Claims (22)
- 閉鎖遠端、開放近端及び該開放近端から延びると共に前記閉鎖遠端に向かって遠端側平坦上部外壁へと先細る近端側湾曲上部外壁を含む筒状本体を有する先端部材と、
前記先端部材の前記開放近端に結合される遠端部を有する可撓性長尺部材と、
前記先端部材内に取り付けられる撮像要素と、
を有する、撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記閉鎖遠端が丸形の外形を有する、請求項1に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記先端部材がポリエーテルブロックアミドを含む材料から形成される、請求項1に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記筒状本体は前記開放近端から前記閉鎖遠端に向かって延びる内部空洞を含み、該内部空洞が前記近端側湾曲上部外壁の反対側の近端側湾曲上部内壁及び前記遠端側平坦上部外壁の反対側の遠端側平坦上部内壁を含む、請求項1に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記撮像要素が、超音波トランスジューサアレイを含む平面状要素を有する、請求項4に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記遠端側平坦上部外壁が前記超音波トランスジューサアレイのための撮像窓を少なくとも部分的に形成する、請求項5に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記超音波トランスジューサアレイが超音波ビームを前記遠端側平坦上部内壁及び前記遠端側平坦上部外壁に向かって、且つ、これらを介して放出するように、前記撮像要素が前記内部空洞内に配置される、請求項5に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記撮像要素が前記遠端側平坦上部内壁に対して略平行に配置され、前記遠端側平坦上部内壁と前記遠端側平坦上部外壁との間の壁厚が200ミクロン未満である、請求項5に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記撮像要素が前記内部空洞内にポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)、ポリウレタン及び紫外(UV)接着剤のうちの少なくとも1つを含む材料により封入される、請求項5に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記内部空洞が、
該内部空洞の第1内部側壁に沿って延びる第1案内部と、
該内部空洞の第2内部側壁に沿って延びる第2案内部と、
を更に含み、
前記第1内部側壁は前記第2内部側壁の半径方向反対側にあり、
前記撮像要素が前記先端部材内に前記第1案内部及び前記第2案内部により案内されて配置される、請求項5に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記内部空洞は第1向き決め内壁面を含み、前記可撓性長尺部材の前記遠端部は接続部材を更に有し、該接続部材が前記第1向き決め内壁面と相互係合する第2向き決め面を含む、請求項5に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記接続部材に結合されると共に前記可撓性長尺部材に沿って延びる複数のステアリング線を更に有し、
前記複数のステアリング線の各々の平行移動が、前記可撓性長尺部材の長軸に対して、関連付けられた所定の方向に前記先端部材を偏向させるように、前記複数のステアリング線が前記第2向き決め面に対して向けられる、請求項11に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 閉鎖遠端及び開放近端を含む筒状本体を有する先端部材であって、前記筒状本体は前記閉鎖遠端と前記開放近端との間に実質的に均一な直径を有すると共に、可変の断面の内部管路を画定し、該内部管路は撮像要素を収容するための第1断面を備えた遠端側区域及び可撓性長尺部材の遠端部を収容するための第2断面を備えた近端側区域を有し、前記第2断面が前記第1断面とは相違する先端部材と、
少なくとも遠端部が前記先端部材の前記内部管路の前記近端側区域内に収容されるようにして前記先端部材の前記開放近端に結合される可撓性長尺部材と、
前記先端部材の前記内部管路の前記遠端側区域内に取り付けられる撮像要素と、
を有する、撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記先端部材がポリエーテルブロックアミドを含む材料から形成される、請求項13に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記閉鎖遠端が丸形の外形を有する、請求項13に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記内部管路の前記近端側区域が湾曲上部内壁を含み、前記内部管路の前記遠端側区域が平坦上部内壁を含む、請求項13に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記撮像要素が超音波トランスジューサアレイを含む平面状要素であり、前記内部管路の前記遠端側区域内に、前記超音波トランスジューサアレイが超音波ビームを前記平坦上部内壁に向かって、且つ、該平坦上部内壁を介して放出するように、前記撮像要素が配置される、請求項16に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記撮像要素は前記内部管路の前記遠端側区域内に材料により封入され、該材料がポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)、ポリウレタン及び紫外(UV)接着剤のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項13に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記内部管路の前記遠端側区域が、
第1内部側壁に沿って延びる第1案内部と、
前記第1内部側壁とは反対側の第2内部側壁に沿って延びる第2案内部と、
を更に含み、
前記撮像要素が前記第1案内部と前記第2案内部との間に配置される、請求項13に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記可撓性長尺部材の前記遠端部が、前記先端部材の前記内部管路の前記近端側区域と予め定められた向きで組み合うための向き決め構造を含む、請求項13に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記可撓性長尺部材の前記遠端部は接続部材と該接続部材に結合される複数のステアリング線とを含み、該複数のステアリング線が前記可撓性長尺部材に沿って該可撓性長尺部材の近端部まで延びる、請求項20に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記複数のステアリング線の各々の平行移動が、前記可撓性長尺部材の長軸に対して、関連付けられた所定の方向に前記先端部材を偏向させるように、前記複数のステアリング線が前記向き決め構造に対して向けられる、請求項21に記載の撮像カテーテルアセンブリ。
