Description

The present invention relates to a terminal.

There is known a plug connector including a cylindrical member and a cylindrical contact member accommodated in the cylindrical member (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Is formed. An electric wire 110 is connected to the electric wire connecting member 10, and a counterpart terminal (male terminal) 120 having a cylindrical shape is connected to the terminal connecting portion 40.

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the wire connecting member in the present embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 2, the wire connecting member 10 has a cross-sectional shape that is rotationally symmetric about the central axis Ca 0 , and includes two mounting portions 20 and 30. The terminal connection member 40 is attached to the first attachment portion 20, while the electric wire 110 is attached to the second attachment portion 30. The electric wire connecting member 10 is integrally formed as a whole. Examples of the material constituting the wire connecting member 10 include copper alloys such as pure copper and brass, and metal materials such as aluminum and stainless steel. Various surface treatments may be applied to the surface of the wire connecting member 10.

A first hole portion 21 is formed in the first attachment portion 20 so as to extend along the central axis Ca 0 of the wire connecting member 10. Further, the first protrusion 611 second protrusion 531 are aligned along the axial direction Ca 1.

Here, when the "axial in direction Ca 1 first region 53 corresponding to the first insertion piece 61" and, which is translated along the first insertion piece 61 in the axial direction Ca 1, connecting portions 50, an area that overlaps with the first insertion piece 61 and means an area having substantially the same width as the first insertion piece 61.

Each of the second insertion pieces 62 also has a third protrusion 621 at the tip (end on the + Y direction side) of the second insertion piece 62. As shown in FIG. 7, the third protrusion 621 protrudes toward the radially outer side Ro 1 of the connecting portion 50 and has a height h 3 . The third protrusion 621 also contacts the inner peripheral surface of the first hole portion 21 of the wire connecting member 10 in a state where the terminal connecting member 40 is inserted into the wire connecting member 10. In the present embodiment, the height h 3 of the third protrusion 621 has a height h 2 and substantially the same height h 1 and the second protrusion 531 of the first protrusion 611 described above (H 3 = h 1 = h 2 ), but not particularly limited thereto.

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, the connecting portion 50 also has a second region 54 (indicated by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 4) corresponding to the second insertion piece 62 along the central axis Ca 1 . 4 projections 541. The fourth protrusion 541 also protrudes toward the radially outer side Ro 1 of the connecting portion 50 and has a height h 4 . The height h 4 of the fourth protrusion 541 is substantially the same as the height h 3 of the third protrusion 621 described above (h 4 = h 3 ).

Similarly to the second protrusion 531, the fourth protrusion 541 also has the first hole 21 in the wire connection member 10 in a state where the terminal connection member 40 is inserted into the wire connection member 10 as shown in FIG. 4. Is provided in the second region 54 of the connecting portion 50 so as to face the vicinity of the opening 25 (shown by a one-dot chain line in FIG. 4), and the inner periphery of the first hole portion 21 of the wire connecting member 10 It is in contact with the surface. Further, a third projection 621 and the fourth protrusion 541 are aligned along the axial direction Ca 1.

Here, when the "axial in direction Ca 1 second region 54 corresponding to the second insertion piece 62" and, which is translated along the second insertion piece 62 in the axial direction Ca 1, connecting portions 50, an area that overlaps with the second insertion piece 62 and means an area having substantially the same width as the second insertion piece 62.

Each of the third insertion pieces 63 has a locking protrusion 631 at the tip (end on the + Y direction side) of the third insertion piece 63 instead of the protrusion. As shown in FIG. 8, the locking protrusion 631 is formed by bending a notched portion of the third insertion piece 63 toward the radially outer side Ro 1 . When the terminal connecting member 40 is inserted into the first mounting portion 20 of the wire connecting member 10, the locking projection 631 is locked to the step 24 of the second hole portion 21, so that the terminal connecting member 40 is It is fixed to the wire connecting member 10.

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 8, the connecting portion 50 has a third region 55 (indicated by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 4) corresponding to the third insertion piece 63 along the central axis Ca 1 . 5 projections 551. The fifth protrusion 551 also protrudes toward the radially outer side Ro 1 of the connecting portion 50 and has a height h 5 . In the present embodiment, the height of the height h 5 of the fifth protrusion 551 has a height h 1 of the first protrusion 611 described above, the height h 2 of the second protrusion 531, third protrusion 621 h 3, and, although a height h 4 substantially identical to the fourth protrusion 541 (h 5 = h 1 = h 2 = h 3 = h 4), is not particularly limited thereto.

