Abstract
Description
− ボート内の発電機から外側のシステムまでの配線のための穴あけ。
− 電源から実際のLEDまで続くケーブル長。
− 何れのUV LEDシステムも、約10.000m2(更には存在する最も大きいボートでは最大40.000)もの面積を覆うための何らかの形態のタイル張りを有する可能性が高い。それぞれのタイル間の相互接続を行うのが困難であり得る。
− 正電極及び負電極の両方が必要であり、それはとりわけ塩水中で又は損傷が生じるときに電気的短絡を防ぐための予防策を必要とする。
− 防汚光を発生させるための一連のUV LEDと、
− LED点光源からの防汚光を保護面の全体にわたって拡散させるための光拡散体と、
− 面の全体にわたって拡散され得る防汚光を更に導き/拡散させるための導光体(又は導波路)であって、シリカ粒子又は1つ若しくは複数のシリカで覆われた部分を有する若しくは有さないUV光に対して透過的なシリコーン材料の薄層を含む、導光体(又は導波路)と
を含み得る。
− パラメータの1つ又は複数のためのセンサ(下記参照)。
− 付着を防ぐための最小パワー設定についてのパラメータ値及び知識(例えば既定の設定)に基づいて所与のパワー量を計算するためのソフトウェア。
− 全体として又は例えば船体若しくは別の要素のセクションごとに効果的な出力パワーを調節するための制御ユニット。
− 光が光媒体を通過しなければならない距離を最小限にするために、比較的ファインピッチの低出力LEDが選択され得る。
− 「中空」構造、例えば保護面から短い距離を空けた状態を保つスペーサを有するシリコーンゴムマットが使用され得る。中空構造は空気「チャネル」を作り、UV光は空気チャネルを介して高効率で伝搬し得る(空気はUVにとって非常に透過的である)。かかる構造によって与えられるガス入りチャネルを使用することは、さもなければUV光を防汚に有用であるには強く吸収し過ぎる材料の光媒体内で、UV光をかなりの距離にわたって分散させることを可能にする。同様に、別個のポケットが形成され得る。
− 特定のシリコーン又はUVグレード(溶融)シリカ等、UV透過率が高い専用材料が選択され得る。実施形態では、この専用材料は、光が距離の大部分を伝搬するためのチャネルを作成するためのみに使用され得、残りの面にはより安価な/より頑丈な材料が使用され得る。
− 典型的なコンテナ船の保護面の面積は約10.000m2である。
− 典型的なLEDは約1mm2の面積を有する。これは1010狭い。
− 所要の出力レベルを考慮に入れ、1m2当たり約10個のLEDが必要であり得る。
− 即ち1個のLEDから光が約1000cm2にわたって広がらなければならない。
− 例えば、
− 船への「被膜」としてソリューションを追加できるため、
− 船の断面寸法が増えることによる前進抵抗を増やさないため、
−(バルク)材料費を抑え続けるため
等の理由からソリューションが薄い(大きさの程度:1cm)べきであるという別の境界条件が取られるとき。
− 本開示は多岐にわたる分野に適用され得る。自然水と接触するほぼ全ての物体が徐々に生物付着に直面する。生物付着は、例えば脱塩工場の吸水口を妨げ、ポンプ場のパイプを塞ぎ、更には屋外プールの壁及び底を覆い得る。これらの用途の全てが本明細書に示す方法、照明モジュール、及び/又はシステム、即ち全表面領域への生物付着を防ぐ効果的な追加の薄い表面層の恩恵を受ける。
− UV光は好ましいソリューションであるが、他の波長も考えられる。生物付着に対しては非UV光(可視光)も効果的である。典型的な微生物はUV光よりも非UV光に対して感度が低いが、光源への単位入力動力当たりはるかに多い照射量を可視スペクトル内で発生させることができる。
− UV LEDは、薄い発光面のための理想的な光源である。しかし、低圧水銀灯等のLED以外のUV光源が使用され得る。これらの光源のフォームファクタは全く異なり、主に光源がはるかに大きい。このことは、単一の光源からの全ての光を広域にわたって「分散させる」ための様々な光学デザインをもたらす。但し、本明細書で論じられる導光の概念は変わらない。更に、所望の波長及び/又は波長の組合せにおける光の著しい寄与がもたらされ得る。
○エネルギ含量は亜鉛1ポンド当たり約368アンペア時間であり、アルミニウムでは1108アンペア時間であり、電圧3Vでの3mAの電流は10mWの電力=1mWの光パワーをUVC範囲内でもたらす(1%の変換効率において)。
○1mWのUVC光は約1m2の面積上で生物付着を防ぐことができる。
○従って大型ボート(10.000m2)では、10.000*3mA=30Aが必要である。この量は、亜鉛を12時間ごとに1ポンド、即ち約360kg/年消費する(減じる)。従って、比較的単純なシステムを使い、且つ船の船体上の既存の幾つかのコンポーネントを再利用することにより、UV防汚システムが給電され得る。
Claims (15)
- 使用中に導電性の水性液体に少なくとも一時的にさらされる物体の付着面上の生物付着を、前記付着面に防汚光を与えることによって防ぐか又は減らす防汚照明システムであって、
