Description

This disclosure relates to a package that contains an absorbent article.

Packages in which absorbent articles such as disposable diapers and light incontinence pads are packed in packaging material typically have a product name display to distinguish one product group from other products, a function display section to explain the product's features, and a specification display section to explain the product's specifications.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a package that arranges a type reminder mark, a function explanation mark, an identification mark, a design, and a user reminder mark in a predetermined arrangement to make it easier to select a desired product from multiple types of products with different specifications.

Patent Document 2 also discloses a package for absorbent goods that includes a character display used on the absorbent goods, an information display, and a character-related display that is arranged within a predetermined range from the character display and surrounds the information display with a graphic of the same outline as the character display, in order to improve the appeal of the display provided on the package for absorbent goods.

However, neither of the two patent documents above takes into consideration how the information displayed on the product's packaging appears when the product is displayed in its display position.

In general, when products are displayed on shelves in a retail store, best-selling products are displayed at the center height of the shelf where they are easily noticeable to users such as purchasers, while other products are often displayed at the top or bottom of the shelf. Information displayed on the packaging of products displayed at the center height of the shelf is easily visible to users. On the other hand, information displayed on the packaging of products displayed at the top or bottom of the shelf is difficult to see, so users must pick up the product from above or below the shelf or bend down to see the information displayed on the product packaging. However, in the case of light incontinence products, for example, users are often reluctant to carefully look at the information displayed on the product packaging in the store before making a selection.

Therefore, the present disclosure aims to provide a package that allows products to be displayed so that the user can easily recognize information about the desired product while standing.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In each drawing, arrow X indicates the up-down direction, arrow Y indicates one direction intersecting (orthogonal) with the up-down direction, and arrow Z indicates another direction intersecting (orthogonal) with both the up-down direction and the one direction. The packaging body 10 has a hexahedral shape with rounded corners when the plurality of absorbent articles 11 are packaged in the packaging material 12. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the packaging body 10 has a design on the surface of the packaging material 12, assuming that the packaging body 10 will stand with a predetermined surface as the lower surface 12a. In the following description, the state in which the predetermined surface stands with the lower surface 12a as the lower surface (predetermined state) may be referred to as the "standing state".

(Absorbent article)
The absorbent article 11 includes items that absorb body fluids, such as disposable diapers, urine absorption pads, light incontinence pads, sanitary products, etc. These absorbent articles 11 are folded into a predetermined shape and size and stored inside the packaging material 12. Note that body fluids refer to liquids discharged from the body to the outside, such as urine, sweat, blood, and water in loose stools.

(Packaging materials)
The packaging material 12 is a sheet-like member that packages a plurality of absorbent articles 11, and constitutes the surface of the package 10. That is, the packaging material 12 may have a hexahedral shape with rounded corners, and may have a rectangular parallelepiped or cubic shape. The packaging material 12 is formed of a soft resin material such as PE (Polyethylene), PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PP (Polypropylene), or PS (Polystyrene).

The packaging material 12 has a bottom surface 12a located at the bottom, a top surface 12b located at the top, and four side surfaces 12c to 12f.

The four side surfaces 12c to 12f are the first side surface (first display surface) 12c, the second side surface (second display surface) 12d, the third side surface 12e, and the fourth side surface 12f. The first side surface 12c and the second side surface 12d are arranged on both sides of the one direction (Y direction) that intersects with the up-down direction (X direction). The third side surface 12e and the fourth side surface 12f are arranged on both sides of the other direction (Z direction) that intersects with the up-down direction (X direction).

(First aspect)
As shown in Fig. 1, the first side surface 12c is a surface disposed on one side in the one direction (Y direction). Various information is displayed on the first side surface 12c. The first side surface 12c is divided into three areas, an upper area, a middle area, and a lower area, each of which mainly displays different information. These three areas function, from above, as a first characteristic display section 15, a first product name display section 13, and a first specification display section 14. That is, the first side surface 12c has the first product name display section 13, the first specification display section 14, and the first characteristic display section 15.

