られたとき(ISO12863:2010−LIPと呼ばれる)及び自由空気における燃焼時(ISO12863:2010−FASEと呼ばれる)の両方においてこれらの巻き煙草について測定された。結果は、下記の表2に示されている。包装紙Bは、極めて同様のTNCOレベルを維持する一方、巻き煙草Bの吸う回数を1.3だけ増加させたことが分かった。紙Bは、表面に位置付けられたときの高い自己消火率及び自由空気における燃焼時の著しく向上した性能も示した。
2つの84mm低延焼性巻き煙草が同じ煙草ブレンドで用意された。これらの巻き煙草は、両方ともチップペーパーにより27mmフィルタに取り付けられた57mm煙草ロッドを有していた。フィルタは、同じフィルタロッドから切り出され、チップペーパーは、同じリールから切り出された。巻き煙草Cの煙草ロッドは、実施例1(紙A)からの先行技術の包装紙で包まれる一方、巻き煙草Dは、実施例1(紙B)からの本発明による包装紙で包まれた。
巻き煙草Dが巻き煙草Cよりも良好な味を有することを示した。

Claims (15)
- 原紙を含む、喫煙具のための包装紙であって、前記原紙は、互いから離れて提供される複数の燃焼抑制領域を含み、前記燃焼抑制領域と前記原紙との間の拡散能力の比は、5%〜35%の範囲である、包装紙。
- 前記燃焼抑制領域の前記拡散能力は、0.10〜0.35cm/sである、請求項1に記載の包装紙。
- 前記原紙の前記拡散能力は、1.0〜2.0cm/sである、請求項1又は2に記載の包装紙。
- 前記燃焼抑制領域は、前記原紙の表面上に提供される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記燃焼抑制領域は、原紙マトリクスに埋め込まれて提供される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記燃焼抑制領域は、前記原紙の前記拡散能力を低下させる少なくとも1つの添加剤を含有し、前記添加剤は、アルギネート、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリ酢酸ビニル、加工及び未加工デンプン、セルロース誘導体、無機イオン、天然ゴム又はその混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記燃焼抑制領域は、ストライプの形態である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記原紙は、繊維材料、充填材及び1つ又は複数の燃焼添加剤を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記原紙の紙気孔率は、10〜60CUであり、及び燃焼添加剤の総量は、前記原紙の乾燥重量に基づいて0.1〜0.7重量%である、請求項8に記載の包装紙。
- 前記燃焼添加剤は、クエン酸塩、酢酸塩、リン酸塩、酒石酸塩、硝酸塩又はその混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項8又は9に記載の包装紙。
- 前記原紙の基本重量は、20〜26g/m2である、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 充填剤の量は、前記原紙の前記乾燥重量に基づいて17〜23重量%である、請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記充填材は、炭酸カルシウム、カオリン粘土、タルク、二酸化チタン、アルミナ三水和物並びに沈降シリカ及びシリケート(PSS)又はその混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項8〜12のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 前記繊維材料は、セルロース質繊維材料である、請求項8〜13のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の包装紙によって囲まれた喫煙可能材料の装入物を含む喫煙具。
