Abstract
Description
本出願は2020年3月13日出願の米国仮特許出願第62/989159号、発明の名称「Portable Ventilator」の利益を主張し、その内容全体がその全体において参照によりここに取り込まれる。
COPDは、進行性肺疾患のグループである。最も一般的なものは、肺気腫及び慢性気管支炎である。COPDを患う多くの人は、その状態の両方を有する。肺気腫は肺の気嚢を徐々に破壊し、それは吐出気流を阻害する。気管支炎は気管の炎症及び狭小化を引き起こし、それにより粘液が蓄積する。
海面位における男性の平均的な総肺気量は約6リットル(6L)であり、女性については約4.2リットル(4.2L)である。体格が大きくかつ体力のある人及びより高い標高に住む人は、通常はより大きな総肺気量を有する。一回呼吸量、すなわち、両性別について、安静時呼吸中に肺に出入する空気の体積は、平均約500ミリリットル(500mL)である。
過剰な酸素を供給することなく、増加した酸素流量及び圧力を送給してPEEPを生成する1つの方法は、ベンチュリーマスク又は鼻腔カニューレを使用することである。
従来技術の人工呼吸器は、以下に記載するものを除き、可搬性についてほとんど乃至まったく考慮されることなく病院又は在宅使用のために設計されている。なぜなら、患者は通常は移動可能ではなく、機器は固定の電源、すなわち、壁コンセントを必要とし、又は可搬電源が利用されたとしても非常に重く扱いにくいものとなるからである。
Claims (22)
- 濃縮酸素を患者に送給するための酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器であって、該酸素送給システムは、
酸素濃縮器のハウジングと、
前記ハウジングの内部に搭載された圧縮機と、
前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記圧縮機と流体接続している篩モジュールであって、濃縮酸素を生成するために圧力変動吸着プロセスを通じて空気から窒素を除去するためのゼオライトを含む篩モジュールと、
前記ハウジングに取り付けられた電源と、
前記圧力変動吸着プロセスを電子的に制御するためのコントローラデバイスと、
前記酸素濃縮器と流体連通している送風装置であって、
送風機ハウジング、
前記送風機ハウジングの内部に搭載された送風機モータ、
前記送風機モータに接続された送風機ファン、
前記送風機ハウジングに取り付けられた第2の電源、及び
前記送風装置を電子的に制御するための送風機コントローラデバイス、
を備える送風装置と、
を備える酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。 - 前記圧縮機は、濃縮酸素送給管を通じて前記送風装置と流体連通している、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記濃縮酸素送給管からの酸素フローが、タービン入口ベンチュリーを介して前記送風機ファンに追加のエネルギーを付加する、請求項2に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風機ハウジングに取り付けられた入口フィルタを通じて周囲空気が前記送風機ファンに導入される、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風機ファンからの濃縮酸素が、前記送風機ハウジングに取り付けられたカニューレコネクタを通じて前記送風装置から出る、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風装置は、患者送給ホースを通じて患者インターフェースへの送給のための加圧酸素を保存する、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風装置と流体連通している患者インターフェースであって、前記患者に濃縮酸素を供給するように構成された患者インターフェースをさらに備える請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風機ハウジング内に位置するバルブであって、前記圧縮機から前記送風機ファンへの濃縮酸素の流量を制御するバルブをさらに備える請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記篩モジュールは、前記ハウジング内に取外し可能に搭載可能である、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記電源は、前記ハウジングに取外し可能に搭載された充電可能なバッテリからなる、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記第2の電源は、前記送風機ハウジングに取外し可能に搭載された充電可能なバッテリからなる、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風機ハウジング内に搭載されて該送風機ハウジングを通じた周囲空気及び酸素の流量を制御する第1、第2及び第3のバルブをさらに備える請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記第1、第2及び第3のバルブは、圧電バルブからなる、請求項12に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記圧電バルブは、前記送風機コントローラによって制御される、請求項13に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記ハウジング及び前記送風機ハウジングは一体であり、前記圧縮機、篩モジュール、電源、送風機モータ及び送風機ファンは前記ハウジング及び前記送風機ハウジング内に位置する、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風機ハウジングに搭載され、前記送風機ファンから下流側に配備された薬剤送給装置をさらに備える請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記薬剤送給装置は、ネジ状遠位端及びネジ状近位端を有する取外し可能な中空カートリッジからなる、請求項16に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記薬剤送給装置の内部が、薬物又は水分溶出ポリマーで覆われている、請求項16に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記薬物又は水分溶出ポリマーは、ポリエーテルブロックアミドからなる、請求項18に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記薬物又は水分溶出ポリマーは、前記送風機ファンからのガスが前記薬剤送給装置を流通するにつれて溶出する薬剤で含浸されている、請求項18に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風機コントローラデバイスが、前記送風機ファンの速度を増加又は減少させて、前記送風機ハウジングを通じる及び前記患者への周囲空気及び酸素の流量を制御するように構成された、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
- 前記送風装置は、前記篩モジュール及び前記ハウジングと前記送風機ハウジングの間に延在する濃縮酸素送給管を通じて前記圧縮機と流体連通している、請求項1に記載の酸素送給システム又は可搬人工呼吸器。
