A cylindrical bell mouth 7 is provided on the opening edge of 3b so as to surround the outlet side (rear edge side) of the mixed flow fan 6, and by driving the fan motor 6, outside air is introduced from the suction port 3a. The heat is exchanged with the outdoor heat exchanger 5. A compressor 8 is installed in the compressor room 4. However, 9 is a packed valve that fits with an indoor unit (not shown) provided in the cabinet 1.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in an outdoor unit using such an outdoor fan 10, the depth and width dimensions of the cabinet 1 are reduced in order to make the unit small, and the outdoor heat exchanger 5 has a smaller size. When it is brought close to the end, the outer peripheral end of the mixed flow fan 6 is too close to the R portion 5a (arc-shaped curved portion) of the outdoor heat exchanger 5, and there is a drawback that noise is increased. Further, if the distance between the R portion 5a and the outer peripheral end of the mixed flow fan 6 is increased in order to reduce noise, the mixed flow fan 6 having a small outer diameter D 0 does not generate a predetermined air volume, so that the outdoor side. The heat exchanger 5 had to be made larger by that amount, and it was difficult to reduce the size and weight.

[Configuration of the Invention] (Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the blade portion of the axial fan surrounded by the bell mouth has an outer diameter that follows the cylindrical shape of the bell mouth. The outer diameter of the blade portion protruding from the bell mouth of the fan to the outdoor heat exchanger is gradually reduced toward the leading edge.

The front edge that protrudes from the bell mouth is the part that includes the maximum diameter that ensures a large air volume, and even if the outdoor unit is downsized, the outer peripheral edge is extremely curved to the curved part of the outdoor heat exchanger. The structure does not approach, and low noise and large air volume are maintained.

In this embodiment, the mixed flow fan 6 that constitutes the outdoor fan 10 is used.
They differ in the shape of the blade (axial fan). That is, the plurality of blades 20 constituting the mixed flow fan 6 have a blow-out side surrounded by the bell mouth 7, which is indicated by ranges H 1 and l 1 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Therefore, in the outdoor unit having the mixed flow fan 6, when the depth and width dimensions of the cabinet 1 are reduced and the end portion of the outdoor heat exchanger 5 is approached, the outdoor heat exchanger 5 is
It is pointed out that the R portion 5a and the outer peripheral end of the mixed flow fan 6 are too close to each other.

However, according to the present invention, the outer diameter D 1 of the blade 20 on the leading edge side is gradually reduced toward the leading edge.
This makes it possible to secure a certain distance in the R portion 5a. However, the outdoor heat exchanger 5 and the mixed flow fan 6 come close to each other, and the gradually reduced outer peripheral end portion of the mixed flow fan 6 becomes a relief, and the mixed flow fan 6 and the R portion 5a do not come extremely close to each other. Therefore, it is possible to bring the entire mixed flow fan 6 closer to the outdoor heat exchanger 5 side while suppressing an increase in noise and maintaining a large air volume, and it is possible to realize a small outdoor unit with low noise. In particular, this effect is effective when the ratio (D 1 > D 0 ) of the maximum diameter of the outdoor fan 10 to the diameter on the front edge side is within a certain range. According to the experiment, the A dimension between the left end of the outdoor heat exchanger 5 shown in FIG. 3 and the outer peripheral end of the blade portion adjacent thereto is made the same, and the relation between noise and "D 1 / D 0 " is shown. As a result of the investigation, the result shown in FIG. 4 was obtained,
From this result, if the range of "0.90 <D 1 / D 0 <0.98" is R part 5a
It was found that the noise rise was small even when the distance between the mixed flow fan 6 and the mixed flow fan 6 was reduced.

Specifically, a cylindrical bell mouth 7 that gradually expands as the inner diameter becomes closer to the outlet side is used. As the bell mouth 7 expands, the blade portion 26 of the propeller fan 25 surrounded by the bell mouth 7 also The diameter is gradually enlarged so that the outer diameter follows the shape of the inner surface of the mouse 7.

With such a structure, it is possible to obtain the optimum blowing efficiency in a wide range of use for cooling and heating, and at the same time, to prevent pressure loss due to collision and vortex generation, and further to prevent noise generation.

[Effect of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, the blade portion on the trailing edge side surrounded by the bell mouth includes the maximum diameter, and the blade portion on the leading edge side protruding from the bell mouth is the axial flow.
