一般に、人力用のブレーカ2を直接作業員が使用する場合は、ハンドル23に備えられたグリップ式スイッチ24を握ることでノミ22が稼働(ON)する仕組みであるが、本実施形態では、人力用のブレーカ2をバックホウ1に搭載するため、グリップ式スイッチ24を人力用のブレーカ2の動力スイッチとせず、グリップ式スイッチ24は常にON状態に固定し、ホース24に不図示の電磁弁を設けて、バックホウ本体11の運転席での操作を可能にした。具体的には、足元に不図示のスイッチペダルを設け、踏んでON、離してOFFの操作を行う形式としたが、操作者の手元でレバーやボタン等を操作することでスイッチとする形態や別の作業員が不図示のコンプレッサや油圧ユニットを操作者の合図のもとに操作しても良く、本実施形態に限定されない。

また、本実施形態のブレーカ装着治具によれば、固定部32は支承部材321と外嵌部材322との間に介設された弾性部材323を具備しているため、人力用のブレーカ2のノミ先を斫り対象物に押え付ける際等に発生する打撃等の衝撃力に対して弾性部材323が緩衝材となり、ブレーカ装着治具3やバックホウ1のアーム13、ブーム12への負荷を緩和できる。すなわち、人力用のブレーカ2を打撃方向のみに動かすことで、打撃力を打撃対象物の1点に集中させることができる一方、人力用のブレーカ2を人力で操作する場合と同様に、ノミ22の先が打撃直角方向に多少動くことが可能であり、強度が均一でない打撃対象物ではノミ22の先が強度の低い位置に移動してはつり効果の向上を可能にする。したがって、人力用のブレーカ2の打撃直角方向への動きを可能にし、人力によるブレーカ操作に近い打撃性能を再現できる。なお、バックホウ1の斫り対象への過度な押し込み力等に対しても、介設された弾性部材323の前後方向への弾性変形によって、その押し込み力を適度に吸収できる。
また、固定部32は支承部材321と外嵌部材322を繋ぐ第一連結部材324をさらに備えているため、ブレーカのノミ先を斫り対象物に押え付ける際に発生する打撃等の衝撃力に対して弾性部材323と第一連結部材324が共同してより安定した緩衝効果が期待できる。
また、固定部32が人力用のブレーカ2の前後2か所以上の複数に設けられているため、人力用のブレーカ2の斫り作業により発生する打撃による衝撃力を緩和しながらブレーカ装着治具3における人力用のブレーカ2の位置の変動を効果的に拘束し、ノミ22先の振れの少ない安定的な斫り作業を実現できる。
マウント部31に固定された支承部材321と人力用のブレーカ2を把持する外嵌部材322とを繋ぐ第一連結部材324が棒状であり、弾性部材323に貫通されているため、人力用のブレーカ2のノミ22先に伝わる衝撃力を、外嵌部材322を作用点,支承部材321を支点とする2点間の挙動として即時に緩衝材としての弾性部材323に伝達することができ、効果的に衝撃力の吸収を可能にする。また、棒状の第一連結部材324により連結されることで介在する弾性部材323の過度な変形を拘束する効果も期待できる。
外嵌部材322は弾性体からなる上下に分割された分割体と、該分割体を貫通して該分割体の上下端面から該分割体を圧嵌するように配設された複数の第二連結部材325,325・・・とで構成されているため、鋼製のブレーカを確実に密着してホールドできるため、打撃による衝撃にも耐えることができる。また、弾性部材323や第一連結部材324に加え、外嵌部材322も弾性体であるため、人力用のブレーカ2のノミ22先に伝わる衝撃力をさらに効率的に吸収することができる。
