The present disclosure relates to an image recognition device and an image recognition method.
As an image recognition device, a technique for preventing erroneous recognition of a recognition target is known. For example, in
A sticker with a design similar to a road sign may be attached to the rear of the vehicle. In this case, since the sticker has image features similar to the road sign, it may be mistakenly recognized as a road sign. In addition, since the positions of road signs and stickers in the image are not uniquely determined, there is a possibility that erroneous recognition cannot be prevented by the conventional technology. Therefore, a technique capable of suppressing erroneous recognition of road signs has been desired.

The
The
The
The
The moving
The
The
The
The automatic
The driving
The braking
The
The image recognition process shown in FIG. 2 is a process in which the
Next, in step S110, the
Subsequently, in step S130, the
Subsequently, the
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
According to the
B. Second embodiment:
The second embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the
In the second embodiment, in step S130 (FIG. 2), the
As shown in FIG. 5, even when the area D5 where the
According to the
C. Other embodiments:
(C1) In the above-described embodiment, the
(C2) In the above-described embodiment, the
(C3) In the above-described embodiment, the moving