(First product name display section)
The first product name display section 13 is an area of the first side surface 12c that mainly displays the product name of the absorbent article 11. The product name of the absorbent article 11 is a name given to the absorbent article 11 to distinguish the absorbent article 11 from other products, and may be, for example, a registered trademark. The product name of the absorbent article 11 is represented by characters (including various characters such as hiragana, katakana, alphabet, and kanji. The same applies below.) and figures. (First specification display section)
The first specification display section 14 is an area of the first side surface 12c that mainly displays the specifications of the absorbent article 11, and is located below the first product name display section 13. The specifications of the absorbent article 11 are information that an absorbent article necessarily has, and are information that a user uses to compare with other products. For example, the specifications of the absorbent article 11 include at least one of the shape, size, color, absorption amount, usage method (daytime/nighttime), and number of absorbent articles 11 contained in the package 10 of the absorbent article 11. In this embodiment, the number of pieces (60 pieces), size (regular, 27 cm), and absorption amount (120 cc) are displayed in the first specification display section 14 as the specifications of the absorbent article 11. The specifications of the absorbent article 11 are represented by characters, figures, etc. The up-down orientation of the characters and figures representing the specifications of the absorbent article 11 in the first specification display section 14 is oriented assuming that the package 10 is in an upright state. The first specification display section 14 in this embodiment is disposed at the bottom of the first side surface 12c. Note that, although the number of sheets, size, and absorption capacity are displayed as the specifications of the absorbent article 11 in this embodiment, the displayed specifications are not limited to these. Furthermore, the information displayed in the first specification display section 14 is not limited to only the specifications of the absorbent article 11, and other information may be displayed in addition to the specifications of the absorbent article 11 in the first specification display section 14.

It is preferable that the vertical length L2 of the first specification display section 14 is set to 10% to 30% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 12c. By setting the vertical length L2 of the first specification display section 14 within the above range, the specifications of the absorbent article 11 can be displayed sufficiently to be visible, and sufficient display space can be secured for the other display sections (first product name display section 13 and first feature display section 15).

(First characteristic display section)
The first characteristic display section 15 is an area of the first side surface 12c that mainly displays the characteristics of the absorbent article 11, and is located above the first product name display section 13. The characteristics of the absorbent article 11 are information about functions that are not essential for the absorbent article but are provided to improve ease of use, etc., and may or may not be functions that other products also have. In this embodiment, the first characteristic display section 15 displays "instant deodorization,""antibacterial," and "weak acidity" as the characteristics of the absorbent article 11. The characteristics of the absorbent article 11 are represented by characters and figures. The up-down direction of the characters and figures, etc., that represent the characteristics of the absorbent article 11 in the first characteristic display section 15 is a direction that assumes that the package 10 is in an upright state. In other words, the up-down direction of the characters and figures that represent the characteristics of the absorbent article 11 in the first characteristic display section 15 is the up-down direction of the package 10 in an upright state. The first characteristic display section 15 in this embodiment is located at the upper part of the first side surface 12c. In this embodiment, "instant deodorization", "antibacterial", and "weak acidity" are displayed as the characteristics of the absorbent article 11, but the displayed characteristics are not limited to these. It is preferable that the vertical length L3 of the first characteristic display section 15 is set to 25% to 45% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 12c. By setting the vertical length L3 of the first characteristic display section 15 within the above range, the characteristics of the absorbent article 11 can be clearly highlighted, while also ensuring sufficient display space for the other display sections (first product name display section 13 and first specification display section 14).

(Second aspect)
As shown in FIG. 2, the second side 12d is a surface disposed on the other side of the one direction (Y direction). That is, the second side 12d is located on the opposite side of the first side 12c across the absorbent article 11 (see FIG. 1). The second side 12d displays various information similar to that of the first side 12c. The second side 12d is divided into three areas, an upper area, a middle area, and a lower area, each of which displays different main information. These three areas function, from above, as a second specification display section 17, a second product name display section 16, and a second feature display section 18. That is, the second side 12d has the second product name display section 16, the second specification display section 17, and the second feature display section 18.

