And a power supply unit 24 to be described later. The LED element 21 is an example of a light emitting element.

(Configuration of pipe member)
The pipe member 10 is made of a light-transmitting material such as acrylic resin or polycarbonate resin. Note that a diffusing agent may be included in the material. The pipe member 10 has substantially the same size, size, and appearance as an existing straight fluorescent lamp. The pipe member 10 is provided with a pair of convex portions 101 projecting radially from the inner peripheral surface 10a at positions facing the inner peripheral surface 10a, so that a pair of pipe members 10 extend in parallel along the longitudinal direction of the inner peripheral surface 10a. A concave portion 100 is formed as an engagement receiving portion.

As shown in FIG. 3, the pair of recesses 100 engage and support the outer protrusion 232 of the support member 23. According to the illustrated example, the recess 100 of the pipe member 10 is a rail-like uneven portion extending along the longitudinal direction of the inner peripheral surface, but is not limited to this. A groove-like recess that is recessed in the radial direction from the peripheral surface 10a and extends along the longitudinal direction of the inner peripheral surface 10a may be formed.

(Socket configuration)
The 1st and 2nd socket 11 of the illuminating device 1 has the same structure. As a material of the end portion of the socket 11, for example, a resin such as polybutylene terephthalate resin or polycarbonate resin can be used in addition to a metal such as aluminum or an aluminum alloy. Each of the sockets 11 is provided with a pair of first to fourth socket terminals 110 made of metal for connection to terminals of a fluorescent lamp socket portion (not shown). The first to fourth socket terminals 110 are insulatively supported by bakelite. Further, when resin is used for the end portion, the first to fourth socket terminals 110 are caulked and supported by the resin.

The projecting ends of the socket terminals 110 are electrically connected to the terminals of the fluorescent lamp socket portion. The other end of the socket terminal 110 opposite to the protruding end is electrically connected to a pad provided on the circuit board 20. In addition to using the socket terminal 110, a lead wire or a lead wire provided with a connector may be used as long as it can be electrically connected. Further, when a secondary battery is used for the power supply unit 24, the socket terminal 110 and the circuit board 20 may not be electrically connected.

The connection portion connected to the pipe member 10 of the socket 11 is formed of a resin such as polybutylene terephthalate resin or polycarbonate, for example. The socket 11 is formed with a pair of locking projections that protrude radially from the inner peripheral surface. The connection portion of the socket 11 covers the outer periphery on one end side of the pipe member 10. The socket 11 is attached by engaging a locking concave portion provided on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe member 10 and an engaging convex portion of the socket 11.

In the figure, the configuration in which the socket terminal 110 is projected in the axial direction as the socket 11 is illustrated, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the socket terminal 110 may be projected on the side surface of the socket 11. . For example, the socket terminal 110 may be protruded by insert molding, press fitting into a pin insertion hole, or screwing.

(Configuration of lighting unit 2)
A plurality of LED elements 21 arranged along the longitudinal direction of the circuit board 20 are mounted on the front surface 20 a of the circuit board 20 at a constant pitch, and power is supplied to the LED elements 21 on the back surface 20 b of the circuit board 20. A power supply unit 24 is mounted. The LED element 21 can have an arbitrary pitch. The circuit board 20 has, for example, a width of 1/3 or less or 1/2 or less of the inner diameter of the pipe member 10. For example, the content of the pipe member 10 may be 40 mm, and the width of the circuit board 20 may be 19 mm.

As the material for the circuit board 20, for example, a glass base material (for example, FR-4) or an epoxy / polyester composite base material (for example, CEM-3) can be used.

Although the flip-chip type LED element 21 is used as the illumination device 1, it is not limited to this. As another example of the LED element 21, for example, a blue LED may be configured to be capable of emitting white light by performing wavelength conversion with a phosphor.

The lens 22 includes a concave incident surface 220 on which light emitted from the LED element 21 is incident, a convex emission surface 221 that emits light incident on the incident surface 220, and a substrate that contacts the surface 20 a of the circuit substrate 20. The contact surface 222 and the engagement protrusion 223 engaged with the engagement receiving part between the base part 230 of the support member 23 and the inner protrusion 233 are provided.

The incident surface 220 is formed in a substantially elliptical shape having a minor axis in a direction along the width direction of the circuit board 20 and a major axis in a direction orthogonal to the minor axis. The incident surface 220 refracts a part of light incident from the light emitting element 21 (excluding the direction of the optical axis) and guides it to the emission surface 221. The incident surface 220 may have a circular curved surface. Further, the incident surface 220 may partially include a flat surface.

The emission surface 221 has a mountain shape with the highest center. The exit surface 221 diffracts the light incident on the entrance surface 220 to diffuse the light in the width direction of the circuit board 20 and emits the light.

The power supply unit 24 is supplied with AC commercial power of 100 V or 200 V, 50 Hz / 60 Hz from the socket terminal 110. The power supply unit 24 is a rectifier diode that converts supplied AC to DC, and a capacitor that smoothes the DC output converted by the rectifier diode and supplies power to the circuit board 20 with DC of 200 to 300 mA and 30 to 45 V With. The power supply unit 24 preferably has a width smaller than the width of the circuit board 20.

