この付勢力はドアを開く操作力よりもかなり小さいが、反発力としてドアが開き始める際のピーク荷重を軽減するレベルのアシスト機能を有している。
本発明では、この機能を有する部分をオープンアシスト手段と表現する。
また、本発明はドアが開ききる際に、このドアの動きによりその反対方向に付勢力が生じる弾性部材を有してもよく、この場合にドアを閉じ始める際の操作力をアシストするクローズアシスト手段となる。

これにより、ドア10が閉じきった状態では、ドアのプッシャー部材12にて当接部材4dがバネ部材4cが圧縮される方向に押し込まれた状態になり、シャフト部4bの先端はプッシャー部材12の溝部12aを通過する。
この状態では図2(a)に示すように、ドア10が開く方向に付勢力(反発力)が発生しているが、その力はドアの開閉操作力よりも小さい。
なお、本実施例ではシャフト部4bをブラケット4aの後方側にネジ部で突出させ、ナット等によりドア側への突出量を調整することで、この反発力を調整できるようになっている。
なお、バネ部材のスプリングの径や本数にて、反発力を調整してもよい。

なお、バネ部材は、コイルバネに限定されるものではなく、板バネ等でもよい。
また、本実施例では、シャフト部の周囲に配置したバネ部材が伸縮する例となっているが、シャフト部が弾性部材により突出方向に付勢されながらドアに押圧されて突没するものであってもよい。
