Description

The present invention relates to a display device for displaying an image and a housing structure of a television receiver, and more particularly to a technique for improving a fitting margin associated with expansion and contraction of the housing.

In recent years, display devices such as televisions have been made thinner. As one of the thin structures, there is also a product that achieves the minimum necessary thickness without causing unnecessary gaps by closely attaching the cabinet as the housing to the display part and the chassis part holding the display part Has been issued.
Further, there are cases where the housing is divided into a plurality of parts for the purpose of improving the design, and in that case, there are many structures that are fixed to the chassis while a part of the plurality of housings is overlapped.
However, when a part of a plurality of casings is fixed to the chassis, the casings may expand and contract due to heat or the like, and the mounting position between the casings may be displaced or may not be fitted properly. there were.
Therefore, even in such a case, a structure capable of smoothly fitting and fixing a plurality of housings has been demanded.

Various techniques have been proposed for such problems. For example, a display device structure (see Patent Document 1) capable of suppressing deformation of a rear cabinet due to thermal expansion or contraction while maintaining appearance quality and strength has been proposed and is a known technique. More specifically, the display device includes a rectangular display unit, a chassis arranged on the back side of the display unit, and a frame-shaped front cabinet and rear cabinet arranged on the front side and the back side of the display unit. . The rear cabinet has a plurality of fixing through holes through which screws for fixing to the chassis pass, a plurality of rectangular divisions arranged in the long side direction, and along one side of each division And a connecting portion that connects the divided bodies to each other. Of the two connecting portions to be connected, one connecting portion has a connecting through hole arranged in parallel in the direction along the one side, and the other connecting portion passes through the connecting through hole. A plurality of insertion openings into which the screws are inserted are formed. The fixing through-hole is formed with a dimension in the long side direction larger than that of the screw. Moreover, the structure which receives one rib with the other rib receiving part is disclosed as a structure which fixes several back side cabs.

A structure is described in which a plurality of casings are stably fixed even if there is a positional shift due to expansion and contraction of the casings. The display device 10 receives an external video signal and displays the video on the display unit 12 including the display panel 11. An input substrate provided inside the display device 10 receives an external video signal and outputs a drive signal generated by performing predetermined signal processing. The display panel 11 is a liquid crystal panel, for example, and displays an image based on a drive signal input from an input board. In the present embodiment, a rectangular display panel 11 that is longer in the left-right direction than in the up-down direction is used. The side housing 30 is an exterior member that covers the side surface of the display device 10. The shape of the side housing 30 will be described later. The stand 13 is a member that stands the display device 10 on a flat surface such as a floor surface or a top surface of a desk. The display device 10 may not be provided with the stand 13 and may be directly fixed to a wall or the like.

The display device 10 mainly includes a display unit 12, a chassis 20, a side case 30, and a back case 40. The display unit 12 is held by the chassis 20, and the display unit 12 and the chassis 20 are covered by the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 from the back side. The chassis 20, the side casing 30, and the rear casing 40 are fixed by screws 70 (FIG. 2). Depending on the product, a front frame, which is a decorative plate, may be mounted in front of the chassis 20.

The display unit 12 is a video display part including the display panel 11. In addition to the display panel 11, the display panel 11 includes an optical sheet, a light guide plate, a reflective sheet, an LED substrate, a heat sink, and the like. The optical sheet is a resin sheet that diffuses and converges light, and has a structure in which a plurality of sheets such as a diffusion sheet and a prism sheet are laminated. The light guide plate is, for example, a rectangular acrylic plate with high transparency. A reflective sheet is provided on the rear surface of the light guide plate. The light guide plate and the reflection sheet have substantially the same shape as the display panel 11.

The LED substrate is a long plate-shaped circuit substrate having substantially the same length as the long side of the light guide plate. A plurality of white LEDs are mounted on one surface of the LED substrate. A heat sink is a metal board with high heat conductivity, such as aluminum or copper. The left-right direction of the heat sink is substantially the same length as the long side of the light guide plate. The vertical direction of the heat sink is about a quarter of the vertical direction of the light guide plate.

