(Conventional technology and problems) Mink oil is a fatty oil characterized by containing about 20% of palmitoleic acid as a fatty acid composition, which is obtained from subcutaneous adipose tissue of mink. Refined mink oil has the property of less skin irritation because it contains palmitoleic acid in a relatively large amount, and has a lower surface tension than oils collected from other animals and plants, and has spreadability and permeability. It is suitable for cosmetic raw materials because it has no stickiness when applied to the skin and has a dry feel.

Conventionally, mink oil has been refined through the steps of oiling, boiling, solid fat separation, deacidification, decolorization, hydrorefining, and deodorizing purification. Examples of such deodorizing and purifying steps include blowing of clean air or steam, hydrogen Means such as addition, activated carbon treatment, activated clay treatment or silica gel treatment have been adopted, but it is difficult to completely remove odorous components with the existing means, and the use of mink oil having the above-mentioned characteristics is limited. There was a problem of receiving.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) An object of the present invention is to provide an odorless mink oil which can completely remove odorous components in mink oil and can be used without any trouble in cosmetics and the like.

The zeolite used in the present invention is 4 to 20 °, preferably 5 to 20 °.
Those having a pore diameter of about 15 ° are desirable. If the pore diameter is outside this range, the odorous components are not sufficiently adsorbed and removed.

Next, as a method of contacting the mink oil with the zeolite, a known high-speed or industrial liquid chromatography column is filled with the zeolite, and the mink oil is passed through to remove odorous components. A known or well-known method can be employed, such as removing odorous components by stirring for a predetermined time after appropriately adding.

In addition, the temperature at the time of contact is preferably in the range of 20 to 80 ° C., and when the temperature is lower than the range, the viscosity and surface tension of the mink oil increase to lower the adsorption efficiency, or solid components are precipitated. If the problem occurs and exceeds the range,
Oxidation of mink oil occurs. The deodorizing treatment can be performed at such a relatively low temperature because the specific zeolite is selectively adsorbable to the odorous component in the mink oil as shown below, and the purified mink oil of the method of the present invention does not require a high temperature. Is excellent in fields where heat stability is strictly required, such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

In the treatment according to the present invention, the solvent of the mink oil does not need to be used in contacting the mink oil to be treated with the zeolite. In other words, although deodorization can be achieved by using a solvent in combination, there is no merit because the solvent needs to be separated. This may also be due to the selectivity of the particular zeolite.

Further, the mink oil to be subjected to the refining treatment may be unpurified mink oil or mink oil refined by a conventional method. By employing the latter, an odorless mink oil having higher quality can be obtained.

(Effect of the Invention) By employing the refining method of the present invention, odorous components in mink oil are selectively adsorbed on zeolite, and odorless mink oil, which has been difficult with conventional refining methods, can be produced. Thus, it can be used not only in cosmetics but also in the field of pharmaceuticals and the like.
