筒エンジンの低温始動装置を得ることを目的とする。

7は、そのままアイドリング時に混合気を供給する通路
として用いられ、低温で冷機時にも安定したアイドリン
グ運転ができる。エンジンが復調して暖機したところ
で、スロットルバルブ6を用いた平常運転に切替える。

バルブよりも上流側で連結したバイパス通路にコントロ
ールバルブとコールドスタートインジェクターを設け、
該バイパス通路の先端部を各吸気管と分配連結する分配
通路とし、この分配通路を前記サージタンクと前記各気
筒とを結ぶ前記吸気管よりも極めて細い通路としたの
で、低温時に、コントロールバルブで流量を調節したバ
イパス通路の吸気に、コールドスタートインジェクター
で、濃い燃料を噴射し、各気筒の吸気管に送って容易に
始動ができる。そして、コールドスタートインジェクタ
ーが一個でよくて安価にでき、バイパス通路が吸気管よ
りも極めて細い通路であるので、サージタンクから吸気
管に流れ込む吸気流れに比べ、極めて勢いのある速い吸
気流れが得られて、良好な混合気ができる。また、バイ
パス通路の分配通路でない太めの部分から細めの分配通
路に至るまで一連の連続した経路ということができるの
で、吸気流れはスムーズでもある。したがって、一層良
好な混合気ができる。又、バイパス通路は、アイドリン
グ通路としても用いることができて、冷機時にも安定し
たアイドル回転ができる。