The display unit 12 is held by the chassis 20. As a configuration, the display panel 11, the optical sheet, the light guide plate, and the reflection sheet are arranged and held so that the reflection sheet is in contact with the chassis 20. The LED substrate is disposed at the end of the chassis 20.
The chassis 20 has a role of holding the display unit 12 and holding functional components of the display device 10. A circuit board 80, a speaker 81, and the like are held on the back side of the chassis 20. The circuit board 80 includes a control board, a tuner board, a power supply board, a video processing board, and the like. The speaker 81 is composed of one set of tweeters and one woofer (FIG. 3B).

The chassis 20 is composed of a flat portion having substantially the same size as the display panel 11 and a frame portion 21 standing on the front side around the flat portion. The material is a metal such as iron or aluminum. A screw hole 23 for fixing the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 is provided around the flat portion. About 7 on the long side and about 4 on the short side. A number of screw holes for screwing the circuit board 80 and the speaker 81 are provided near the center of the flat portion. In addition, a plurality of apertures are provided to improve the overall rigidity (FIG. 6). A plurality of screw holes 23 for fixing the side surface housing 30 are provided in a portion where the plate portion 31 of the side surface housing 30 around the chassis 20 contacts. Around the screw hole 23 is a convex portion 22. The projecting amount of the convex portion 22 is small, and the purpose is to bring the plate portion 31 into contact with the surface moderately (FIG. 6C). In addition, the side housing 30 that comes into contact with the chassis 20 can be easily slid by the convex portion 22.

The side housing 30 is a cabinet that covers the chassis 20 from the side. The material is a resin such as ABS. It is comprised from the board part 31 and the side part 32, and is the shape of a square as a whole. The plate portion 31 abuts on the peripheral portion on the back surface side of the chassis 20, and the side surface portion 32 projects to the front side with respect to the plate portion 31 so as to cover the side surface of the chassis 20. The plate portion 31 overlaps with the rear casing 40, and after the display device 10 is completed, it is covered with the rear casing 40 and cannot be seen from the surface. The side surface portion 32 has a structure that is not covered by the rear housing 40, becomes a part of the appearance of the display device 10, and is visible from the surface even after the display device 10 is completed.

A plurality of first bosses 33 for contacting the chassis 20 are arranged on the front side of the plate portion 31 of the side housing 30 (FIG. 5C). The reason why the first boss 33 is provided with respect to the plate portion 31 is to fill a gap between the chassis 20 and the plate portion 31. A through hole 36 for screwing is provided in the center of the first boss 33. Seven first bosses 33 are arranged on the long side of the side housing 30 and four on the single side.
When providing the 1st boss | hub 33, in order to make the thickness of a cabinet uniform, it is necessary to provide a dent in the back surface side corresponding to the 1st boss | hub 33 of the board part 31. FIG. Therefore, this recess is used as a configuration for receiving the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40. This dent is arranged as a boss receiving part 34. The boss receiving portion 34 includes a contact surface 35 and a through hole 36. The abutting surface 35 is a portion that abuts the tip of the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40. The shape of the contact surface 35 is generally elliptical or oval. The contact surface 35 has a longer length in the longitudinal direction of the plate portion 31 than a length in the width direction of the plate portion 31. The second boss 41 is substantially cylindrical, and the relationship between the contact surface 35 and the tip of the second boss 41 is substantially the same in the width direction of the plate portion 31, and the length of the plate portion 31 is long. In the direction, the contact surface 35 is longer than the tip of the second boss 41. Therefore, the second boss 41 can be brought into contact with the contact surface 35 without any problem even if the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 are displaced in the longitudinal direction of the plate portion 31.
All the contact surfaces 35 of the boss receiving portions 34 arranged on the side housing 30 may be oval or oval, or only the contact surface 35 of the boss receiving portion 34 at the end of the plate portion 31 is oval or oval. The other boss receptacle may be a simple circle. It is determined by the degree of dimensional deviation between the cabinets.