(Second product name display section)
The second product name display section 16 is an area of the second side surface 12d that mainly displays the product name of the absorbent article 11. The vertical orientation of the characters and figures representing the product name of the absorbent article 11 in the second product name display section 16 is oriented assuming that the package 10 is in an upright state. In other words, the vertical orientation of the characters and figures representing the product name in the second product name display section 16 is the vertical direction of the package 10 in an upright state. The second product name display section 16 of this embodiment is disposed in the center of the first side surface 12c in the vertical direction. Note that the information displayed in the second product name display section 16 is not limited to only the product name of the absorbent article 11, and other information (e.g., a catch phrase, etc.) may be displayed in the second product name display section 16 in addition to the product name of the absorbent article 11.

It is preferable that the vertical length L4 of the second product name display section 16 is set to 25% to 45% of the vertical length L of the second side surface 12d. (Second specification display section)
The second specification display section 17 is an area of the second side surface 12d that mainly displays the specifications of the absorbent article 11, and is located above the second product name display section 16. The vertical orientation of the letters and figures representing the specifications of the absorbent article 11 in the second specification display section 17 is oriented assuming that the package 10 is in an upright state. In other words, the vertical orientation of the letters and figures representing the specifications of the absorbent article 11 in the second specification display section 17 is oriented in the vertical direction of the package 10 in an upright state. The second specification display section 17 in this embodiment is disposed at the top of the second side surface 12d. Note that the information displayed in the second specification display section 17 is not limited to the specifications of the absorbent article 11, and other information may be displayed in the second specification display section 17 in addition to the specifications of the absorbent article 11.

It is preferable that the vertical length L5 of the second specification display section 17 is set to 10% to 30% of the vertical length L of the second side surface 12d. By setting the vertical length L5 of the second specification display section 17 within the above range, the specifications of the absorbent article 11 can be displayed sufficiently to be visible, and sufficient display space can be secured for the other display sections (the second product name display section 16 and the second feature display section 18).

(Second characteristic display section)
The second characteristic display section 18 is an area of the second side surface 12d that mainly displays the characteristics of the absorbent article 11, and is located below the second product name display section 16. The vertical orientation of the characters and figures that represent the characteristics of the absorbent article 11 in the second characteristic display section 18 is oriented assuming that the package 10 is in an upright state. In other words, the vertical orientation of the characters and figures that represent the characteristics of the absorbent article 11 in the second characteristic display section 18 is the vertical direction of the package 10 in an upright state. The second characteristic display section 18 in this embodiment is disposed at the lower part of the second side surface 12d. Note that the information displayed in the second characteristic display section 18 is not limited to only the characteristics of the absorbent article 11, and other information may be displayed in the second characteristic display section 18 in addition to the characteristics of the absorbent article 11.

It is preferable that the vertical length L6 of the second characteristic display section 18 is set to 25% to 45% of the vertical length L of the second side surface 12d. By setting the vertical length L6 of the second characteristic display section 18 within the above range, the characteristics of the absorbent article 11 can be clearly highlighted, while also ensuring sufficient display space for other display sections (the second product name display section 16 and the second specification display section 17).

(Third and fourth aspects)
1 and 2, the third side 12e and the fourth side 12f are surfaces disposed on both sides in the other direction (Z direction) and are located on opposite sides of the absorbent article 11. Various designs and information indications are provided on the third side 12e and the fourth side 12f. The information indications provided on the third side 12e and the fourth side 12f may be, for example, a detailed description of the absorbent article 11 (which may include at least one of the product name, specifications, and features of the absorbent article 11) written in characters large enough to be read only when the package 10 is picked up.

