Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a splicing film for joining together the trailing edge of a leading film and the leading edge of a trailing film.
Many of the films for filling and packaging machines that are used to continuously or intermittently fill and package liquids, powders, etc. by automatic filling and packaging machines pass through printing, laminating, slitting, etc. , 2000 m, etc., and supplied to the automatic filling and packaging machine in a wound state (original roll).
However, in the process of manufacturing the film for filling and packaging machines, if there is a printing defect or lamination defect, etc., that part may be cut off and the film will be shorter than the predetermined length specified by the customer. Sometimes I end up
In order to provide customers with films of a predetermined length, adhesive tapes such as cellophane tape are generally used to make up for the shortfall by joining other films.
In the method of joining films using adhesive tape, first, the trailing end of a film that has not reached a predetermined length (hereinafter referred to as the preceding film) and the leading end of a film that compensates for the shortfall (following film) are attached. butt each other. Next, by sticking an adhesive tape so as to cover it along the seam of the butted leading and trailing films, joining becomes possible.
However, when a film for filling and packaging machines bonded with an adhesive tape is used, there is a problem that the content leaks when a packaging bag is made by filling a liquid, powder, or the like. This is because in the process of folding the leading and trailing films in two in the width direction and heat-sealing them in the vertical and horizontal directions to make a bag (hereinafter referred to as the bag-making process), the adhesive tape joints are not sufficient. This is because heat sealing is not performed properly. Therefore, the machine must be stopped when the joined portion is made into a bag, which imposes a burden on the operator. In addition, film loss, content loss, time loss, etc. occurred.
In order to solve the above problems, in
However, in the method of
Therefore, according to the present invention, the trailing edge of the leading film and the trailing edge of the trailing film can be easily placed on the butted seams and maintained and fixed without using a special film splicing device or machine. It is therefore an object of the present invention to propose a spliced film that prevents contents from leaking when a bag is made at the spliced portion.
When the spliced film is placed on the seam where the tail end of the preceding film and the leading end of the succeeding film are butted against each other so as to be positioned outside the bag made in the bag making process, and the seam is covered, the contents The material leaks out of the bag and the seams cannot be reliably sealed. Therefore, in order to place the spliced film so as to be positioned inside the bag made in the bag-making process and to maintain a state in which the seams are reliably covered, the inventors first determined the heat seal layer of the spliced film. An adhesive is provided on the entire surface (the surface in contact with the leading and trailing films) so that it can be fixed while being placed on the leading and trailing films. However, when the seam film having the adhesive applied over the entire surface is placed on the leading and trailing films and heat-sealed, the heat-sealing layer is hindered by the adhesive, and heat welding around the seam cannot be performed. The contents leaked from the seam.

Therefore, by partially providing an adhesive on the surface of the heat seal layer of the splicing film (the surface in contact with the leading and trailing films), the adhesive part maintains the state of being placed on the leading and trailing films. In addition to heat-sealing the heat-sealing layer where the adhesive is not provided and where the heat-sealing layer is exposed, the content does not leak from the location where the splicing film is provided. reached.

The present invention will be described in detail below. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments, and can take various forms within the scope of the effects of the present invention.

As for the printing of patterns and characters, it is preferable to print the left-right asymmetric patterns and characters so that the front and back can be clearly identified so that the operator can easily determine which side the adhesive 7 is provided on. .

The width direction of the splice film 6 (first heat seal layer 1) and the length direction of the splice film 6 (first heat seal layer 1) shown in FIG. 3 are the same directions in FIGS. 4 to 8 as well.
FIG. 3 shows an embodiment when the adhesive 7 is provided on the first
At this time, the dot pattern is provided in a state in which the
Moreover, when the adhesive 7 is provided in a dot pattern, the circle does not need to be a perfect circle, and may be a rough circle such as an ellipse. Furthermore, other than the circle, a person skilled in the art may take any suitable shape such as a square or a triangle. Good, you can think of a variety of patterns.

The dot pattern in FIG. 4A is arranged at equal intervals in the length direction of the first

The shape of the pattern provided point-symmetrically is not limited to the patterns shown in FIGS.

The area where the adhesive 7 is provided is preferably 5 to 50% of the surface area of the first
If the area where the adhesive 7 is provided is 5% or less, the amount of the adhesive 7 is small, so that the film is not firmly fixed when performing the film splicing work, and improvement in work efficiency cannot be expected, which is not preferable. .
In addition, if the area where the adhesive 7 is provided exceeds 50%, the amount of the adhesive 7 becomes large, which hinders the heat-sealing property of the first heat-
The thickness of the adhesive 7 is preferably 1 μm to 100 μm, more preferably 5 μm to 50 μm, even more preferably 10 μm to 30 μm.
If the thickness of the adhesive 7 is less than 1 .mu.m, the amount of the adhesive 7 is too small to firmly fix the films during the splicing work, and improvement in work efficiency cannot be expected.
In addition, when the thickness of the adhesive 7 is 100 μm or more, when the adhesive 7 is heat-sealed, the adhesive 7 spreads more than the pattern at the time when the adhesive 7 is provided, and the heat-sealing property of the heat-sealing layer is deteriorated. It is not preferable because it hinders and the contents are likely to leak.

In addition, the evaluation method performed in each example is as follows.

The same test was repeated 4 times, and the case where leakage did not occur in all 4 times was evaluated as ◯, the case where leakage occurred one or more times was evaluated as Δ, and the case where leakage occurred in all 4 times was evaluated as x. As for the results of the pressure resistance test after a few days, the presence or absence of leakage after a few days was evaluated among those in which no leakage occurred immediately after the pressure resistance test.
(3) Bonding strength test The bonding strength when two films, which are assumed to be the preceding film and the following film, are bonded with a splicing film with a width of 15 mm was measured under the conditions of a chuck distance of 40 mm and a speed of 300 mm / min. It was measured by In addition, the bonding strength was evaluated according to the following criteria.
◎: Bonding strength is 50.0 N/15 mm or more ○: Bonding strength is 40.0 N/15 mm or more and less than 50.0 N/15 mm ×: Bonding strength is less than 40.0 N/15 mm Bonding strength is 50.0 N/15 mm or more If the film is strong, it can be used without being torn even if the film joined by the splicing film is set in a filling packaging machine and used with strong tension.

As shown in Table 1, with respect to the sealing workability, when the adhesive was provided (Example 1-3, Comparative Example 2), the joining work could be performed by one person. On the other hand, in the case where the adhesive was not provided (Comparative Example 1), it was impossible for one person to perform the splicing work.
Regarding the pressure resistance test, when the adhesive was provided in a dot pattern on the surface of the first heat seal layer (Examples 1 and 2), leakage occurred immediately after pressure resistance and after several days in all four tests. I didn't. Further, when the adhesive was intermittently provided on the surface of the first heat-sealing layer along the width direction edge of the first heat-sealing layer (Example 3), immediately after pressure resistance, 1 out of 4 times Leakage occurred, but in the remaining 3 cases where leakage did not occur immediately after pressure resistance, leakage did not occur even after several days passed. In the case where no adhesive was provided (Comparative Example 1), no leakage occurred immediately after pressure resistance and after several days in all four tests.
In addition, when the adhesive was provided on the entire surface (Comparative Example 2), leakage occurred immediately after pressure resistance in all four tests.
Regarding the bonding strength test, when the adhesive was partially provided (dot pattern) (Examples 1 and 2) and when the adhesive was not provided (Comparative Example 1), the strength was 50.0 N / 15 mm or more. It was found that when the adhesive was provided in a dot pattern, the bonding strength was sufficient compared to when the adhesive was not provided.