The back housing 40 has a structure that covers the back surface of the display device 10. The material is a resin such as ABS. A plurality of second bosses 41 are arranged on the front side around the rear housing 40 and abut against the plate portion 31 of the side housing 30. Seven second bosses 41 are arranged on the long side and four on the short side. A through hole 42 is provided in the center of the second boss 41, and the rear housing 40 and the side housing 30 are fastened together with the chassis 20 by screws 70. The through hole 42 is provided with an elliptical hole to cope with the expansion and contraction of the back housing 40 (FIG. 4C).

The relationship among the chassis 20, the side housing 30, and the back housing 40 will be described with reference to FIGS. A side housing 30 is disposed on the chassis 20 so as to cover the periphery of the chassis 20. Most of the side surface of the chassis 20 is covered by the side surface portion 32 of the side housing 30. With this structure, the screw on the side surface of the chassis 20 can be hidden, and a thin and high-quality structure can be obtained. The rear case 40 is fixed to the chassis 20 and the side case 30 with screws 70 from the back side of the side case 30. The back housing 40 has a structure that covers only the back surface. Since the circuit board 80, the speaker 81, and the like are disposed on the rear surface side of the chassis 20, the rear housing 40 has a dish-shaped structure in which the center portion swells to the rear surface side (FIG. 2).
FIG. 8 shows a structure in which the chassis 20, the side housing 30, and the back housing 40 come into contact with each other. The downward direction on the paper is the front side of the display device 10, and the upper side of the paper is the back side. The first boss 33 of the plate portion 31 of the side housing 30 abuts against the convex portion 22 of the chassis 20. The second boss 41 of the rear housing 40 contacts the contact surface 35 of the plate portion 31 of the side housing 30. There is a screw hole 23 at the center of the convex portion 22 of the chassis 20, a through hole 36 at the center of the first boss 33 of the plate portion 31 of the side housing 30, and a second boss 41 of the rear housing 40. There is a through hole 42 at the center of the center. The through hole 36 and the through hole 42 are sufficiently larger than the diameter of the screw portion of the screw 70. The screws 70 fasten the back casing 40 and the side casing 30 to the chassis 20 together (FIG. 8A).

Since the material of the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 is resin, the expansion and contraction due to temperature is relatively large. Further, the thermal expansion coefficient is different between the chassis 20 made of metal, the side housing 30 and the rear housing 40 made of resin. Even if it is a resin, the expansion coefficient differs between ABS and polycarbonate.
The dimensional design of the chassis 20, the side casing 30, and the rear casing 40 is generally performed along the dimensions at room temperature. Therefore, when assembling the display device 10 on the production line, the temperature of each member differs depending on the season and storage location of the mold, and the chassis 20, the side housing 30, the rear surface due to the difference in thermal expansion coefficient. There may be a case where the displacement of the mounting position of the housing 40 becomes large.

FIG. 7 shows the relationship between the boss receiving portion 34 of the side housing 30 and the tip of the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40. It is the figure which looked at the side surface housing | casing 30 from the back side, and has expanded the boss receiving part 34 vicinity. The plate portion 31 of the side housing 30 is provided with a boss receiving portion 34 that is a recess, and receives the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40. The contact surface 35 is a surface with which the tip of the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40 contacts. The shape of the contact surface 35 is larger in the longitudinal direction of the plate portion 31 and in the left-right direction on the paper surface than in the width direction of the plate portion 31 and the vertical direction on the paper surface. The shape of the contact surface 35 is generally elliptical or oval. The size of the tip of the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40 is indicated by a dotted line A. Compared with the size of the tip of the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40, the contact surface 35 has a small gap in the width direction of the plate portion 31 and a large gap in the longitudinal direction of the plate portion 31. .

