Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pest control composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to a spray composition in an agricultural or horticultural crop containing a highly safe polyglycerin fatty acid ester as an effective main component and a nonionic surfactant as an additive.
Control of pests and diseases is essential for a stable supply of agricultural and horticultural crops. Currently, chemically synthesized pesticides are widely used to control these pests because of their excellent economic efficiency and control effect. However, if chemically synthesized pesticides are continuously used, the target pests may develop drug resistance. In recent years, consumers have become more aware of pesticides, and there is a demand for pesticides that are highly safe for the human body and the environment. Although the effectiveness of pest control by physical control using biological pesticides such as natural enemies and films has been confirmed, the cost effectiveness is not satisfied at present.
Under such circumstances, unlike chemically synthesized pesticides, pest control compositions by physical action have been reported. For example, Patent Document 1 describes a pest control composition using a water-soluble polymer, Patent Document 2 describes a medium-chain fatty acid triglyceride having 8 to 10 carbon atoms, and Patent Document 3 describes a sorbitan fatty acid ester. There is. However, these described compositions need to have a high concentration of active ingredient in order to exert a sufficient effect, and adverse effects on crops caused by the concentration (hereinafter referred to as "phytotoxicity" in the present specification). The applicable crops are limited due to concerns.
In recent years, improved compositions have been reported for these problems. Patent Document 4 discloses a pest control composition having an HLB of 5 or less and containing a polyglycerin fatty acid ester and a nonionic surfactant which are liquid at room temperature, and 1000 for spider mites and aphids. It is described that a high control effect is exhibited even in a highly diluted solution of fold. Further, in Patent Document 5, a control agent for plant pests and / or plant diseases containing a polyglycerin fatty acid ester as an active ingredient, wherein the polyglycerin fatty acid ester is selected from fatty acids having 8 to 10 carbon atoms. The above-mentioned control agent is disclosed, which comprises an ester of at least one fatty acid and at least one polyglycerin obtained by polymerizing 3 to 10 glycerins. It is described that the above-mentioned compositions are uniformly and highly effective in controlling a wide range of pests such as fatty acids, gray mold disease, and urticaria by diluting them with water 500 times. As described above, it has been shown that the use of various polyglycerin fatty acid esters enables control of pests at a relatively low concentration of spray liquid, and the risk of phytotoxicity can be suppressed to a low level. However, even with these chemicals, the risk of phytotoxicity on some crops such as flowers has not been eliminated.
The present invention has been made in view of the problems in the prior art, and is to provide a pest control agent capable of achieving control of agricultural and horticultural pests at a low concentration by using a component whose safety for humans is guaranteed. .. Furthermore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a pest control agent that minimizes the risk of phytotoxicity that impairs the appearance even when used for crops such as fruit trees and flowers whose appearance is important. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a pest control agent having sufficient control effect by spraying at a low concentration against spider mites, which are important agricultural pests.
As a result of diligent research to solve the above problems, the present inventors have focused on polyglycerin fatty acid esters, which are known to be safe for the human body and the environment as food additives, and have used fatty acid ester-based nonionic surfactants. By combining, the polyglycerin fatty acid ester, which is an active ingredient, can be improved in the adhesion selectivity to the target harmful organisms, and the risk of chemical damage to plants can be suppressed, while a high control effect against harmful organisms can be obtained at a low concentration. This led to the completion of the present invention.

HLB(Hydrophile−LipophileBalance)とは、界面活性剤の親水性と親油性の程度を表し、0から20までの数値で表現される指標である。
HLB値=20(1−S/A)
HLB (Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance) is an index expressing the degree of hydrophilicity and lipophilicity of a surfactant, and is expressed by a numerical value from 0 to 20. A low HLB indicates a highly lipophilic surfactant, and a high HLB indicates a highly hydrophilic surfactant. Therefore, a surfactant having a low HLB is easily adapted to a hydrophobic system, and a surfactant having a high HLB is easily adapted to a hydrophilic system. In other words, it can be said that it is an index showing which system the surfactant is more likely to dissolve in with respect to the water / oil system. For the HLB value of the polyglycerin fatty acid ester, a numerical value derived by the following calculation method, which is an empirical formula of Griffin, is applied. For the saponification value and acid value below, the values analyzed according to the general test method of the standards for food additives and quasi-drug raw materials are used.
HLB value = 20 (1-S / A)
S: Saponification value of the ester of the surfactant, A: Acid value of the fatty acid constituting the surfactant