− 前記防汚光を発生させる光源を含む照明モジュールと、
− 局所的にエネルギを採取し、且つ前記光照明モジュールに電力を供給するエネルギシステムと
を含み、前記エネルギシステムは、(i)前記光源の第1の電極と電気接続する犠牲電極と、(ii)前記光源の第2の電極と電気接続する第2のエネルギシステム電極とを含み、前記エネルギシステムは、前記犠牲電極と前記第2のエネルギシステム電極とが前記導電性の水性液体と電気接触するとき、前記照明モジュールに電力を供給する、防汚システム。 - 前記光源が、UV−A光及びUV−C光の1つ又複数を与えるUV LEDを含む、請求項1に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 前記犠牲電極が亜鉛及びマグネシウムの1つ又は複数を含み、前記第2のエネルギシステム電極が鋼鉄を含み、前記防汚照明システムが、前記光源の前記第1の電極と第2の電極との間の電圧差を高める電圧差エンハンサを更に含む、請求項1又は2に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 光媒体を含み、前記光媒体が前記防汚光を前記付着面に与える導波路及び光ファイバの1つ又は複数を含む、請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 前記照明モジュールが、前記防汚光の少なくとも一部を受け付ける光媒体であって、前記光媒体を通して前記防汚光の少なくとも一部を分散させる光媒体を更に含み、前記光媒体は、分散された前記防汚光の少なくとも一部を前記光媒体から離れる方向に放つ放射面を含み、前記付着面が前記放射面を含む、請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 前記光源が前記光媒体に埋め込まれ、前記光媒体が前記光源との電気接続のためのトランジットを含む、請求項5に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 前記照明モジュールと、前記犠牲電極及び前記第2のエネルギシステム電極の1つ又は複数とが一体型ユニットに含まれる、請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 前記一体型ユニットが制御システム及びセンサの1つ又は複数を更に含み、前記制御システムが、(i)前記センサからのフィードバック信号であって、生物付着のリスクに関係する、フィードバック信号、及び(ii)前記防汚光の強度を時間に基づいて変えるためのタイマの1つ又は複数に応じて前記防汚光の前記強度を制御し、前記制御システム及び前記センサの前記1つ又は複数も前記エネルギシステムによって給電される、請求項7に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 前記防汚光をパルス式に与え、防汚光ありの期間が防汚光なしの期間と交互に起こる、請求項8に記載の防汚照明システム。
- 使用中に導電性の水性液体に少なくとも一時的にさらされる付着面を含み、請求項1乃至9の何れか一項に記載の防汚照明システムを更に含む、物体。
- 前記物体の高さの少なくとも一部にわたって配置される複数の照明モジュールを含み、制御システムが、前記付着面の側面における前記導電性の水性液体の液体水位に対する照明モジュールの位置に応じて前記照明モジュールからの前記防汚光の強度を制御する、請求項10に記載の物体。
- 船舶を含み、前記船舶が鋼製の船体を含み、前記船体が第2のエネルギシステム電極として構成される、請求項10又は11に記載の物体。
- 使用中に導電性の水性液体に少なくとも一時的にさらされる物体の付着面を防汚する方法であって、
− 請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の防汚照明システムを設けるステップと、
− 前記エネルギシステムによってエネルギを局所的に採取して、前記光照明モジュールに電力を供給するステップと、
− 前記照明モジュールによって前記防汚光を発生させるステップと、
− 前記防汚光を前記付着面に与えるステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記導電性の水性液体が海水である、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 使用中に導電性の水性液体に少なくとも一時的にさらされる物体に防汚照明システムを与える方法であって、請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の照明モジュール及びエネルギシステムを前記物体に与えるステップを含み、前記照明モジュールが、前記物体、及び前記物体に取り付けられる前記照明モジュールの1つ又は複数の付着面に前記防汚光を与える、方法。