(Color of specification display section)
The first specification display section 14 and the second specification display section 17 each have a colored identification section 19 (hatched area in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2) that can distinguish the difference from other products with different specifications by color. The colored identification section 19 is a predetermined area of the first specification display section 14 and the second specification display section 17, and has a base color (hereinafter referred to as "specification base color") according to the specifications of the absorbent article 11 contained therein (the specifications of the product). It is preferable to set the specification base color of the colored identification section 19 to a color different from the product base color that is the base of other areas (areas different from the colored identification section 19) of the first side surface 12c and the second side surface 12d. For example, it is preferable to unify the product base color of the same products (including products with different specifications) with the same product name or brand name to pink, and set different specification base colors for products with different specifications within the same product. In this embodiment, a part of the specifications of the absorbent article 11 is displayed in the colored identification section 19. Note that the product base color and the specification base color are not limited to a single color, and may be composed of multiple colors. Furthermore, the specifications of the absorbent article 11 may be indicated in an area other than the colored identification portion 19 .

In this way, by standardizing the product base color of the same products (including products with different specifications) with the same product name or brand name, users can quickly distinguish the product with the desired product name based on the product base color. In addition, the first specification display unit 14 and the second specification display unit 17 each have a colored identification unit 19 that can distinguish the difference between the product and other products with different specifications by color, so users can quickly distinguish the product with the desired specifications from among products with the same product name based on the specification base color.

It is preferable that the area of the colored identification section 19 is 50% or more and 100% or less of the area of the first specification display section 14 or the second specification display section 17. This makes the colored identification section 19 more noticeable, so that even if the characters of the specifications of the absorbent article 11 displayed on the first specification display section 14 and the second specification display section 17 are small, the user can more easily and quickly identify the product with the desired specifications based on the specification base color of the colored identification section 19.

Next, a case where the package 10 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf or the like in a retail store will be described. FIG. 3 is a perspective view from below of the package displayed on a shelf above eye level with the first display surface facing forward. FIG. 4 is a perspective view from above of the package displayed on a shelf below eye level with the second display surface facing forward.

As shown in FIG. 3, when the package 10 is displayed as a commodity on shelf 1H at a relatively high position (e.g., above the eye level of the user) in a retail store, the first side 12c of the packaging material 12 is displayed facing the front (e.g., toward the aisle where the user passes). When the first side 12c is displayed facing the front in this way, the first specification display section 14 is located at the lowest position of the first side 12c. In other words, when a user looks up to see the package 10 on shelf 1H, the first specification display section 14, which displays the specifications of the product to be compared with other products, becomes the most noticeable to the user. Also, when a user looks up to see the package 10 on shelf 1H, the first product name display section 13, which displays the product name that has the function of distinguishing it from other products, becomes the second most noticeable to the user after the first specification display section 14.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, when the package 10 is displayed as a commodity on shelf 1L at a relatively low position (for example, below the eye level of the user) in a retail store, the second side 12d of the packaging material 12 is displayed facing forward. When the second side 12d is displayed facing forward in this way, the second specification display section 17 is located at the topmost position of the second side 12d. In other words, when a user looks down to view the package 10 on shelf 1L, the second specification display section 17, which displays the specifications of the product to be compared with other products, becomes the most noticeable to the user. Also, when a user looks down to view the package 10 on shelf 1L, the second product name display section 16, which displays the product name that has the function of distinguishing it from other products, becomes the second most noticeable to the user after the second specification display section 17.

When the package 10 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf (not shown) in the middle of a store (e.g., at approximately the same height as the user's eye level), the package 10 may be displayed with the first side 12c of the package 12 facing forward, or the second side 12d may be displayed with the package 10 facing forward.

In the package 10 configured as described above, in the upright state, the first specification display section 14 on the first side surface 12c of the packaging material 12 is located below the first product name display section 13, and the first feature display section 15 is located above the first product name display section 13. Therefore, when the package 10 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf 1H at a relatively high position (for example, above the eye level of the user) in a retail store, the first specification display section 14 can be positioned at the bottom of the first side surface 12c where it is easily noticeable to the user by displaying the package 10 with the first side surface 12c of the packaging material 12 facing forward. When displayed in this manner, the first specification display section 14, which displays the specifications of the commodity to be compared with other commodities, is most easily noticeable to the user, so that the user can easily recognize the desired information of the commodity from the package 10 displayed on the shelf 1H while standing, without picking up the commodity from the shelf 1H.

