Claims (23)
- 油流出を浄化する方法であって、
油性物質に油吸着剤組成物を接触させるステップであって、
前記油吸着剤組成物が、高密度化された植物材料残渣の小片を含み、
前記植物材料残渣が、非繊維性植物材料を含み、
前記高密度化された植物材料残渣の前記小片が、0.2~0.5g/cm3の嵩密度を有する、該ステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記高密度化された植物材料残渣は、亜麻シブを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記高密度化された植物材料残渣は、トウモロコシ茎葉、ヘンプハード、バガス、麦藁、大麦藁、スイッチグラス、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の方法であって、

前記油吸着剤組成物は、前記高密度化された植物材料残渣を、該組成物の70重量%超、80重量%超、90重量%超、または95重量%超の量で含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1~9のいずれかに記載の方法であって、
前記油性物質に前記油吸着剤組成物を接触させるステップの後に、前記油性物質に接触させた前記油吸着剤組成物を焼却するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 油浄化組成物であって、
高密度化された植物材料残渣の小片を含み、
前記植物材料残渣は、非繊維性植物材料を含み、

当該油浄化組成物は、亜麻シブを、該組成物の70重量%超、または80重量%超の量で含むことを特徴とする組成物。 - 請求項11または12に記載の油浄化組成物であって、
組成物が、ASTM試験F726-17に従って試験した場合に、0.75~1.00の体積に基づくD5平均油吸着比率(cm3/cm3)を有することを特徴とする組成物。 - 請求項11~13のいずれかに記載の油浄化組成物であって、

前記ブリケットを、0.2~0.5g/cm3の嵩密度を有する個別の小片に粉砕するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項17に記載の方法であって、
前記植物材料残渣は、0.75~0.95g/cm3の密度を有するブリケットに高密度化されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項17または18に記載の方法であって、
前記個別の小片は、0.25~0.4g/cm3の嵩密度を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項17~19のいずれかに記載の方法であって、

前記ブリケットは、2つの回転ローラの間に形成された隙間を介して供給されることによって前記個別の小片に粉砕され、
前記2つの回転ローラは、前記ブリケットが供給される隙間を形成するべく互いに1.27~5.08cmの距離を隔てて配置されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項17~20のいずれかに記載の方法であって、
前記ブリケットは、ローラミルまたはハンマーミルを介して供給されることによって前記個別の小片に粉砕されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項17~22のいずれかに記載の方法であって、
前記高密度化された植物材料残渣の前記小片は、耐火特性を有し、高密度化される前の植物材料残渣よりも高い耐発火性を有することを特徴とする方法。
