まず、図１〜図３を参照し、印刷装置１００の全体構成について説明する。印刷装置１００は、インク吐出装置１および版装置２を備えるので、ディジタル印刷（インクジェット方式の印刷）およびアナログ印刷（版を用いた印刷）の両方の実行が可能である。すなわち、印刷装置１００は、複合型の印刷システムであると言える。印刷装置１００は、インク吐出装置１および版装置２に加え、搬送装置３をさらに備える。また、印刷装置１００は、制御装置４、給布装置５、定着装置６ａ、洗浄装置６ｂをさらに備える。
