Abstract
Description
本出願は、2014年7月16日出願された米国仮出願第米国特許第62/025339号および2015年7月16日に出願された米国特許出願第14/801175号の利益を主張し、その全体が参照により本明細書に引用される。
1.発明の技術分野
本発明は、自動車、航空宇宙およびその他の用途にワイヤーハーネス、チューブ、パイプ、ホースと同様の細長い構造をカバーするために使用され、熱の影響や摩耗からそれらを保護するための一般的なタイプの織物スリーブに関し、より特定的には、そのようなアイテムを保護するために互いに重畳する関係に巻き付け可能な対向する縁部を有する織物スリーブおよびそれらの構築方法に関する。
巻き付け可能な織物スリーブは、そこに含まれる細長い部材に対する熱保護を提供することが知られている。巻き付け可能な織物スリーブは、内側絶縁部層と、内側絶縁部層の外表面に結合された最も外側の反射箔層を含むことが知られている。これらの既知のスリーブは、その当初の製造時に損傷されていない状態での使用の際には一般的に有効であるが、最も外側の反射箔層は、環境に対してその全体が表に露出しているために、飛行破片または隣接する部品によって引き裂かれることなどによって、誤って損傷され得る。最も外側の箔層が破損した場合、ダイスリーブの熱シールド特性の全体的な有効性が損なわれることになり得、このため、その中に遮蔽されている細長い部材は、望ましくない熱的影響に曝露され得る。

前記壁部の最も内側の層および前記壁部の最も外側の層を形成するために、前記壁部をそれ自体が重畳する関係に折り重ね、前記反射層を前記最も内側の層と前記最も外側の層との間に挟むこととを備える、方法。 - 前記壁部を、前記長手軸に概して平行に長手方向に延びる縦糸と、前記対向する縁部間で前記長手軸に概して横方向に延びる横糸とで織ることと、
前記壁部上に付勢を印加し、前記壁部の対向する長手方向に延びる縁部を互いに重畳する関係にするために、少なくともいくつかの前記横糸をヒートセットすることとを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記最も内側の層の前記縦糸を、絶縁性マルチフィラメントで織ることをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記最も外側の層の前記縦糸を、モノフィラメントで織ることをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
