前記密封装置は、前記二部材のうちの一方の部材に取り付けられる外周側シール部材と、他方の部材に取り付けられる内周側シール部材と、前記外周側シール部材と前記内周側シール部材との間に取り付けられる保護部材と、前記内周側シール部材に取り付けられるカバー部材と、を備え、
前記保護部材は、軸方向の機外側の端部から内周側に向けて折り曲げられるとともに、前記内周側シール部材の機外側に配置される外周側フランジ部を有し、
前記カバー部材は、前記外周側フランジ部の機外側に配置されるとともに、前記外周側フランジ部の機外側の端面に接触する内周側フランジ部を有し、
前記保護部材は、前記外周側シール部材及び内周側シール部材に対して軸方向変位可能に組み付けられているとともに、弾性部材によって前記外周側フランジ部を前記内周側フランジ部に押し付ける方向に弾性付勢されていることを特徴とする密封装置。