In addition, in the upright position, the second specification display section 17 is located above the second product name display section 16, and the second feature display section 18 is located below the second product name display section 16. Therefore, when the package 10 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf 1L at a relatively low position (for example, below the eye level of the user) in a retail store, the second side 12d of the packaging material 12 is displayed facing forward, so that the second specification display section 17 can be positioned at the top of the second side 12d where it is easily noticeable to the user. When displayed in this manner, the second specification display section 17, which displays the specifications of the commodity to be compared with other commodities, is most easily noticeable to the user, so that the user can easily recognize the desired information of the commodity from the package 10 displayed on the shelf 1L while standing, without having to squat down.

In this way, the packaging body 10 according to this embodiment has two display surfaces (first side surface 12c and second side surface 12d) with different information display positions at the top and bottom, so the display surface facing forward can be used depending on the height at which the packaging body 10 is displayed. Therefore, no matter what height the packaging body 10 is displayed as a product, the user can easily recognize the product information (particularly the specifications).

Therefore, according to the present disclosure, products can be displayed in a way that allows a user to easily recognize information about a desired product while standing.

In addition, when the package 10 is displayed on a shelf 1H at a relatively high position, the upper part of the package 10 appears smaller than the lower part when viewed from the user. For this reason, it is preferable to set the vertical length L1 of the first product name display section 13 to 25% to 45% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 12c, the vertical length L2 of the first specification display section 14 to 10% to 30% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 12c, and the vertical length L3 of the first feature display section 15 to 25% to 45% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 12c. As a result, when the package 10 is displayed on a shelf 1H at a relatively high position with the first side surface 12c of the packaging material 12 facing forward, the display of the first product name display section 13 and the first feature display section 15 located above the first specification display section 14 can be easily seen.

In addition, when the package 10 is displayed on a shelf 1L at a relatively low position, the lower part of the package 10 appears smaller than the upper part when viewed from the user. Figure 5 is a perspective view of the packaging body according to the second embodiment of the present invention from the first display surface side. Figure 6 is a perspective view of the packaging body from the second display surface side.

As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, a packaging body 20 according to a second embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of absorbent articles 21 and a packaging material 22 for packaging the plurality of absorbent articles 21. The packaging body 20 has a hexahedral shape with rounded corners when the plurality of absorbent articles 21 are packaged in the packaging material 22. As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the packaging body 20 is designed on the surface of the packaging material 22, assuming that the packaging body 20 will stand with a predetermined surface as the lower surface 22a. In the following description, the state in which the predetermined surface stands with the lower surface 22a as the lower surface (predetermined state) may be referred to as the "standing state".

(Absorbent article)
The absorbent article 21 is similar to the absorbent article 11 of the first embodiment, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted.

(Packaging materials)
The packaging material 22 is a sheet-like member that packages a plurality of absorbent articles 21, and constitutes the surface of the package 20. That is, the packaging material 22 may have a hexahedral shape with rounded corners, and may have a rectangular parallelepiped or cubic shape. The packaging material 22 is formed of a soft resin material such as PE (Polyethylene), PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PP (Polypropylene), or PS (Polystyrene).

The packaging material 22 has a bottom surface 22a located at the bottom, a top surface 22b located at the top, and four side surfaces 22c to 22f.

The four side surfaces 22c to 22f are a first side surface (first display surface) 22c, a second side surface (second display surface) 22d, a third side surface 22e, and a fourth side surface 22f. The first side surface 22c and the second side surface 22d are arranged on both sides of the one direction (Y direction) that intersects with the up-down direction (X direction). The third side surface 22e and the fourth side surface 22f are arranged on both sides of the other direction (Z direction) that intersects with the up-down direction (X direction).

(First aspect)
As shown in Fig. 5, the first side surface 22c is a surface disposed on one side in the one direction (Y direction). Various information is displayed on the first side surface 22c. The first side surface 22c is divided into two areas, an upper section and a lower section, each of which mainly displays different information. These two areas function, from above, as a first product name display section 23 and a first specification/features display section 24. That is, the first side surface 22c has the first product name display section 23 and the first specification/features display section 24.

