Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 酸性の水性カドミウム溶液から有機溶媒でSn-117mのヨウ化物錯体を抽出して、カドミウム含有量が実質的に低減した、Sn-117mのヨウ化物錯体を含む有機溶媒層と、酸性のカドミウム水性層とをもたらす工程を含み、前記カドミウム溶液が、溶解した照射済みカドミウムターゲット、酸、及びヨウ化物の供給源を含む、高比放射能のSn-117m組成物を精製する方法。
- 前記有機溶媒が、芳香族環の溶媒及びハロゲン化アルカンの溶媒並びにそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記有機溶媒がトルエンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ヨウ化物の供給源が、ヨウ化水素、ヨウ化物塩及びそれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ヨウ化物塩が、アルカリ金属塩及びアルカリ土類金属塩並びにそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- ある量の高比放射能Sn-117mを含む照射済みカドミウムターゲットを溶解させて前記カドミウム溶液を形成する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- Sn-117mのヨウ化物錯体を含む前記有機溶媒層を酸性のカドミウム水性層から分離して、Sn-117mに富む有機溶液をもたらす工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記有機溶媒層を塩酸溶液で洗浄することによってSn-117mを酸性溶液中に逆抽出して、カドミウム含有量が実質的に低減した、Sn-117mに富む水性溶液をもたらす工程を更に含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記塩酸溶液が少なくとも4MのHClである、請求項8に記載の方法。
- Sn-117mに富む前記水性溶液中のカドミウム含有量が、溶解した照射済みカドミウムターゲットを含む酸性の水性カドミウム溶液に対して100倍超低減している、請求項8に記載の方法。
- Sn-117mに富む前記水性溶液中のカドミウム含有量が、溶解した照射済みカドミウムターゲットを含む酸性の水性カドミウム溶液に対して1000倍超低減している、請求項8に記載の方法。
- Sn-117mに富む前記水性溶液が、CdのSnに対する1未満の質量比を有する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- Sn-117mの前記ヨウ化物錯体が四ヨウ化スズである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 50mCi超の放射能、10,000Ci/g超の比放射能(specific action)、及び1ppm/mCi未満の金属不純物を有する、Sn-117m同位体。