Similarly to the second and fourth protrusions 531 and 541, the fifth protrusion 551 is also formed in the wire connection member 10 in a state where the terminal connection member 40 is inserted into the wire connection member 10 as shown in FIG. 4. The first hole portion 21 is provided in the third region 55 of the connecting portion 50 so as to face the vicinity of the opening 25 (indicated by the alternate long and short dash line in FIG. 4) of the first hole portion 21. It is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the hole 21. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the second protrusion 531, the fourth protrusion 541, and the fifth protrusion 551 provided in the connecting portion 50 are aligned along the circumferential direction Cd 1 of the connecting portion 50.

Here, when the "axial in direction Ca 1 third region 55 corresponding to the third insertion piece 63" and, which is translated along a third insertion piece 63 in the axial direction Ca 1, connecting portions 50, an area that overlaps with the third insertion piece 63, and means an area that has substantially the same width as the third insertion piece 63. Note that the fifth protrusion 551 may not be provided in the third region 55 of the connecting portion 50.

As shown in FIG. 3, the plurality of connecting pieces 70 protrude from the connecting portion 50 in a direction opposite to the protruding direction of the insertion piece 60 (−Y direction in the drawing). The connection pieces 70 are also arranged at substantially equal intervals along the circumferential direction Cd 1 of the connecting portion 50, and the first to third insertion pieces 61 to 63 are arranged along the central axis Ca 1 of the connecting portion 50. Located on one of the extension lines. The arrangement of the contact piece 70 is not particularly limited thereto, it may be arranged at a distance from one another along the circumferential direction Cd 1 of the plurality of connecting pieces 70 connecting portion 50.

As shown in FIG. 4, the plurality of (eight in this example) connection pieces 70 include four first connection pieces 71 and four second connection pieces 72. The length L 2 of the second connection piece 72 along the central axis Ca 1 of the connecting member 50 is relatively longer than the length L 1 of the first connection piece 71 (L 2 > L 1 ). The first connection pieces 71 and the second connection pieces 72 are alternately arranged, and when the counterpart terminal 120 is inserted into the insertion space 401, it is easy to align the counterpart terminal 120 and the insertion space 401. It has become.

In the present embodiment, the width of the first connection piece 71 and the width of the second connection piece 72 are substantially the same, but the present invention is not particularly limited thereto, and the first and second connection pieces 71, The widths of 72 may be different from each other. In addition, as long as the 1st connection piece 71 and the 2nd connection piece 72 are arrange | positioned alternately, the number of the connection pieces 70 is not specifically limited above.

Each first connection piece 71 has a first contact portion 711 at the tip of the first connection piece 71. The first contact portion 711 is formed by bending the tip portion of the first connection piece 71 into a convex shape. Each of the second connection pieces 72 also has a second contact portion 721 at the tip of the second connection piece 72. The second contact portion 721 is formed by bending the tip portion of the second connection piece 72 into a convex shape.

When the counterpart terminal 120 is inserted into the terminal 1, the counterpart terminal 120 is held by the terminal 1 by being held between the first and second connection pieces 71 and 72. In addition, the first and second contact portions 711 and 721 are in contact with the side surface of the counterpart terminal 120, whereby the terminal 1 and the counterpart terminal 120 are electrically connected.

In addition, the shape of the 1st and 2nd contact parts 711 and 721 is not specifically limited to said shape. For example, the first and second contact portions 711 and 721 may be formed by bending the tips of the first and second connection pieces 71 and 72 into a U shape. Further, for example, the first and second contact portions 711 and 721 may be formed by providing protrusions and thick portions at the tips of the first and second connection pieces 71 and 72.

Next, a method for manufacturing a terminal in the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 9 (a) to 9 (d). FIG. 9A to FIG. 9D are perspective views showing the manufacturing process of the terminal in this embodiment.

First, as shown to Fig.9 (a), the 1st process body 91 is formed by giving the cutting process by stamping with respect to the plate-shaped member which consists of a metal material for forming the terminal connection member 40. FIG. By this cutting process, the first piece shape 911 corresponding to the insertion piece 60, the second piece shape 912 corresponding to the connection piece 70, and the first and second protruding pieces 511, 521 are formed. . In addition, the cutting process with respect to a plate-shaped member is not specifically limited to punching, For example, cutting etc. may be sufficient.

Next, as shown in FIG. 9B, the first processed body 91 having a flat shape is pressed to form a second processed body 92. By this pressing, the connecting portion 50 having the protrusions 531 to 551, the insertion pieces 61 to 63 having the protrusions 611 and 621 or the locking protrusion 631, and the connection pieces 71 and 72 having the contact portions 711 and 721 are formed. Is done.