(First product name display section)
The first product name display section 23 is an area of the first side surface 22c that mainly displays the product name of the absorbent article 21. The vertical orientation of the characters and figures that represent the product name of the absorbent article 21 in the first product name display section 23 is assumed to be in an upright state of the package 20. That is, the vertical orientation of the characters and figures that represent the product name in the first product name display section 23 is the vertical direction of the package 20 in the upright state. In this embodiment, "ABC Skin Care Pad" is used as an example of the product name of the absorbent article 21, but the product name is not limited to this. In addition, the information displayed in the first product name display section 23 is not limited to only the product name of the absorbent article 21, and other information (e.g., a catch phrase, etc.) may be displayed in the first product name display section 23 in addition to the product name of the absorbent article 21.

It is preferable that the vertical length L1 of the first product name display section 23 is set to 50% or more and 65% or less of the vertical length L of the first side surface 22c. By setting the vertical length L1 of the first product name display section 23 within the above range, the product name of the absorbent article 21 can be made to stand out, and sufficient display space for other display sections (first specification/feature display section 24) can be ensured.

(First specification/feature display section)
The first specification/characteristics display section 24 is an area of the first side surface 22c that mainly displays the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 21, and is located below the first product name display section 23. In this embodiment, the number of sheets (60 sheets), size (regular, 27 cm), and absorption capacity (120 cc) are displayed as the specifications of the absorbent article 21, and "instant deodorization", "antibacterial", and "weak acidity" are displayed as the characteristics of the absorbent article 21 in the first specification/characteristics display section 24. The vertical orientation of the characters and figures representing the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 21 in the first specification/characteristics display section 24 is assumed to be in an upright state. It is preferable that the vertical length L2 of the first specification/characteristics display section 24 is set to 35% or more and 50% or less of the vertical length L of the first side surface 22c. By setting the vertical length L2 of the first specification/characteristics display section 24 within the above range, the specifications of the absorbent article 21 can be displayed sufficiently to be visible, and sufficient display space for other display sections (first product name display section 23) can also be secured.

(Second aspect)
As shown in Fig. 6, the second side 22d is a surface disposed on the other side of the one direction (Y direction). That is, the second side 22d is located on the opposite side of the first side 22c across the absorbent article 21 (see Fig. 5). The second side 22d displays various information similar to that of the first side 22c. The second side 22d is divided into two areas, an upper section and a lower section, each of which mainly displays different information. These two areas function, from above, as a second specification/characteristics display section 26 and a second product name display section 25. That is, the second side 22d has a second product name display section 25 and a second specification/characteristics display section 26.

(Second product name display section)
The second product name display section 25 is an area of the second side surface 22d that mainly displays the product name of the absorbent article 21. The up-down orientation of the characters and figures, etc., that represent the product name of the absorbent article 21 in the second product name display section 25 is oriented assuming that the package 20 is in an upright state. In other words, the up-down orientation of the characters and figures that represent the product name in the second product name display section 25 is oriented in the up-down direction of the package 20 in an upright state. Note that the information displayed in the second product name display section 25 is not limited to only the product name of the absorbent article 21, and in addition to the product name of the absorbent article 21, other information (e.g., a catch phrase, etc.) may be displayed in the second product name display section 25.

It is preferable that the vertical length L3 of the second product name display section 25 is set to 50% to 65% of the vertical length L of the second side surface 22d. By setting the vertical length L3 of the second product name display section 25 within the above range, the product name of the absorbent article 21 can be made to stand out, and sufficient display space for other display sections (second specification/feature display section 26) can be ensured. Note that in this embodiment, the vertical length L of the second side surface 22d is the same as the vertical length L of the first side surface 22c, but this is not limited thereto and they may be different lengths.

