Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to an inner lens and a vehicle lamp including the inner lens.
When the inner lens is shaped for a specific purpose such as mounting the inner lens, it may affect the optical characteristics of the inner lens (for example, the size of the light emitting surface). Speaking without any limitation, in the inner lens of Patent Document 1, a non-light emitting region in which light is not emitted forward is formed at the end of the mounting side of the exit surface of the prism portion (see FIG. 3 of Patent Document 1). In light of such unrestricted problems, the inventor of the present application has newly found a problem of increasing the degree of freedom in the shape of the inner lens in a manner of avoiding or suppressing the influence on the optical characteristics of the inner lens.
The inner lens according to one aspect of the present disclosure has a first light emitting surface extending along the first direction and a first light reflecting surface in which a plurality of first prism portions are arranged along the first direction. The inner lens is at least partially opposed to the second light emitting surface provided adjacent to the distal side of the first light emitting surface with respect to the propagating direction of the propagating light along the first direction. It further includes a second light reflecting surface that is arranged. The second light emitting surface is provided so as to be inclined with respect to the first light emitting surface so that a part of the propagating light propagating along the first direction is transmitted. The second light reflecting surface is provided with a plurality of second prism portions that rereflect at least a part of the propagated light reflected by the second light emitting surface toward the second light emitting surface.
In some embodiments, the second light reflecting surface is at least partially covered by a reflective film.
In some embodiments, the second light reflecting surface is provided adjacent to the distal side of the first light reflecting surface with respect to the propagating direction of the propagating light along the first direction.
In some embodiments, the inner lens further includes a second light emitting surface and a mounting end provided distal to the first light emitting surface from the second light reflecting surface. The mounting end may have a plurality of third prism portions that rereflect the light reflected by the second light emitting surface and / or the second light reflecting surface.

One of ordinary skill in the art can combine each embodiment and / or each feature without over-explanation, and the synergistic effect of this combination is also understandable. Overlapping description between embodiments will be omitted in principle. The reference drawings are primarily intended to describe the invention and have been simplified for convenience of drawing. Each feature is understood as a universal feature that is not only valid for the inner lenses disclosed herein, but is also applicable to various inner lenses not disclosed herein. The front-back, left-right, and up-down directions are used with reference to the vehicle equipped with the vehicle lighting equipment. Similarly, terms such as vehicle width direction (first direction), vehicle outer side, and vehicle inner side are also used with reference to a vehicle equipped with vehicle lighting equipment. Unless otherwise specified in the claims, terms indicating these directions should not be construed as limitations.
The vehicle lighting fixture 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a left tail lamp of an automobile (not shown), has a housing 9, an outer lens 8 fixed to the housing 9 and defining a lighting chamber together with the housing 9, and emitting light in the lighting chamber. It has a signal lamp 7 that illuminates the rear, and a
As shown in FIG. 2, the
光源5は、ハロゲンランプ、HID(High Intensity Discharge)ランプ、又は半導体発光装置(例えば、LD(Laser Diode)又はLED(Light Emitting Diode))であり得る。典型的には、光源5は、拡散光源のLED(Light Emitting Diode)光源である。
The light source 5 may be a halogen lamp, a HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamp, or a semiconductor light emitting device (for example, LD (Laser Diode) or LED (Light Emitting Diode)). Typically, the light source 5 is an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light source of a diffusion light source. An LED, which is a semiconductor element, emits light in response to energization, and light is emitted through a lens mounted on the light emitting surface of the LED. Various types of light sources can be adopted for each embodiment, and additional optical elements for collimating the synchrotron radiation of the light source or for controlling the field pattern thereof can also be used. In some cases, the light source 5 is fixed to the housing 9 outside the lamp chamber of the lamp 1, and in some other cases, it is fixed to the
The
The inner lens 4 is transparent to the emitted light (eg, visible light) of the light source 5 and is made of a suitable light transmissive material such as transparent resin or glass. As shown in FIG. 3, the inner lens 4 has a light incident end 4a, a main surface
The mounting
本実施形態では、後述の説明から分かるように、副面発光部4c(特には後述の第2光出射面44と第2光反射面48の組み合わせ)の採用によってこの問題が回避又は抑制される。
By providing the mounting
When the lamp 1 is a left tail lamp, the light incident end 4a is the left end portion of the inner lens 4, and the mounting
The inner lens 4 has a

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, each prism portion 47j reflects the propagating light in the inner lens toward the first
The second
The light that has entered the inner lens 4 through the
The second
The second
The
The mounting
A fourth
The
The
Again, the mounting
Finally, an operation in which the inner lens 4 emits light when the light source 5 is turned on will be described. The scattered light emitted from the light source 5 first enters the inner lens 4 through the