Next, as shown in FIG. 9C, the cylindrical processed terminal connecting member 40 is formed by bending the second processed body 92. In this bending process, as shown in FIG. 5, the tip portions 511 and 522 of the projecting pieces 511 and 521 are brought into contact with each other.

Next, although not particularly illustrated, the wire connecting member 10 is formed by cutting a rod-shaped member made of a metal material. The formation of the wire connection member 10 may be performed before the formation of the terminal connection member 40 or may be performed in parallel with the formation of the terminal connection member 40.

Next, as shown in FIG. 9D, the wire connecting member 10 and the terminal connecting member 40 are attached to each other. Specifically, mutually to match the central axis Ca 1 of the central axis Ca 0 and the terminal connection member 40 of the wire connection member 10. Then, the connecting portion 50 and the insertion piece 60 of the terminal connection member 40 are inserted into the first hole portion 21 of the first attachment portion 20 of the wire connection member 10, and the locking protrusion 631 of the third insertion piece 63 is inserted. Is locked to the step 24 (see FIG. 2) of the wire connecting member 10. Thereby, the electric wire connection member 10 and the terminal connection member 40 are mutually fixed, and the terminal 1 in this embodiment is completed.

Here, for example, when adopting a structure in which the first protrusion is provided in the insertion piece but the second protrusion is not provided in the connecting portion, the opening edge of the first hole portion of the wire connecting member is used as a fulcrum, The connecting piece may be inclined in the radial direction of the connecting portion, and the cylindrical shape of the terminal connecting member may be deformed. In particular, both end portions of the connecting portion of the terminal connection member are free ends, and the connection pieces adjacent to each other through the both end portions are more easily inclined than other connection pieces. A relative inclination of the connecting portion in the circumferential direction between the pieces may also occur incidentally, and the distance between the tips of the connection pieces may increase. Therefore, when such a structure is employed, the cylindrical shape of the terminal connection member is not stable, and as a result, the electrical connection with the counterpart terminal and the stability of the insertion / extraction force are poor.

On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the first protrusions 611 are respectively provided on the pair of first insertion pieces 61, and the second protrusions 531 are also formed on the pair of first regions 53 of the connecting portion 50. Each is provided. That is, in this embodiment, the root portion of the connection piece 71 closest to the one end portion 51 of the connecting portion 50 is supported at two points with respect to the inner peripheral surface of the first hole portion 21 of the wire connection member 10. At the same time, the root portion of the connecting piece 72 closest to the other end 52 of the connecting portion 50 is supported at two points with respect to the inner peripheral surface of the first hole portion 21 of the wire connecting member 10.

Therefore, the connecting pieces 71 and 72 closest to the end portions 51 and 52 of the connecting portion 50 (that is, the connecting pieces 71 and 72 corresponding to the first insertion piece 61) in the radial direction of the connecting portion 50, Expansion of the distance w 1 (see FIG. 5) between the tips of the connection pieces 71 and 72 can be suppressed, and the cylindrical shape of the terminal connection member 40 can be stabilized. Therefore, the electrical connection between the terminal 1 and the counterpart terminal 120 and the stability of the insertion / extraction force can be improved.

In the present embodiment, in addition to the first and second protrusions 611 and 531, a third protrusion 621 is provided on the second insertion piece 62. By such first to third protrusions 611, 531, 612, the contact pressure of the insertion piece can be increased compared to the case where the insertion piece of the terminal connection member is in surface contact with the inner peripheral surface of the wire connection member, The stability of electrical connection between the terminal connection member 40 and the wire connection member 10 can be improved.

In the present embodiment, in addition to the third protrusion 621, a fourth protrusion 541 is provided in the second region 54 of the connecting portion 50. Therefore, the base portions of the connection pieces 71 and 72 (that is, the connection pieces 71 and 72 corresponding to the second insertion piece 62) positioned on the extension line of the second insertion piece 62 can be supported at two points, respectively. Therefore, it can suppress that the said connection pieces 71 and 72 incline along the radial direction of the connection part 50. FIG.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, the front-end | tip parts 512 and 522 of the protrusion pieces 511 and 521 are circular. For this reason, even if the other end 52 is relatively inclined with respect to the one end 51 of the connecting portion 50, It is possible to suppress the interval w 1 (see FIG. 5) from spreading greatly.

On the other hand, when the protruding piece of the connecting portion is rectangular, even if the inclination of the other end portion with respect to the one end portion of the connecting portion is small, the relative protruding amount of the protruding piece with the inclination is small. Therefore, the distance between the tips of the connecting pieces closest to both ends of the connecting portion is greatly increased.

The embodiment described above is described for facilitating the understanding of the present invention, and is not described for limiting the present invention.
