Abstract
Description
本願は、2014年1月31日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/934,259号(名称「Moving Basal Engine For A Fluid Delivery Device」)の利益を主張し、その全体が参照によって援用される。
本発明は、概して、流体送達デバイスのための可動式基礎機関に関する。
一実施形態では、流体送達デバイスが、存在し、流体送達デバイスは、薬剤を含有するための流体リザーバであって、摺動式シールピストンを用いて、一端に近接してシールされる流体リザーバと、流体リザーバと流体送達デバイスを装着している患者とを流動的に結合するように構成される送達経路と、制御された基礎速度において、摺動式シールピストンを流体リザーバ内で直接的または間接的に、移動させるように構成される基礎機関機構と、基礎機関を流体リザーバに対して移動させ、1回に個別のボーラス量だけ、摺動式シールピストンを流体リザーバ内で直接的または間接的に移動させるように構成されるボーラス機構とを備える。
一実施形態では、本発明は例えば以下の項目を提供する:

薬剤を含有するための流体リザーバであって、前記流体リザーバは、摺動式シールピストンを用いて、一端に近接してシールされている、流体リザーバと、
前記流体リザーバと前記流体送達デバイスを装着している患者とを流動的に結合するように構成されている送達経路と、
制御された基礎速度において、前記摺動式シールピストンを前記流体リザーバ内で直接的または間接的に移動させるように構成されている基礎機関機構と、
前記基礎機関を前記流体リザーバに対して移動させ、1回に個別のボーラス量だけ、前記摺動式シールピストンを前記流体リザーバ内で直接的または間接的に移動させるように構成されている、ボーラス機構と
を備える、流体送達デバイス。
(項目2)
前記基礎機関は、前記ボーラス機構内に含有される、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。
(項目3)
前記基礎機関は、貯蔵エネルギー源からの圧力下、液圧流体を含有するリザーバを含み、前記リザーバは、開口を含み、前記開口は、前記貯蔵エネルギー源の力、前記液圧流体の粘度、および前記開口の幾何学形状によって決定される速度において、前記液圧流体を放出するように構成されている、項目2に記載の流体送達デバイス。
(項目4)
前記リザーバによって放出される前記液圧流体は、前記摺動式シールピストンを押圧する、項目3に記載の流体送達デバイス。
(項目5)
前記貯蔵エネルギー源は、1つまたは複数のばねを含む、項目3に記載の流体送達デバイス。
(項目6)
前記貯蔵エネルギー源は、圧縮ガスまたは圧縮ガスを生成するための可燃性材料を含む、項目3に記載の流体送達デバイス。

前記基礎機関機構と前記摺動式シールピストンとの間に液圧流体が存在する、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。

前記摺動式シールピストンは、前記基礎機関機構および前記薬剤と接触している、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。

前記基礎機関機構は、前記摺動式シールピストンを含む、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。

前記基礎機関機構は、摺動式シールを含み、前記摺動式シールは、前記摺動式シールピストンと接触している液圧流体と接触している、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。
(項目15)
前記流体リザーバは、患者の皮膚表面に接着されるように構成されている接着剤パッチを有する筐体内に含有される、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。

前記送達経路は、針を含む、項目1に記載の流体送達デバイス。

薬剤の基礎およびボーラス用量の送達のためのポータブルシステムが、ここ数年のうちに、市場に出回りつつある。電子駆動式薬剤ポンプが、一般的であり、定常低速度用量(すなわち、基礎)を供給するようにプログラムされ、かつユーザの要求に応じて、より高い用量(すなわち、ボーラス)を供給するように制御されることができる。I型糖尿病のためのインスリンポンプの装着可能版は、いくつかの企業によって市販されている。過去10年において、基礎およびボーラス送達を供給することができる、皮膚に接着される装着可能なパッチポンプが、利用可能となっている。これらの電子ポンプは、使用が非常に複雑で、かつ非常に高価であり、したがって、多くの場合、少なくとも毎日の薬物送達に非常に依存する、I型糖尿病等の患者に限定されている。
