(Prior art) In drilling, generally about half of the thrust of the cutting force is concentrated on the chisel edge at the tip of the drill.
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, when thinning F 1 , F 2 is applied to the chisel edge E at the tip of the drill, the chip discharge at the tip is improved, the thrust is reduced, and the life of the drill is prolonged. In the drawing, A 1 , A 2 are the groove portions B 1 ,
B 2 is a part of the blade. By the way, since thinning for this in the past is performed using a thinning device prepared separately from drill grinding, the work is troublesome,
And it is expensive. In addition, Tokiko 50-54
No. 33 performs grinding and thinning of a drill bit, but is not performed using a flat grindstone and is expensive in terms of handling and operation.

The specific configuration for this purpose is as described in JP-B-59-43263. Reference numeral 7 denotes a base for holding a flat polishing grindstone at a constant height at the other side of the apparatus main body 2. On the base, a flat polishing grindstone G is moved right and left (a) through a horizontal slider 8 and a vertical slider 9. ) (B) or slidable in the front and rear (c) and (d) directions. Specifically, as shown in FIG.
A dovetail projection 10 is provided on the top and a horizontal slider 8 is provided.
In addition to forming a dovetail groove 11 which engages with this, the two are fitted and engaged, and a rack 12 is mounted on the front of the gantry and a rack gear 13 meshing with the rack 12 is provided on the front of the horizontal slider 8. In this case, 14 is a bearing, 15 is its support shaft, and 16 is a lever attached to a support shaft 15 for rotating the rack gear by operating the handle appropriately. Swings, the horizontal slider 8 slides in the left and right (A) and (B) directions. Note that a dovetail groove projection 17 for engaging with the vertical slider 9 is provided on the upper surface of the horizontal slider 8, and the projection 17 is formed at a constant rising angle (approximately 10 ° to 20 °) toward the front surface. In parallel with this, a female screw 19 is cut inward in the rear central portion of the projection 17 in a predetermined length range inward. On the other hand, the vertical slider 9 has bearing portions 20a and 20b on its front surface for supporting a grindstone pedestal described later, and a dovetail groove 21 for engaging with the dovetail groove projection 17 on the lower inner surface. The rear surface is fastened with a set screw 26 to a bracket plate 25 that rotatably supports a grip 24 having a male screw 23 at a longitudinal end portion, using a set screw 26. The male screw 23 of the grip 24 and the female screw 19 provided on the dovetail groove projection 17 are threadedly engaged with the dovetail groove projection 17 for engagement. ), The vertical slider 9 is slid in the front-back (c) and (d) directions. Numeral 27 denotes a grindstone pedestal having bearings 28a and 28b provided on both sides of the lower surface, rotatably supported via a support shaft 29 in a state of being engaged with the bearing of the vertical slider 9, and A motor 30 having a flat grinding wheel G attached to a drive shaft is integrally mounted on the unit. Here 3
Reference numeral 1 denotes a lever provided on the grindstone gantry 27, which is used to pull the lever 31 toward the rear side of the vertical slider 9 by holding the lever 31 during a thinning operation described below. The semi-circle can be rotated in the direction of the arrow (i) around the support shaft 29. (Refer to FIG. 6.) In the drawing, reference numeral 32 denotes a grindstone cover 33 and 34 denotes a grindstone gantry 2.
7 is a screw thread for stopper for restricting the tilting position before and after 7. Next, the operation will be described. In the present invention, the cutting edge of the drill 5 was initially ground (B 1 , B 1 in FIG. 1).
In B 2 ), as shown in FIG. 4, the drill 5 is held by the chuck 4 and the grindstone gantry 27 is tilted forward, so that the rotation axis of the flat grinding grindstone G is lower than the drill center line OO ′. , Ie, in the illustrated example, θ is approximately −10 °. The cone target angle setting base block 2 is slightly loosening the clamp handle K, status and name of the grinding surface of the drill bit is properly rotated in accordance with the cone destination angle (B 1 or B) is in contact with flat abrasive grinding wheel G In this state, the clamp handle K is tightened and fixed in this state. Thus, by driving the motor 30 with rotating the flat abrasive grinding wheel G in the arrow direction k, the grinding of the drill blade edge surface appropriately rotate the spindle rotation handle 6 (B 1, B 2) Do. In this case, the state in which the grinding is performed in accordance with the rotation of the spindle rotating handle 6 is described in
As described in Japanese Patent No. 45263, the flat-type polishing grindstone G during the work is caused to slide the vertical slider 9 backward (C) by holding the grip 24 and rotating it appropriately. As a result, a good contact state can always be obtained. Next, thinning is performed on the grounded drill bit by the apparatus. Specifically, the clamp K is loosened so that the tip of the drill bit is perpendicular to the polishing surface of the flat grinding wheel G. In this state, the tip angle setting plate 2 is rotated to tighten the clamp K, and the lever 16 is swung by holding the lever 16 by hand to move the horizontal slider 8 in the left-right direction (a).
(B) so as to bring one end edge (m, see FIG. 2) of the flat type grinding wheel G to a desired set position P (see FIG. 1A) on the chisel edge E; Then, while driving the motor 30 to rotate the flat grinding wheel, the lever 31 is held by hand and rotated by a semicircle in the direction of the arrow (R) as shown in FIG. 6, whereby the flat grinding wheel is rotated. G moves to the upper side of the tip of the drill bit, and the chisel edge portion of one half from the point P set above is thinning F.
And than the those 1 is performed the thinning F 2 other halves in the same manner.
