4)静電界におけるフィルタ媒体としての摩擦帯電材料の使用。
図1は、Vバンク構造100に配設された複数の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナパネル(フィルタ)101を示す。個々のフィルタパネル101は、本明細書において、「パネル」、「フィルタ」、および/または「エアクリーナ」と称されてもよい。複数の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ101は、複数の積層可能なモジュール102に編成され、各モジュールは、用途に応じて変更可能な幅W、高さH、および奥行きDを有する。特に、図1のVバンク100は8つの積層可能なモジュール102を含み、各モジュール102は8つの個別の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナを含み、合計64のエアクリーナを含む。Vバンク構造100に示されているが、エアクリーナは、気流に対して個別に垂直に、もしくは他の角度で、または他のグループおよび/もしくは配置で挿入可能であることを理解されたい。
図9および図10は、フィルタ材料の層化の詳細図を用いて、図4の枠を通る様々な断面を示している。
−ビニール、
−ポリエステル、
−ガラス、
−ウール、
−アラミド、および摩擦帯電スケールの反対側の材料、
−さらにポリプロピレンを含む上述の物質、
−米国特許6,328,788号明細書に記載された、および/またはTEXELとして販売される上述の物質、
−スクリムを有する、または有さない上述の物質、
−層状媒体の一部として上述の物質のいずれかであって、他の層は上述の物質のいずれかであってもよい、
−他の摩擦帯電フィルタ材料または非摩擦帯電フィルタ材料、
−上述の物質のいずれかに加えてアークブロック層、
−任意の物質のいずれかとPCO、
ならびにこれらの組み合わせ。
表1は、ASHRAE規格52.2試験で結果を比較した、様々な第三者の試験を示す。52.2試験は、0.3〜10.0ミクロンまでの12種類のサイズ範囲で上流および下流の効率を測定する。試験の過程において、複数の効率が測定された。なぜなら、装置は、典型的な大気粉塵とは異なり、高度に導電性のカーボンブラックを高い割合で含む試験粉塵が入れられるからである。達成された最小効率は、3つの群、E1(0.3〜1.0ミクロン)、E2(1.0〜3.0ミクロン)、およびE3(3.0〜10.0ミクロン)に分けられる。群内の各サイズの個々の結果は、共に平均化された。効率評価は、各カテゴリで達成された平均数に基づき、装置の最低捕集効率(MERV)定格をもたらす。高効率のエアフィルタおよびクリーナの場合、E1の効率が重要である。能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナの場合、導電性の粉塵は電圧を中央スクリーンから接地スクリーンに移動させ、システムが短絡して静電界が非通電になるので、粒子および媒体繊維に影響を及ぼす。フィルタ評価は、E1効率の10%以下の変動に基づいていることに注意することが重要である。したがって、サブミクロン粒子除去のわずかな改善は、重要であり、特定の市場での製品の適合性および用途に大きな影響を与える。たとえば、病院での大部分の空気清浄は、E1が75%〜85%の間であり、最少のMERV14を満たす必要がある。
Claims (20)
- 第1導電性外部スクリーンと、
前記第1導電性外部スクリーンに実質的に平行な第2導電性スクリーンと、
前記第1導電性外部スクリーンと前記第2導電性スクリーンとの間に配設されたスクリムレスフィルタ媒体と、
第1端子および第2端子を有する高電圧電源であって、前記第1端子が前記第1導電性外部スクリーンに接続されており、前記第2端子が前記第2導電性スクリーンに結合されている高電圧電源と、を備えることを特徴とする能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。 - 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、摩擦帯電材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記摩擦帯電材料は、アラミドであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、ポリメタフェニレンイソフタルアミド繊維を有するポリプロピレン繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、ポリメタフェニレンイソフタルアミド繊維のポリプロピレン繊維に対する重量比が5:95〜50:50である材料の層を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、ポリメタフェニレンイソフタルアミド繊維のポリプロピレン繊維に対する重量比が10:90〜30:70である材料の層を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、間に、1または複数のスクリムレス媒体層を有する2つの支持層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記支持層の一方が上部層であり、前記支持層の他方が下部層であり、前記上部層は、気流の方向に対面していることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレス媒体層は、モダクリル繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレス媒体層は、ポリプロピレン混合繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記上部支持層は、不織布材料であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記不織布材料は、ポリエステル、ガラス、およびウールからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記下部支持層は、不織布材料、プラスチックネット、ビニール、および非導電性スクリーンからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、UV光にさらされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記スクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、複数の層を含み、前記複数の層の少なくとも1つが光触媒によって処理されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 第2導電性スクリーンから上流の第2導電性外部スクリーンと、
前記第2導電性外部スクリーンおよび前記第2導電性スクリーンの間の摩擦帯電スケールの両側からの材料を有する追加の摩擦帯電フィルタ層とをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。 - 第1導電性外部スクリーン、第2導電性スクリーン、第2導電性外部スクリーン、およびスクリムレスフィルタ媒体は、全てモジュール内に含まれることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記モジュールは、スクリムレスフィルタ媒体にアクセスするためのヒンジを有することを特徴とする請求項17に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 前記モジュールは、自己完結型カートリッジであることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
- 第1導電性外部スクリーンと、
前記第1導電性外部スクリーンに実質的に平行な第2導電性スクリーンと、
前記第1導電性外部スクリーンおよび前記第2導電性スクリーンの間に配設されたアラミド摩擦帯電フィルタ媒体と、
第1端子および第2端子を有する高電圧電源であって、前記第1端子が前記第2導電性スクリーンに接続され、前記第2端子が前記第1導電性外部スクリーンに結合されている高電圧電源とを備えることを特徴とする能動電界分極媒体型エアクリーナ。
