拡大した図5に示したように、本ロック装置8は、旋回軸80とロック片81と引っ掛けピン83を主要な構成要素とする。すなわち、右の収納部2の外端に位置するガイド固定パイプ7の上端から突き出る旋回軸80と、同旋回軸80に対しルーズ状態で旋回自在に取り付けられた水平なロック片81と、同ロック片81から垂直に突き出る引っ掛けピン83を備えた構成である。また、前記ロック片81には嵌合孔82が穿設され、前記引っ掛けピン83には止めリング84が付設されている。一方、前記旋回軸80に対向する左の収納部1のガイド固定パイプ7上に、固定ボルト(突出部)89が設けられている。
また、前記引っ掛けピン83が引っ掛かかるようにU字状に切り欠かれた切欠き凹部60が、ガイドパイプ6の両端近傍に設けられ、前記止めリング84の外径は、切欠き凹部60の内径より若干大きく形成されている。

また、この収納台を移動する際には、収納部1、2を折畳んだ後、一方の収納部1(2)の前記引っ掛けピン83を、向い合う他方の収納部2(1)の前記切欠き凹部60に引っ掛けるだけで、当該引っ掛けピン83の止めリング84の外側面が、ガイドパイプ6の切欠き凹部60に、しっかり密着して容易に固定することができる(図4、図5)。
