Conventionally, in order to join the shaped members as described above, generally, fixing means such as welding or bonding, rivets,
It is performed using fixing members such as bolts and nuts. Further, a technique described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 60-24911 is known as one that uses a connecting member for connecting pipes. The technique described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open Publication No. 60-24911 discloses a method in which a cylindrical portion of a coupling member having a concave groove along a circumferential direction is fitted into a pipe, and the pipe is roll-formed into the concave groove of the coupling member. This is a method of connecting the connecting member and the pipe by performing the above.

However, the conventional joining method has a problem that not only many steps are required but also a reliable joining cannot be performed. That is, in connection by a fixing means such as welding or bonding, there are problems that it is difficult to improve the dimensional accuracy of the joined portion and that skill is required for applying a brazing material or an adhesive. In addition, in a joining method using a fixing member such as a rivet or a bolt / nut, a fixing member such as a rivet is required,
Since processing for attaching these fixing members is required, there are problems that the number of steps is increased, and that much time and labor are required. Further, in the connecting method described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 24911/1985, there is a problem that it is difficult to connect the two members in a T-shape.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, a caulking hole is formed in the connecting member fixed to the connecting portion of the first profile, and the connecting member is connected to the first profile. And is inserted into the hollow portion of the second section, and a load is applied to the second section to apply deformation to the second section, and this deformed section is used for caulking. The two sections can be joined by engaging the holes. Therefore, the two sections can be simply and reliably connected via the connecting member without using fixing means such as welding or fixing members such as rivets.

1. A method for joining cross sections of a first section and a second section having a hollow portion, wherein the first section and the second section are connected to each other at a joining portion of the first section. An insertion hole is formed, and a caulking receiving material having a receiving reinforcing portion is inserted into the hollow portion corresponding to the caulking portion from the insertion portion side end of the second shape material, and the insertion hole of the first shape material is provided. A load is applied to the first section in a state where the second section is inserted therein, thereby deforming the first and second sections, and the deformed portion is engaged with the caulking receiving section. And joining the shapes.