(Second specification/feature display section)
The second specification/characteristics display section 26 is an area of the second side surface 22d that mainly displays the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 21, and is located above the second product name display section 25. The vertical orientation of the letters and figures representing the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 21 in the second specification/characteristics display section 26 is an orientation that assumes that the package 20 is in an upright state. In other words, the vertical orientation of the letters and figures representing the specifications of the absorbent article 21 in the second specification/characteristics display section 26 is the vertical direction of the package 20 in an upright state. The second specification/characteristics display section 26 of this embodiment is disposed at a position that includes the upper portion of the second side surface 22d. Note that the information displayed in the second specification/characteristics display section 26 is not limited to the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 21, and other information may be displayed in the second specification/characteristics display section 26 in addition to the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 11.

It is preferable that the vertical length L4 of the second specification/characteristics display section 26 is set to 35% or more and 50% or less of the vertical length L of the second side surface 22d. By setting the vertical length L4 of the second specification/characteristics display section 26 within the above range, the specifications and characteristics of the absorbent article 21 can be displayed sufficiently to be visible, and sufficient display space for other display sections (second product name display section 25) can also be secured.

(Third and fourth aspects)
5 and 6, the third side 22e and the fourth side 22f are surfaces disposed on both sides in the other direction (Z direction) and are located on opposite sides of the absorbent article 21. Various designs and information indications are provided on the third side 22e and the fourth side 22f. The information indications provided on the third side 22e and the fourth side 22f may be, for example, a detailed description of the absorbent article 21 (which may include at least one of the product name, specifications, and features of the absorbent article 21) written in characters large enough to be read only when the package 20 is picked up.

(Color of specifications/feature display section)
The first specification/characteristics display section 24 and the second specification/characteristics display section 26 each have a colored identification section 27 (hatched area in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6) that can distinguish the difference from other products with different specifications by color. The colored identification section 27 is a predetermined area of the first specification/characteristics display section 24 and the second specification/characteristics display section 26, and has a specification base color according to the specification of the absorbent article 21 contained therein (the specification of the product). It is preferable to set the specification base color of the colored identification section 27 to a color different from the product base color that is the base of other areas (areas different from the colored identification section 27) of the first side surface 22c and the second side surface 22d. For example, it is preferable to unify the product base color of the same products (including products with different specifications) with the same product name or brand name to pink, and set different specification base colors for each product with different specifications within the same product. In this embodiment, a part of the specifications of the absorbent article 21 is displayed in the colored identification section 27. Note that the specifications of the absorbent article 11 may be displayed in another area different from the colored identification section 27.

In this way, the first specification/characteristics display section 24 and the second specification/characteristics display section 26 each have a color identification section 27 that can distinguish the difference between the product and other products with different specifications by color, so that the user can quickly identify a product with the desired specifications from among a group of products with the same product name based on the specification base color.

It is preferable that the area of the colored identification section 27 is 50% or more and 100% or less of the area of the first specification/characteristics display section 24 and the second specification/characteristics display section 26. This makes the colored identification section 27 more noticeable, so that even if the characters of the specifications of the absorbent article 21 displayed in the first specification/characteristics display section 24 and the second specification/characteristics display section 26 are small, the user can more easily and quickly identify the product with the desired specifications based on the specification base color of the colored identification section 27.

Next, a case where the package 20 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf or the like in a retail store will be described. FIG. 7 is a perspective view from below of the package displayed on a shelf above eye level with the first display surface facing forward. FIG. 8 is a perspective view from above of the package displayed on a shelf below eye level with the second display surface facing forward.

As shown in FIG. 7, when the package 20 is displayed as a commodity on shelf 1H at a relatively high position (e.g., above the eye level of the user) in a retail store, the first side 22c of the packaging material 22 is displayed facing the front (e.g., toward the aisle where the user passes). When the first side 22c is displayed facing the front in this way, the first specification/feature display section 24 is located at the lowest position of the first side 22c. In other words, when a user looks up to see the package 20 on shelf 1H, the first specification/feature display section 24, which displays the product's features and the specifications of the product to be compared with other products, becomes the most noticeable to the user. Also, when a user looks up to see the package 10 on shelf 1H, the first product name display section 23, which displays the product name that has a function of distinguishing it from other products, becomes the second most noticeable to the user after the first specification/feature display section 24.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 8, when the package 20 is displayed as a commodity on shelf 1L at a relatively low position (for example, below the eye level of the user) in a retail store, the second side 22d of the packaging material 22 is displayed facing the front. When the second side 22d is displayed facing the front in this way, the second specification/characteristics display section 26 is located at the topmost position of the second side 22d. In other words, when a user looks down to see the package 20 on shelf 1L, the second specification/characteristics display section 26, which displays the characteristics of the commodity and the specifications of the commodity to be compared with other commodities, becomes the most noticeable state to the user. Also, when a user looks down to see the package 20 on shelf 1L, the second product name display section 25, which displays the product name that has the function of distinguishing it from other commodities, becomes the second most noticeable state to the user after the second specification/characteristics display section 26.

