Description
正極、負極、及び前記正極と負極との間に介在している分離膜の構造の電極組立体が電池ケースに内蔵されている電池セルであって、
前記電極組立体は、平面を基準として高さ方向に積層されており、平面の大きさが互いに異なる2つ以上の単位セルを含んでおり、
前記単位セルのうち少なくとも1つの単位セル(a)は、外周面の少なくとも1辺に、平面視で単位セル(a)の本体を横切る中心軸を基準として非対称構造が形成されており、
前記単位セルのうち少なくとも1つの単位セル(b)には、単位セル(b)の少なくとも1つの側面から単位セル(b)の中心に湾入している湾入部が形成されている構造であってもよい。

Claims (27)
- 正極、負極、及び前記正極と負極との間に介在している分離膜の構造の電極組立体が電池ケースに内蔵されている電池セルであって、
前記電極組立体は、平面を基準として高さ方向に積層されており、平面の大きさが互いに異なる2つ以上の単位セルを含んでおり、
前記単位セルのうち少なくとも1つの単位セル(a)は、外周面の少なくとも1辺に、平面視で単位セル(a)の本体を横切る中心軸を基準として非対称構造が形成されており、
前記単位セルのうち少なくとも1つの単位セル(b)には、単位セル(b)の少なくとも1つの側面から単位セル(b)の中心に湾入している湾入部が形成されていることを特徴とする、電池セル。 - 前記電極組立体は、電極端子が一側端部に共に位置する構造、または両側対向端部にそれぞれ位置する構造、または一側端部とそれに隣接する側面端部にそれぞれ位置する構造の板状型電極組立体であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記非対称構造は、曲線部で形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記曲線部は、平面上の4辺のうち1辺に形成されているか、または2辺以上にわたって形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記曲線部は円弧形状からなっており、前記円弧の凸部位が単位セル(a)の外面方向に向かうように形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記曲線部は、単位セル(a)の長辺を基準として10%〜300%の大きさの半径を有する円弧形状であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の電池セル。
- 前記曲線部は、一つの半径と一つの円弧中心を有する単一円弧の形状からなることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の電池セル。
- 前記曲線部は、隣接して積層された単位セルと接しない部位に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池セル。
- 前記湾入部は、平面視で多角形状であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記湾入部は、平面視で長方形状であることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の電池セル。
- 前記湾入部の内側面は、平面視で少なくとも一辺が円弧形状からなっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 平面視で、前記湾入部の面積は単位セル(b)の面積の5%〜80%であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電極組立体は、第1単位セル及び第2単位セルを含んでおり、前記第1単位セル及び第2単位セルは、平面視で長さ及び幅のうち少なくとも1つの大きさが異なることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第1単位セルの電極端子及び第2単位セルの電極端子は同じ方向に突出していることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第1単位セルの電極端子及び第2単位セルの電極端子は、上下に積層されるように突出して電気的に接続されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電池セル。
- 平面視で、前記第1単位セルに形成された湾入部の両側端部部位及びそれに対応する第2単位セルの部位に電極端子が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電池セル。
- 前記端部部位の幅は、第1単位セルの幅の5%〜30%であることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の電池セル。
- 平面視で、前記第1単位セルの1辺又は2辺以上に、非対称構造をなす曲線部が形成されており、前記第2単位セルの側面に湾入部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第1単位セルの幅は、第2単位セルの幅よりも大きい構造となっていることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第1単位セルの曲線部の曲率半径は、第1単位セルの幅と第2単位セルの幅との差の50%〜200%であることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の電池セル。
- 前記第1単位セル及び第2単位セルは、少なくとも一側面が上下に隣接するように積層されていることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の電池セル。
- 前記単位セルは、スタック型、スタック/フォールディング型、またはジェリーロール型電極群であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電池ケースの内面構造は、電極組立体の外面に対応するように形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電池ケースは、金属層及び樹脂層を含むラミネートシートからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 前記電池セルは、リチウムイオン電池セル又はリチウムイオンポリマー電池セルであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池セル。
- 請求項1から25のいずれか一項に記載の電池セルを電源として含んでいる、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、携帯電話、携帯用コンピュータ、スマートフォン、タブレットPC、スマートパッド、ネットブック、LEV(Light Electronic Vehicle)、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、及び電力貯蔵装置からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項26に記載のデバイス。
