本開示に係るバインダー系において使用するために、ボールクレー鉱床に関係した天然褐炭鉱床から褐炭のサンプルを得た。結果を、以下の表1に記録する。
本開示に係るバインダー系において使用するために、天然褐炭鉱床から褐炭のサンプルを得た。実施例1の天然褐炭サンプルのフミン酸含有量を、CDFA法及びLamarらの方法に従って、試験した。結果を、以下の表2に示す。
実施例1の褐炭/鉱物サンプル20重量%、水20重量%、プロピレンカーボネート20重量%、及びエチレングリコール40重量%を含む成分からバインダー系を調製した。次いで、(アメリカ鋳造協会の基準法、AFS 1106−00−sに定義される)粒子の粉末度数が55のシリカ砂3キロを、均一に上記成分で被覆し、メチレンジフェニルジイソシアネート/溶媒混合物及び3級アミン触媒と混合した。この混合物はパドル型ミキサーを使用して作製する。混合物は、上述の成分を0.3%(wt%)、イソシアネート/溶媒混合物を1.2%(wt%)、及び3級アミン触媒を0.225%(wt%)含有する。
Claims (30)
- 褐炭と、少なくとも1種のケイ酸塩鉱物と、少なくとも1種のポリオールとを含む第1の成分であって、前記少なくとも1種のケイ酸塩鉱物が、前記第1の成分の全重量に対して、シリカを少なくとも5重量%含む、第1の成分と、
少なくとも1種のイソシアネートを含む第2の成分と、
少なくとも1種の触媒を含む第3の成分と、
を含むバインダー系。 - 前記系の全重量に対して、前記第1の成分を約5重量%〜約65重量%含む、請求項1に記載の系。
