Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to a connection structure.
The wire harness mounted on the vehicle includes an electric wire and a first connector provided at the end of the electric wire. The wire comprises a conductor and an insulating coating covering its perimeter. The first connector includes a first terminal connected to a conductor and a cylindrical first housing for accommodating the first terminal inside. The first connector may be a female connector having a female terminal or a male connector having a male terminal. When the first connector of the wire harness is a female connector, the second connector connected to the first connector is a male connector. When the first connector of the wire harness is a male connector, the second connector connected to the first connector is a female connector.
As one form of the wire harness, for example,
The male terminal of the male connector and the female terminal of the female connector reciprocate in a minute range in the axial direction of both terminals due to vibration during traveling of the vehicle. At that time, the male terminal and the female terminal may be worn, and the conductivity between the male terminal and the female terminal may decrease. In particular, in a connection structure including a wire harness fitted with a flexible tube, the vibration of the flexible tube is transmitted to the first connector via the wire cover. As a result, the first connector and the second connector are relatively easy to move, and the male terminal and the female terminal are easily worn.
One of the objects of the present disclosure is to provide a connection structure capable of suppressing the relative movement between the first connector and the second connector.

[Explanation of Embodiments of the present disclosure]
First, embodiments of the present disclosure will be listed and described.
<1> The connection structure according to the embodiment is
A wire harness having a first connector and a second connector that engages with the first connector are provided.
The wire harness is
With electric wires
The first connector provided at the end of the electric wire is provided.
The first connector comprises a cylindrical first housing.
The second connector comprises a second housing that is engaged with the first housing.
Further, it includes a holder that regulates the relative movement of the first housing and the second housing in a direction intersecting the insertion direction of the first housing and the second housing.
In the connection structure of this example, the holder regulates the relative movement of the first housing and the second housing. Therefore, in the connection structure of this example, the relative sliding amount between the first terminal and the second terminal due to vibration becomes short. The relative sliding amount is the length at which the first terminal provided in the first connector of the wire harness and the second terminal provided in the second connector in the connection structure move relatively. When this relative sliding amount is shortened, the wear of the first terminal and the second terminal is suppressed, so that the decrease in conductivity between the two terminals due to the wear is suppressed.
<2> As one form of the connection structure according to the embodiment,
The first connector is a female connector.
The second connector may be a male connector.
In the vehicle, the second connector to which the first connector of the wire harness is connected is provided on a substrate fixed to the vehicle body or the like. On the other hand, since the wire harness is arranged in the vehicle, it is easy to move greatly with the vibration of the vehicle. Since the female terminal having a hollow structure is less likely to bend than the male terminal, a female connector is preferable as the first connector of the wire harness that is easy to move.
<3> As one form of the connection structure according to the embodiment,
The holder may be a tubular member provided at a position where the first housing and the second housing overlap each other.
The cylindrical holder can be easily attached to the first housing from the end of the first housing. In this case, the second housing is connected to the first housing to which the holder is mounted.
<4> As one form of the connection structure according to <3> above,
One of the first housing and the second housing is a female housing, and the other is a male housing.
The holder is attached to the outer periphery of the end portion of the female housing.
The holder may include a plurality of claw members that press the outer peripheral surface of the male housing.
By attaching a cylindrical holder to the end of the female housing, the female housing and the holder are fixed. Further, a plurality of claw members provided on the holder press the outer peripheral surface of the male housing, so that the movement of the male housing with respect to the holder is restricted. Therefore, the holder fixed to the end of the female housing effectively suppresses the movement of the female housing and the male housing in the direction intersecting the insertion direction.
<5> As one form of the connection structure according to <4> above,
The plurality of claw members may be arranged at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction of the holder.
A plurality of claw members arranged at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction of the holder hold the outer peripheral surface of the male housing from the entire circumference. Therefore, the holder fixed to the end of the female housing more effectively suppresses the movement of the female housing and the male housing in the direction intersecting the insertion direction.
<6> As one form of the connection structure according to the embodiment,
The wire harness comprises a flexible tube covering at least a portion of the outer circumference of the wire.
The first connector may include a tubular electric wire cover connecting the first housing and the flexible tube.
The flexible tube protects the outer circumference of the electric wire and suppresses damage to the electric wire. By fixing the flexible tube to the first housing, the electric wire cover suppresses the flexible tube from shifting from a desired position and the generation of noise due to the movement of the flexible tube.
In the connection structure including the wire harness equipped with the flexible tube, the vibration of the flexible tube is easily transmitted to the first connector via the wire cover. In the configuration of the above embodiment <6>, even if the vibration of the flexible tube is transmitted to the first connector, the relative movement of the first housing and the second housing is restricted by the holder. Therefore, even in the configuration of the form <6> including the flexible tube and the electric wire cover, the wear of the male terminal and the female terminal is effectively suppressed.

≪Overall composition≫
The

≪Wire harness≫
The
[Electrical wire]
The number of
The
At the end of the
[First connector]
The
The
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the
The
The
The
The axial length of the
[Flexible Tube]
The
The
[Electric wire cover]
The
The
The
The
The first divided
The
The
The absolute value of the amount of backlash in the X direction between the
The amount of play in the X direction may be defined by the ratio of the length L1 to the outer dimensions of the
Unlike this example, the

The inner peripheral engaging
By engaging the inner peripheral engaging

The second housing 60 also has a known configuration. The second housing 60 is configured to be insertable into the inside of the
The axial length of the second connector 6, that is, the axial length of the second housing 60 is about 10 mm or more and 30 mm or less. Further, the maximum outer dimension of the second connector 6, that is, the maximum outer dimension of the second housing 60 is about 10 mm or more and 30 mm or less.
≪Holder≫
The
The
A retaining portion 73 (FIG. 3) is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the
The cross-sectional shape of the retaining
The
The plurality of
A
As shown in FIG. 3, the surface of the

≪Test conditions≫
The test conditions are as follows.
・ Atmospheric temperature: 120 ° C to 130 ° C
・ Vibration acceleration: 10G, 20G, or 30G
・ Vibration frequency: 40Hz to 300Hz
