Abstract

Claims (20)
- 患者の骨の伸延のためのシステムであって、
患者の皮下に埋め込まれるように構成される伸延装置であって、
前記骨の対向する骨片に取り付けられて、前記骨について伸延骨形成を実行するように構成された伸延要素と、
前記磁気要素の回転によって前記伸延要素の動きを制御するように、前記伸延要素に結合した回転可能な磁気要素と、
を備える伸延装置と、
前記伸延装置に動作可能に結合するハンドヘルド装置であって、
前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素の回転が、前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素の対応する回転を生じさせるように、前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素に動作可能に結合しかつ前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素と磁気的に整列する磁気要素を備え、前記磁気要素は、1つ以上の伸延パラメータに基づいて回転するように構成されている、ハンドヘルド装置と、
を備えるシステム。 - 前記ハンドヘルド装置が、回転可能なねじキャップをさらに備え、該ねじキャップの回転により、前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素に対する前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素の距離が調整される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハンドヘルド装置が、前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素を始動させるように構成されたボタンまたはレバーの少なくとも一方をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記伸延装置が、前記ハンドヘルド装置のマイクロプロセッサに通信可能に結合する電子要素をさらに備え、前記電子要素が、前記回転可能な磁気要素の1つ以上の回転をカウントすることによって伸延の距離を決定するように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記電子要素が、前記回転可能な磁気要素が発生させる磁場の1つ以上の中断を検出することによって前記回転可能な磁気要素の前記1つ以上の回転をカウントするように構成され、各々の中断が、前記回転可能な磁気要素の1回転に対応し、前記回転可能な磁気要素上のフェライト片が、前記磁場を中断させるように構成されている、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の伸延パラメータに基づいて前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素の回転を制御するように構成されたマイクロプロセッサをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記伸延パラメータを変更して前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記マイクロプロセッサに送信するように構成されたユーザ装置をさらに備える、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハンドヘルド装置が、患者の非順守および安全事象を記録および報告するようにさらに構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素に結合し、該磁気要素の回転を生じさせるモータをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素が、前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素との磁気的整列にずれが存在する場合にもトルク発生能力を失わないように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素が、直径方向磁極となるように構成され、前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素が、少なくとも2つの磁石を備え、第1の磁石と第2の磁石とが反対の極性を有するように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 患者の骨の頭蓋-顎の顔伸延のための方法であって、
伸延装置を患者の皮下において骨の対向する骨片に埋め込むステップと、
ハンドヘルド装置を1つ以上の伸延パラメータでプログラムするステップと、
前記ハンドヘルド装置の磁気要素の回転によって前記伸延装置の磁気要素の対応する回転が生じるように、前記ハンドヘルド装置を前記伸延装置に磁気的に結合させるステップと、
前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素が前記1つ以上の伸延パラメータに基づいて回転するように、前記ハンドヘルド装置を始動させるステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記ハンドヘルド装置が、所定の時間パラメータに従って伸延が生じていることを確認する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドヘルド装置が、前記1つ以上の伸延パラメータについてユーザの順守を監視する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 伸延の距離を監視するステップをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記監視するステップが、前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素の回転の数をカウントして伸延の距離を決定する、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 伸延の速度を監視するステップをさらに含み、前記速度は、該速度が前記1つ以上の伸延パラメータの範囲内にない場合に調整され、かつ/あるいは伸延が、伸延の前記速度が前記伸延パラメータに適合できない場合に終了させられる、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 伸延のレートを監視するステップをさらに含み、前記レートの急な変化の検出が、警報を発生させる、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素に加えられるトルクを監視するステップをさらに含み、前記トルクの急な変化または総トルクの増大の検出が、警報を発生させる、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 回転可能なねじキャップを回転させるステップをさらに含み、該ねじキャップの回転により、前記伸延装置の前記磁気要素に対する前記ハンドヘルド装置の前記磁気要素の距離が調整される、請求項12に記載の方法。
