Abstract
Description
本発明は、2014年12月23日に出願された「溶媒組成物、並びにアスファルトおよび他の汚染物質を除去するためのプロセス」と題する米国特許出願第14/580,698号の一部継続出願であり、その出願は、2014年3月22日に出願された「溶媒組成物、並びにアスファルトおよび他の汚染物質を除去するためのプロセス」と題する米国仮特許出願第61/969,125号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、これらの全体的開示内容は、それら全体を参照として本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、産業施設の浄化の分野に関し、さらに詳細には産業設備からアスファルトおよび他の汚染物質を分解し、それに続いて除去することに関する。
原油または天然ガスの精製プロセス中に、アスファルト、重質アスファルテン物質、水素欠乏炭素質物質、コークス、タールなどの汚染物質が副産物として生成される可能性がある。これらの汚染物質は、船舶、タンク、またはその他の種類の産業設備を汚染する可能性がある。産業設備の汚染は、停止時間の増加や処理結果の悪化などの問題を引き起こす可能性がある。

第1の溶媒組成物は、非プロトン性溶媒であるジメチルスルホキシドを大豆メチル、ジプロピレングリコールおよびイソステアリルエチルイミダゾリニウムエトサルフェートと混合することによって調製された。第2の溶媒組成物は、N-メチルピロリドン、大豆メチル、ジプロピレングリコールおよびイソステアリルエチルイミダゾリニウムエトサルフェートを混合することによって調製された。両方の組成物は、同じ比率を含む。

以下の実施例は、アスファルト試料の様々な供給源に対する溶媒組成物の有効性を説明するためのものである。第1の試料はアスファルトフラックスとして原油蒸留装置(CDU)から収集され、第2の試料はプロパン脱歴装置(PDA)から収集された。第1の試料は、ペースト状の粘度を有することが観察された。第2番目の試料は硬化されており、計量と試験用に分離するための鋭利な道具が必要であった。2つの溶媒、United Laboratories International,LLCから市販されている溶媒系であるRezyd-X(登録商標)、ならびにMESO、NMP、ジプロピレングリコールおよびISESを含む本出願の溶媒が実験中に使用された。
以下の実施例は、硬化された減圧塔塔底物(VTB)の溶解に対する3つの溶媒の有効性を例示する。試験された溶媒は、両方がUnited Laboratories International,LLCから市販されている、Rezyd-X(登録商標)およびHOB(登録商標)、ならびにMESO、NMP、ジプロピレングリコールおよびISESを含む本出願の溶媒であった。各溶媒は、2容量%のライトサイクルオイル(LCO)の中で溶解された。VTBの試料が3つのバイアルに加えられ、測定された量の希釈溶媒がそれぞれに加えられた。試料は、120°F(48.9℃)に設定された水浴に配置された。混合を促進するために、各試料は断続的に撹拌された。実験結果が、表8に示される。
Claims (20)
- 産業設備から汚染物質を除去するための方法であって、
(A)大豆メチル、非プロトン性溶媒、追加の溶媒およびカチオン性界面活性剤を含む溶媒組成物を提供するステップと、
(B)汚染物質を前記溶媒組成物と接触させるステップと、
(C)汚染物質の少なくとも一部がもはや産業設備に付着しないように、前記溶媒組成物を汚染物質に作用させるステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記非プロトン性溶媒がジメチルスルホキシドを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒組成物が前記産業設備と接触するステップをさらに含み、
加えて、汚染物質の少なくとも一部が溶媒組成物内に溶解するように、前記溶媒組成物が汚染物質の少なくとも一部を溶解するステップを含み、
さらに、前記溶解した汚染物質を含む前記溶媒組成物を、前記産業設備とさらに接触しないように取り除くステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記溶媒組成物が、約20.0重量%~約40.0重量%の大豆メチルを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約20.0重量%~約50.0重量%の非プロトン性溶媒を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約20.0重量%~約40.0重量%の追加の溶媒を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約4.0重量%~約12.0重量%のカチオン性界面活性剤を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、分散剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記追加の溶媒が、ジプロピレングリコールを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記カチオン性界面活性剤が第四級アンモニウム塩を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記カチオン性界面活性剤が、イソステアリルエチルイミダゾリニウムエトサルフェート(isostearyl ethylimidazolinium ethosulfate)を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 大豆メチルと、
非プロトン性溶媒と、
追加の溶媒と、
カチオン性界面活性剤と、
を含む溶媒組成物。 - 前記非プロトン性溶媒が、ジメチルスルホキシドを含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約20.0重量%~約40.0重量%の大豆メチルを含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約20.0重量%~約50.0重量%の非プロトン性溶媒を含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約20.0重量%~約40.0重量%の追加の溶媒を含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、約4.0重量%~約12.0重量%のカチオン性界面活性剤を含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
- 前記溶媒組成物が、分散剤をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
- 前記追加の溶媒が、ジプロピレングリコールを含む、請求項12に記載の溶媒組成物。
