- アクチュエータが、テープスプリングを展開構成から収縮構成に収縮させるように構成されている、請求項3に記載の係合装置。
- アクチュエータが、延伸されたテープスプリングに力を印加するように構成されている、請求項5に記載の係合装置。
- アクチュエータが、テープスプリングを展開構成から収縮構成に移行させるようにテープスプリングを変形させるように構成されている、請求項5に記載の係合装置。
- 複数のテープスプリングをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の係合装置。
- 複数のテープスプリングによって画定された表面をさらに備える、請求項8に記載の係合装置。
- 請求項9に記載の係合装置を備え、軌道離脱エンジンをさらに備えるシステム。

標的物体に近接する係合装置をナビゲートするステップと、

収縮構成に崩壊させて、テープスプリングの収縮構成内で係合装置を標的物体に結合するように、テープスプリングを作動させるステップと
を備える方法。 - 格納構成が、ロール状態のテープスプリングを有し、展開構成は、延伸状態のテープスプリングを有する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 係合装置が、複数のテープスプリングを備え、テープスプリングを作動させるステップは、複数のテープスプリングを作動させるステップを備える、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 係合装置が、複数のテープスプリングの間の表面を備え、係合装置を標的物体に結合するステップが、標的物体を表面内に囲い込むステップを備える、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 複数のテープスプリングを作動させるステップが、第1セットの作動が各テープスプリングの長さに沿った第1の箇所で複数のテープスプリングの各々の屈曲をトリガし、第2セットの作動が各テープスプリングの長さに沿った第2の箇所で複数のテープスプリングの各々の屈曲をトリガする、連続的な複数の作動実行を備え、第2セットの作動が第1セットの作動の後にトリガされ、第2の箇所が係合装置の外周に向かい、第1の箇所が係合装置の内部に向かう、請求項13に記載の方法。