The pest control composition of the present invention contains (a) a polyglycerin fatty acid ester and (b) a nonionic surfactant in an arbitrary ratio. However, (b) if there is too much nonionic surfactant, there is a risk that the pest control effect will decrease and the risk of phytotoxicity to plants will increase. Therefore, it is preferable that the content of (b) the nonionic surfactant is smaller than that of (a) the polyglycerin fatty acid ester. In addition, if the proportion of the active ingredient (a) polyglycerin fatty acid ester is too large, the emulsifying property when diluted with water is poor, the spray liquid becomes uneven, and the pest control effect may become unstable. There is. Therefore, the content ratio is more preferably (a) polyglycerin fatty acid ester: (b) nonionic surfactant = 1: 0.01 to 1: 0.9, and even more preferably (a) polyglycerin fatty acid. Ester: (b) Nonionic surfactant = 1: 0.05 to 1: 0.5, particularly preferably (a) Polyglycerin fatty acid ester: (b) Nonionic surfactant = 1: 0.1. It is of ~ 1: 0.3.
Further, in the pest control composition of the present invention, (a) polyglycerin fatty acid ester is usually contained in an amount of 5 to 100% by mass. Further, (b) the nonionic surfactant is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 50% by mass. Preferably, (a) the polyglycerin fatty acid ester is contained in an amount of 20 to 95% by mass, and (b) the nonionic surfactant is contained in an amount of 1 to 30% by mass.

However, other surfactants may significantly change the physics of the present invention and may increase the risk of phytotoxicity to plants. Therefore, it is preferable that the anionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants are not contained in an amount equal to or greater than the total content of (a) polyglycerin fatty acid ester and (b) nonionic surfactant, and further contain a fatty acid ester structure. It is more preferable that no nonionic surfactant is contained in an amount equal to or greater than the total content of the polyglycerin fatty acid ester and the nonionic surfactant. The content of the other surfactant is usually 0 to 30% by mass with respect to the total amount of the composition of the present invention.
Table 2 List of test results
As shown from the results of Test Examples 1 to 3, serious drug damage to green beans leaves and eggplant flowers was observed even though the pest control composition of the present invention had a high concentration of 100-fold dilution. However, it was found that even at a low concentration of 1000-fold dilution, it had a sufficiently high control effect against spider mites. On the other hand, the composition of the comparative example has a high control effect, but a phytotoxicity symptom is observed, a phytotoxicity symptom is not observed, but a phytotoxicity is low, or a phytotoxicity symptom is observed, and the phytotoxicity is also low. became. The details of this test result will be described below.
In Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5, compositions using various nonionic surfactants were tested, and the compositions of the present invention all exhibited a high control effect, and phytotoxicity symptoms were observed. Not. In particular, the nonionic surfactant is preferably polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester or polyglycerin fatty acid ester, or polyoxyethylene glycol castor oil. In Examples 7 to 9 and Comparative Examples 6 to 8, compositions using various polyglycerin fatty acid esters or other fatty acid esters were tested, and the compositions of the present invention all exhibited a high control effect while causing drug damage. It is unobserved or insignificant. From this result, it was confirmed that the polyglycerin fatty acid ester used in the present invention greatly affects the effect of the present invention, the constituent fatty acid is preferably oleic acid, and the polyglycerin fatty acid ester is decaglycerin decaolein. It is particularly preferable that it is an acid ester. Examples 10 and 11 are compositions in which the contents of the polyglycerin fatty acid ester and the nonionic surfactant are changed. All of them exert a high control effect, but the phytotoxicity symptoms are unobserved or slight. However, since the risk of phytotoxicity increases due to the increased content of the nonionic surfactant, the mass of the component contained in the composition of the nonionic surfactant is smaller than that of the polyglycerin fatty acid ester. Is preferable. In Examples 12 to 14, a surfactant or a solvent is added to the composition of the present invention. As described above, when the amount added to the composition of the present invention is small and does not significantly affect the physical performance, the quality of the preparation is improved and sufficient control is achieved by adjusting the appearance and viscosity, improving the emulsifying property, and the like. At the same time as the effect is obtained, the risk of phytotoxicity to plants can be kept low.
