Abstract
Description
現在、通常の癌の治療手順では、日常検査(X線、CT)で見出された疑いのある組織の身体試料(生検試料)の採取を必要とする。生検試料を顕微鏡評価のために検査室に送付して、検査室の病理医が病気の診断となる試料の病理結果を明言する。

Claims (7)
- a)患者の肺組織に接近できる気管支鏡作動経路を経て用いるように構成されるカテーテル組立品を共に形成する近位取手部および遠位端部を含む細長カテーテル本体を有するカテーテル、
b)前記遠位端部内に配置される少なくとも2つの電磁感知コイル、
c)超音波エネルギーを送受信するための、前記遠位端部内に配置されかつ前記カテーテル先端部に前記カテーテル本体の軸に平行に配置される多重素子の平面超音波変換素子列、
d)前記カテーテル本体から直交して延びる第1の標的平面内に組織の画像を形成するための、前記超音波変換素子に結合される画像化システム、および
e)第1の標的範囲から選択される第2の縮小標的範囲に位置する組織の音響スペクトル特性を受信しかつ評価する後方散乱評価システム、を含む医療機器システム。 - 前記多重素子の平面超音波変換素子列を含む遠位端の領域は音響レンズを含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記超音波変換素子と同心にある、前記遠位端の近位に配置された試料採取システムをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記試料採取システムは針であり、前記針は、前記カテーテル本体内から開口部を経て展開される、請求項2に記載の医療機器。
- 医療機器システムを用いて患者内の所定の領域を画像化する方法であって、
a)前記医療機器システムを提供する工程、
ここで前記医療機器システムは、
i)近位取手部および遠位端部を含む細長カテーテル本体を有するカテーテル組立品、
ii)前記遠位端部内に配置される少なくとも2つの電磁感知コイル、
iii)患者の肺組織に接近できる、気管支鏡作動経路を経て用いられるように構成された前記カテーテル組立品、
iv)超音波エネルギーを送受信するために前記遠位端部内に配置され、かつ前記カテーテル先端部に前記カテーテル本体の軸に平行に配置される多重素子の平面超音波変換素子列、
v)前記カテーテル本体から直交して延びる第1の標的平面内に組織の画像を形成するための、前記平面超音波変換素子列に結合される画像化システム、および
vi)第1の標的範囲から選択される第2の縮小標的範囲に位置する組織の音響スペクトル特性を受信しかつ評価する後方散乱評価システムを含み、
b)前記カテーテル本体の遠位端部を第1の位置に誘導する工程、
c)前記第1の標的平面および前記第2の縮小標的範囲で組織を観察する工程、
d)前記第2の縮小標的範囲内の前記組織の音響スペクトルを評価する工程、
e)前記第2の縮小標的範囲内の位置に試料採取器具を展開する工程、および
f)全て同一の時間に同一の位置で取得される超音波画像データ、音響スペクトル特性データ、および位置データを医師に提供して、医学的判断を通知する工程、を含む方法。 - 患者の肺組織内の目的とする領域を診断する方法であって、
a)気管支鏡作動経路を経てカテーテルを通過させて前記肺組織に接近する工程、
ここで前記カテーテルは、
i)軸および遠位端部を含む細長カテーテル本体、
ii)前記遠位端部内に配置される少なくとも2つの電磁感知コイル、および
iii)前記遠位端部内に配置され、かつ前記カテーテル本体の軸に平行に配置される多重素子の平面超音波変換素子列を含み、
b)前記2つの電磁感知コイルと相互作用するナビゲーションシステムを用いて、カテーテルの前記遠位端を前記目的とする領域に近位の第1の位置に誘導する工程、
c)前記目的とする領域に第1の超音波エネルギーを送信する工程、
d)画像化システムで変換素子列からの第1の超音波エネルギーを受信する工程、
e)画像化システムに、気道および血管を含む一式の組織から選択される解剖組織を示す、前記目的とする領域の画像を形成する工程、
f)前記解剖組織を含まない、前記目的とする領域の前記画像内の標的範囲を識別する工程、
g)前記ナビゲーションシステムを用いて、カテーテルの前記遠位端を前記標的範囲に近位の第2の位置に移動させる工程、
h)前記変換素子列から前記標的範囲内に第2の超音波エネルギーを送信する工程、
i)後方散乱評価システムで前記変換素子列からの第2の超音波エネルギーを受信する工程、および
j)前記後方散乱評価システムで、前記受信した第2の超音波エネルギーの音響スペクトルを評価して、前記目的とする領域の前記標的範囲の診断情報を抽出する工程、を含む方法。 - k)試料採取器具を前記第2の標的範囲内の位置に展開する工程をさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
