As shown in FIG. 4 according to the purpose of the treatment, the tip electrode portion for performing incision and coagulation forms a spatula-shaped portion 24, and the spatula-shaped portion 24 mainly applies high frequency to tissues such as muscle and fat in the abdominal cavity. It is incised and solidified by utilizing the heat generation effect of electric current. That is, in the case of incision, the spatula-shaped portion 24 is pushed (pulled) along the muscle or fat tissue while being cut open so that the spatula-shaped portion 24 is burnt out, and the incision is made as if it was cut open with a scalpel. Further, the electrode shown in FIG. 5 has a curved portion 26 in which a distal end portion to be treated is formed by bending a cylindrical tube into a substantially J shape.
As shown in FIG. 6, the mucous membrane in the abdominal cavity or fibrous tissue 28 is hooked on the inside of the curved portion 26 and the tissue 28 is cut by utilizing the heat generation effect of the high frequency current.

However, as described above, muscles, fats, mucous membranes, fibrous tissues and the like are mixed in the abdominal cavity, and the operator has an electrode having a shape suitable for the tissue to be incised during the operation. I had to choose and replace it to perform surgery. At this time, there are problems that it takes time to replace the electrodes and that carbon dioxide gas filled in the abdominal cavity easily leaks when the electrodes are replaced, which causes various inconveniences.

In the electrode for an electrosurgical instrument according to the present invention, a plurality of electrode tips for supplying a high-frequency current to living tissue are bent to form a hook shape, and a push-cut type first incision portion is provided outside the hook portion. Therefore, the living tissue is incised by bringing the first incision into contact with the surface of the living tissue and pushing (pulling) along the surface of the living tissue. Further, since the hook-cut second incision portion is provided inside the hook portion, the living tissue is incised by hooking the living tissue inside the hook.

That is, the electrode 1 for an electrosurgical instrument inserted into the abdominal cavity through the trocar presses the first incision 16 against the surface of the muscle or fat tissue 30 as shown in FIG. While pulling, the tissue 30 such as muscle and fat is incised by the heat generated by the high frequency current supplied from the electrosurgical instrument body to the electrode 1. Further, the second incision section 18 hooks a mucous membrane or a fibrous tissue on the inner portion of the hook section to incise and cut the biological tissue, as in the method shown in FIG.
