A disk-shaped chuck base is provided with a plurality of locking bases which are moved in a radial direction by a driving mechanism, and a mounting claw is provided on each locking base so as to be slidable in a radial direction. A machine tool chuck having, on one and the other of the moving parts, a projection and a concave portion which are fitted and locked in a non-removable manner in the axial direction when the mounting claw moves radially outward with respect to the locking base. In the mounting claw coupling device, the mounting surface of the locking table on which the mounting claw slidably contacts is formed as a slope inclined in a direction in which the axial end side approaches the chuck base and the outer peripheral end side separates from the chuck base. A pressurizing surface is provided at the outer peripheral end of the mounting surface of the locking base to abut against the outer peripheral end surface of the mounting claw, and a work holding portion is provided at the axial end surface of the mounting claw so as to be deviated more toward the chuck base than the pressing surface.