FIG. 7A shows a case where the displacement between the side casing 30 and the rear casing 40 is small. The tip end of the second boss 41 is disposed substantially at the center of the contact surface 35. When the rear housing 40 is contracted compared to the side housing 30, a dimensional deviation occurs between the side housing 30 and the rear housing 40, and the rear housing 40 is in contact with the contact surface 35. The dotted line A, which is the size of the tip of the second boss 41, is shifted to the left in the drawing (FIG. 7B). If the size of the contact surface 35 is smaller in the left-right direction than the size of the tip of the second boss 41, the second boss 41 does not enter the boss receiving portion 34. Or if it tries to put it forcibly, the back housing | casing 40 whole will be distorted, and the quality of the external appearance of a product will be reduced. Since the contact surface 35 is large with respect to the longitudinal direction of the plate portion 31, which is a direction in which the displacement due to thermal expansion increases, the second boss 41 can be installed smoothly with respect to the boss receiving portion 34. I can do it. Although it is conceivable to increase the shape of the abutting surface 35 in the width direction of the plate portion 31, if this is done, the positioning function of the boss receiving portion 34 is reduced, and the back surface housing 30 has a rear surface. The positional accuracy of the housing 40 is lowered, and the quality of the appearance of the product is lowered. Therefore, the shape of the contact surface 35 cannot be increased rapidly.

Expansion and contraction due to heat occurs even after the product is completed. When the product is used, the dimensions of the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 may gradually shift due to changes in the ambient temperature and the internal temperature. Before the deviation occurs, the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 are located at the positions shown in FIGS. 7A and 8A. However, the side housing 30 is expanded to the chassis 20 and the back housing 40 by expansion. When it expands compared with FIG. 7, it changes to a position like FIG.7 (b) and FIG.8 (b).
This is because the contact surface 35 of the boss receiving portion 34 is larger than the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40, and the through hole 36 of the side housing 30 is larger than the screw diameter of the screw 70. This is possible because 30 is slidably fixed to the chassis 20 and the back housing 40.
FIG. 7B shows an example in which the side housing 30 is displaced, but the same applies to the case where the rear housing 40 is slipped.

As an embodiment, the shape of the contact surface 35 has been described as an ellipse or an oval shape (oval), but may be a rectangle or the like as long as the same effect can be exhibited. Further, bosses whose abutting surface 35 has an oval shape or the like may be applied to all the boss receiving portions 34 of the side housing 30, or may be applied only to the boss receiving portion 34 at the extreme end. If all the boss receiving portions 34 of the side case 30 are performed, it is possible to cope with a larger expansion and contraction. If only the end boss receiving portion 34 is used, the side case 30 and the rear case 40 are positioned. It can cope with expansion and the like while performing with high accuracy.

Further, as an example, the relationship between the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 has been described. However, the chassis 20 and the plurality of cabinets have an overlap between the plurality of cabinets, and the chassis 20 and the plurality of cabinets are fastened together. If it is the shape to be made, it can be set as the same structure as this invention.

Thus, according to the present invention, in the display device and the television receiver, when a plurality of casings are partially overlapped and fixed to the chassis holding the display unit, the display apparatus and the television receiver are stable regardless of the expansion and contraction of the casing. Thus, an excellent effect of being able to be fitted and fixed is exhibited.
(Example 2)

Another embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. Parts similar to those in the first embodiment are omitted. FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the second embodiment.
According to the first embodiment, when a plurality of casings are partially overlapped and fixed to the chassis holding the display unit, the structure can be stably fitted and fixed regardless of the expansion and contraction of the casing. I can do it.
However, depending on the cavity structure, a positioning and fitting structure that does not use the screw 70 has also been required.

FIG. 9 shows a structure in which the screw 70, the screw hole 23, the through hole 36, and the through hole 42 are removed from the first embodiment. The chassis 20, the side housing 30, and the back housing 40 are fixed at a place other than the boss. A screw or a claw may be used. The chassis 20, the side housing 30, and the back housing 40 are brought into contact with each other by the convex portion 22, the first boss 33, the boss receiving portion 34, the second boss 41, etc., and the vertical positioning on the paper surface of FIG. Is called. Next, the positioning between the side casing 30 and the rear casing 40 is performed by the boss receiving portion 34 of the side casing 30 and the second boss 41 of the rear casing 40. Since the contact surface 35 of the side housing 30 is large in the longitudinal direction of the plate portion 31 as in the first embodiment, a dimensional deviation occurs between the side housing 30 and the back housing 40 due to thermal expansion and contraction. Even so, the second boss 41 of the rear housing 40 can be stably fixed to the contact surface 35 of the side housing 30.

Thus, according to this structure, positioning between a plurality of cavities can be easily performed.
