Abstract
Description
平滑な基板上に、多糖類系高分子の溶液を一方向に塗布して下地層を形成する下地層形成工程と、
前記下地層上に、配向される配向材の溶液を塗布して配向材層を形成する配向材層形成工程と、を含む。

本実施の形態では、多糖類系高分子としてメチルセルロースを用いて下地層31を形成し、下地層31と下地層31上に形成された高分子の配向材層32とを備える配向膜30を作製する方法について説明する。
上記実施の形態1では、多糖類系高分子の溶液を含浸させた繊維布11を、基板13上で掃引することにより、下地層31を形成することとしたが、他の塗布方法を用いて下地層31を形成することもできる。本実施の形態では、バーコート法により、基板13上に多糖類系高分子の溶液を塗布する点で、実施の形態1と異なる。
Claims (7)
- 平滑な基板上に、多糖類系高分子の溶液を一方向に塗布して下地層を形成する下地層形成工程と、
前記下地層上に、配向される配向材の溶液を塗布して配向材層を形成する配向材層形成工程と、を含む、
ことを特徴とする配向膜作製方法。 - 前記配向材は、高分子材料である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の配向膜作製方法。 - 前記下地層形成工程では、
前記多糖類系高分子の溶液を繊維布に含浸させ、前記繊維布を用いて前記多糖類系高分子を塗布する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の配向膜作製方法。 - 前記繊維布は、
ベルベット生地である、
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の配向膜作製方法。 - 前記下地層形成工程では、
前記多糖類系高分子の溶液を前記基板上に滴下して、前記多糖類系高分子を塗布する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の配向膜作製方法。 - 前記下地層形成工程では、
滴下された前記多糖類系高分子の溶液を、バーコート法によって塗布する、
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の配向膜作製方法。 - 前記多糖類系高分子は、
メチルセルロースである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の配向膜作製方法。
