Claims (35)
- 電気神経(510)刺激のための方法であって、前記方法は、
複数の連続したパルス列(110)を備えている電気刺激パターン(100)を発生させることであって、各パルス列(110)は、パルス列振幅(111)を有する、ことと、
少なくとも1つの電極組(310)を有する刺激装置(300)を用いて、前記電気刺激パターン(100)を対象の神経(510)に送達することと、
前記電気刺激パターン(100)を変調することと
を含み、
前記電気刺激パターン(100)の変調は、決定された標的刺激振幅(130)が達せられるまで、刺激発現(101)時、前記パルス列振幅(111)を1つのパルス列(110)から次のパルス列(110)に段階的に増加させることを含み、
前記電気刺激パターン(100)の変調が、前記標的刺激振幅(130)が達せられた後、前記標的刺激振幅(130)を各パルス列(110)内で定義されたステップダウン振幅(140)まで減少させることをさらに含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記標的刺激振幅(130)は、急激な様式において、前記ステップダウン振幅(140)まで減少させられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 各パルス列(110)内の前記標的刺激振幅(130)は、ランプアップ持続時間(132)を備えているランプアップ関数に従って達せられ、前記ランプアップ持続時間(132)は、前記パルス列振幅(111)が前記標的刺激振幅(130)に達するために要する時間として定義されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記標的刺激振幅(130)は、前記ステップダウン振幅(140)まで減少させられる前、定義された保持持続時間(131)にわたって維持されることを特徴とする、請求項1-3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記連続したパルス列(110)の各々は、パルス列時間間隔(113)によって分離されることを特徴とする、請求項1-4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 各パルス列(110)は、複数の連続したパルス(120)を備えていることを特徴とし、各パルス(120)は、単一パルス振幅および単一パルス持続時間(121)を有し、連続したパルス(120)は、単一パルス時間間隔(122)によって分離される、請求項1-5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 各パルス列(110)は、パルス列長(112)およびパルス列時間間隔(113)を有し、前記パルス列長(112)とパルス列時間間隔(113)とは、一緒に、パルス列周波数およびデューティサイクルを定義することを特徴とする、請求項1-6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記電気刺激パターン(100)の変調は、外部デバイス(400)に関連付けられた一次アンテナと前記埋め込み可能刺激装置(300)に関連付けられた二次アンテナとの間の結合の程度の決定に基づくことを特徴とする、請求項1-7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記電気刺激パターン(100)は、確認パルス(150)および遅延時間(151)をさらに備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1-8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
