用いられるマ
スキング材に関するものである。

【従来の技術】従来より例えば自動車の塗装の際には、
図4に示すようにバンパー(1) の横長形状の空気取入口
(11,11) に、該空気取入口(11,11) の形状に対応する横
長形状のマスキング材(2) を取付けて該空気取入口(11,
11) に塗料が付着しないように保護する。この場合該マ
スキング材(2) は図5に示すように該バンパー(1) の空
気取入口(11,11) に嵌合部(21)を嵌合し、該嵌合部(21)
の上下縁部(22,23) を粘着テープ(3) でバンパー(1) の
空気取入口(11,11) の上下縁に止着して該マスキング材
(2) の上下縁の押えとする。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、従来の
横長形状のマスキング材(2) では嵌合部(21)の上下縁部
(22,23) が、バンパー(1) の空気取入口(11,11) 周縁部
から浮上り易く、粘着テープ(3) で止着する作業が困難
で手間がかゝった。

【課題を解決するための手段】本考案は上記従来の課題
を解決するための手段として、周縁部に溝(14A) を有す
る横長形状のマスキング個所(11A) に取付けられるマス
キング材(2A)であって、該マスキング材(2A)はシートの
成形物であって、本体の上下周縁からは周縁フランジ(2
2A,23A) が設けられ、上側の周縁フランジ(22A) の端縁
からは該マスキング個所(11A) 周縁部の溝(14A) に嵌合
される嵌合フランジ(22B) が屈曲形成され、該本体上周
縁と、上側の周縁フランジ(22A) と、嵌合フランジ(22
B) とによって断面コの字形補強部(22C) が形成されて
いるマスキング材(2A)を提供するものである。

A) に嵌合してマスキング材(2A)の周縁の押えとする
が、該嵌合フランジ(22B) には該補強部(22C) のリブ効
果による剛性が付与され、該嵌合フランジ(22B) は該溝
(14A) に容易に嵌合される。

【実施例】本考案を図1〜図3に示す一実施例によって
説明すれば、バンパー(1A)には左右一対の空気取入口(1

内側には横桟(12A,12A) および縦桟(13A,13A) が設けら
れ、更に該空気取入口(11A,11A) の上縁には図2に示す
ように溝(14A,14A) が形成されており、また下縁には段

ジ(22A,23A) が設けられ、更に上側の周縁フランジ(22
A) の端縁からは嵌合フランジ(22B) が屈曲形成され、
該マスキング材(2A)の上縁には該嵌合部(21A) 上周縁
と、周縁フランジ(22A) と、嵌合フランジ(22B) とによ
って断面コの字形の補強部(22C) が形成され、また横桟
嵌合部(24A,24A) および縦桟嵌合部(25A,25A) が形成さ
れている。

ることなく上縁の押えとする。該マスキング材(2A)の上
縁は断面コの字形補強部(22C) によって補強されてお
り、変形が防止されているから嵌合作業は容易である。

スチックのシートまたは該熱可塑性プラスチックの発泡
体のシート、あるいはメチルペンテンコポリマー、ポリ
エチレンテレフタレート、ポリスルホン、ポリフェニレ
ンオキシド、ポリアミドイミド、ポリイミド等の熱可塑
タイプのエンジニアリングプラスチック、アミノビスマ
レイミド、ビスマレイミドアジン系熱硬化型芳香族ポリ
イミド等のエンジニアリングプラスチックの一種または
二種以上混合されたシートまたは発泡体のシート、ある
いはポリウレタン、メラミン樹脂、尿素樹脂、フェノー
ル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂等の熱硬化性プラスチックのシー
トまたは該熱硬化性プラスチックの発泡体のシート、あ
るいはスチレンーブタジエンゴム、アクリロニトリルー
スチレンーブタジエンゴム、アクリロニトリルーブタジ
エンゴム等の合成ゴムおよび天然ゴム類のシートまたは
該ゴム類の発泡体のシート、あるいはポリアミド繊維、
ポリエステル繊維、アクリル繊維、アセテート繊維等の
合成繊維、木質繊維、天然繊維、無機繊維およびこれら
の不織布や編織物、紙、ダンボール、木、合板、ハード
ボード等をポリウレタン、メラミン樹脂、尿素樹脂、フ
ェノール樹脂等のバインダーを含浸させた含浸シート、
あるいは金属シート、あるいは前記材料の二種以上の積
層物等からなる成形体である。