When the package 20 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf (not shown) in the middle of a store (e.g., at approximately the same height as the user's eye level), the package 20 may be displayed with the first side 22c of the package 22 facing forward, or the second side 22d may be displayed with the package 22 facing forward.

In the package 20 configured as described above, in the upright position, the first specification and characteristics display section 24 on the first side surface 22c of the packaging material 22 is located below the first product name display section 23. Therefore, when the package 20 is displayed on a shelf 1H at a relatively high position in a retail store, the first specification and characteristics display section 24 can be located at the bottom of the first side surface 22c where it is easily noticeable to users by displaying the package 20 with the first side surface 22c of the packaging material 22 facing forward. When displayed in this manner, the first specification and characteristics display section 24, which displays the product's features and the specifications of the product to be compared with other products, is most easily noticeable to users, so that the user can easily recognize the desired product information from the package 20 displayed on the shelf 1H while standing, without picking up the product from the shelf 1H.

In addition, in the upright position, the second specifications and characteristics display section 26 is located above the second product name display section 25. Therefore, when the package 20 is displayed as a commodity on a shelf 1L at a relatively low position in a retail store, the package 20 can be displayed with the second side surface 22d of the packaging material 22 facing forward, so that the second specifications and characteristics display section 26 can be located at the top of the second side surface 22d, where it is easily noticeable to users. When displayed in this manner, the second specifications and characteristics display section 26, which displays the characteristics of the commodity and the specifications of the commodity to be compared with other commodities, is most easily noticeable to users, so that the user can easily recognize the desired information of the commodity from the package 20 displayed on the shelf 1L while standing, without having to squat.

In this way, the packaging body 20 according to this embodiment has two display surfaces (first side surface 22c and second side surface 22d) with different information display positions at the top and bottom, so that the display surface facing forward can be used depending on the height at which the packaging body 20 is displayed. Therefore, no matter what height the packaging body 20 is displayed as a product, the user can easily recognize the product information (particularly the specifications).

Therefore, according to the present disclosure, products can be displayed in a way that allows a user to easily recognize information about a desired product while standing.

Furthermore, when the package 20 is displayed on a shelf 1H at a relatively high position, the upper part of the package 20 appears smaller than the lower part when viewed from the user. It is preferable to set the vertical length L1 of the first product name display section 23 to 50% to 65% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 22c, and it is preferable to set the vertical length L2 of the first specifications and features display section 24 to 35% to 50% of the vertical length L of the first side surface 22c. This makes it possible to make the display of the first product name display section 23, which is located above the first specifications and features display section 24, more easily visible when the package 10 is displayed on a shelf 1H at a relatively high position with the first side surface 22c of the packaging material 22 facing forward.

Furthermore, when the package 20 is displayed on a shelf 1L at a relatively low position, the lower part of the package 20 appears smaller than the upper part when viewed from the user. For this reason, it is preferable to set the vertical length L3 of the second product name display section 25 to 50% to 65% of the vertical length L of the second side surface 22d, and it is preferable to set the vertical length L4 of the second specifications/features display section 26 to 35% to 50% of the vertical length L of the second side surface 22d. This makes it possible to make the display of the second product name display section 25, which is located below the second specifications/features display section 26, more easily visible when the package 20 is displayed on a shelf 1L at a relatively low position with the second side surface 22d of the packaging material 22 facing forward.
