Abstract
Description
本書類は、バリア特性が向上した薄紙フィルムの製造に関する。
先行技術により、薄いウェブ及び薄膜をミクロフィブリル化セルロース(MFC)から製造できることが知られている。「薄膜(thin film)」という用語は、30g/m2未満の坪量を有するフィルムを定義する目的のものである。この目的は、プラスチック基材上にMFCを塗布することによって、又はワイヤに繊維を塗布し、非常に長い時間にわたって真空吸引を用いることによって、達成することができる。
本発明の目的は、MFCフィルムが高い酸素バリア特性を示し、そして、先行技術の解決策と関連するピンホールに関する問題を回避するように、抄紙機において薄いMFCフィルムを高速で製造可能にすることである。
一実施形態によれば、フィルムは、当業者に周知である長網抄紙機などの従来の製紙機械により生産又は製造される。フィルムは、ミクロフィブリル化セルロース繊維を含む第1の水性懸濁液を準備することによって製造される。この第1の懸濁液は、40〜90の範囲又は60〜85の範囲のショッパー・リーグラ(SR)値、すなわち、第1の脱水性を有し得る。
例として、ミクロフィブリル化セルロースフィルムを、従来の製紙機械のワイヤセクションにおいて生産した。参照試験(ref)では、水をサイズプレスに加えた。次に示すように、サイズプレスに種々の濃度のMFCを加えて、本発明の一実施形態による2つの試験を行った。
別の例として、紙料の総固形分を基準として100重量%の量のミクロフィブリル化繊維を含む紙料から、15gsmのウェブを形成した。紙料のSR値は、23.5である。
Claims (15)
- 以下の工程を含むミクロフィブリル化セルロースを含むフィルムの製造方法:
第1の懸濁液を準備する工程であり、前記第1の懸濁液の固形分の総重量を基準としてミクロフィブリル化セルロースを少なくとも50重量%含み、乾燥分含有量が0.2〜2.0%であり、第1のショッパー・リーグラ(SR)値を有した第1の懸濁液を準備する工程と、
前記第1の懸濁液の第1のウェブを形成する工程;
前記第1のウェブを少なくとも部分的に脱水する工程;
第2の懸濁液として、ミクロフィブリル化セルロース及び/又は微繊維及び/又は繊維を含むものを、前記形成され少なくとも部分的に脱水した第1のウェブの表面に適用し、第2の懸濁液は前記第1のショッパー・リーグラ値より高い第2のショッパー・リーグラ値を有し、これによってフィルムを形成する工程。 - 第1の懸濁液が、前記懸濁液の固形分の総重量を基準として、3〜40重量%の量又は5〜15重量%の量の填材をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の懸濁液が、前記懸濁液の固形分の総重量を基準として、5〜50重量%の量又は5〜15重量%の量の長繊維をさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 第1の懸濁液のSR値が、40〜90の範囲又は60〜85の範囲にある、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 第2の懸濁液が、微繊維及び/又は短繊維、填材、保持化学物質、凝集添加剤、解こう添加剤、湿潤強度化学物質、乾燥強度添加剤、軟化剤、又はこれらの混合物のうちのいずれか1種をさらに含む、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 第2の懸濁液が、ヘッドボックス内の第1のウェブの表面に供給される、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 第2の懸濁液が、サイズプレスによって第1のウェブの表面に供給される、請求項1〜5に記載の方法。
- 第2のSR値が、第1のSR値より5%〜30%高い、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 第2の懸濁液の乾燥分含有量が、第1の懸濁液より少ない、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 第2の懸濁液が、第1のウェブの表面に泡の形態により適用される、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 形成されたフィルムを脱水する工程をさらに含む、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 脱水が真空によって行われる、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 脱水が機械的圧力によって行われる、請求項11に記載の方法。
- フィルムの酸素透過率(OTR)が、500ml/m2/24時間未満、又は100ml/m2/24時間未満、又は50ml/m2/24時間未満、又は10ml/m2/24時間未満、又は1ml/m2/24時間未満である、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法によって得られたフィルム。
- フィルムの坪量が、50g/m2未満、又は35g/m2未満、25g/m2未満、又は20g/m2未満である、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法によって得られたフィルム。