The power supply unit 24 may be a plurality of battery packs that house a plurality of secondary batteries electrically connected in series in a battery housing box. The plurality of battery packs are mounted on the back surface 20 b of the circuit board 20 along the longitudinal direction of the circuit board 20. With the power supplied from these battery packs, the LED element 21 is lit even when power is not supplied from an external power source.

(Configuration of support member)
The support member 23 has a width smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe member 10, and extends in the longitudinal direction of the pipe member 10, and both ends of the base portion 230 in the width direction are orthogonal to the base portion 230. A pair of side portions 231 provided, an outer projection 232 projecting outward from the outer surface of the pair of side portions 231, and an inner projection 233 projecting inward from the upper ends of the pair of side portions 231, As a plate shape.

The support member 23 is made of a transparent material such as acrylic resin or polycarbonate resin. By reducing the width of the circuit board 20 and forming the support member 23 from a transparent material, the support member 23 has a plurality of portions that protrude from the end surface in the width direction of the circuit board 20 and extend to the recess 100 of the pipe member 10. The light emitted from the LED element 21 and reflected or scattered by each part including the inner peripheral surface 10a of the pipe member 10 is transmitted. The support member 23 also transmits light reflected by the diffusing agent when the material forming the pipe member 10 contains a diffusing agent.

The circuit board 20 has a plurality of through holes (not shown), and the support member 23 has a plurality of positioning protrusions (not shown) that fit into the through holes formed in the circuit board 20. Thereby, the circuit board 20 with respect to the support member 23 can be positioned.

(Operation of lighting device)
Next, operation | movement of the illuminating device 1 is demonstrated. When power is supplied from the power supply unit 24 to the LED element 21 and light is emitted from the LED element 21, the light emitted from the LED element 21 is refracted after being incident on the incident surface 220 of the lens 22. After reaching 221 and refracting even at the exit surface 221, the light enters the inner peripheral surface 10 a of the pipe member 10.

A part of the light incident on the inner peripheral surface 10a of the pipe member 10 is transmitted, and the rest is reflected or scattered. The light transmitted through the pipe member 10 is emitted to the outside from the outer peripheral surface 10b. The light reflected or scattered by the inner peripheral surface 10a of the pipe member 10 is reflected or scattered by each part, and is transmitted through the lens 22 portion or the support member 23 existing outside from the end surface in the width direction of the circuit board 20, and the circuit board. 20 wraps around the back surface 20b side, further passes through the pipe member 10 and is emitted to the outside. As described above, light is emitted not only on the front surface 20 a side of the circuit board 20 but also on the back surface 20 b side of the circuit board 20.

(Operation and effect of the first embodiment)
According to the first embodiment, the following operations and effects are achieved.
(1) A part of the light emitted from the LED element 21 is reflected or scattered by the inner peripheral surface 10a of the pipe member 10, and the reflected or scattered light is reflected directly or by each part to cause the support member 23 to be reflected. Since the light passes through the back surface 20b of the circuit board 20 and passes through the pipe member 10 and is emitted to the outside, the circuit board 20 can be used even in a configuration in which LED elements are mounted only on the front surface 20a of the circuit board 20. It is possible to increase the amount of emitted light on the back surface 20b side.
(2) Since the front surface 20a of the circuit board 20 is disposed substantially at the center of the pipe member 10 (the amount of deviation is within 10% of the outer diameter of the pipe member 10, for example), the power supply unit 24 is provided on the back surface 20b of the circuit board 20. It becomes easy to mount. Thereby, the surface 20a side of the circuit board 20 can emit light to the end in the longitudinal direction.
(3) Since the size of the power supply unit 24 in the width direction of the circuit board 20 is smaller than the width of the circuit board 20, the optical circuit board 20 is mounted even if the power supply unit 24 is mounted on the back surface 20 b of the circuit board 20. The amount of emitted light on the back surface 20b side can be increased.
(4) Since the lens 22 that diffuses and emits the light emitted from the LED element 21 in the width direction of the circuit board 20 is used, the light distribution characteristic spreads in the width direction of the circuit board 20.

[Second Embodiment]
FIG. 4 is a side view when the inside of the pipe member is viewed along the longitudinal direction of the pipe member from the end side of the pipe member except for the socket of the lighting device according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The present embodiment is different from the first embodiment in terms of lens, and the rest is configured in the same manner as in the first embodiment. The following description will focus on differences from the first embodiment.

The lens 22 according to the second embodiment includes a flat incident surface 224 on which light emitted from the LED element 21 is incident, a pair of mountain-shaped emission surfaces 225 that emit light incident on the incident surface 224, and A contact convex portion 226 that contacts the surface 20 a of the circuit board 20, and an engagement protrusion 223 that engages with the engagement receiving portion between the base portion 230 and the inner protrusion 233 of the support member 23.

The incident surface 224 refracts a part of the light incident from the light emitting element 21 (excluding the direction of the optical axis) and guides it to the emission surface 225. The incident surface 224 may partially include a curved surface.

The emission surface 225 has a pair of mountain shapes with the lowest center. The exit surface 225 reflects the light incident on the entrance surface 224 (partially refracts), thereby diffusing the light in the width direction of the circuit board 20 and exiting.

According to the second embodiment, it is possible to increase the amount of emitted light in the lateral direction as compared with the amount of light emitted upward as compared with the first embodiment.

The holding member 25 includes a pressing portion 250 that presses the circuit board 20 toward the support member 23, and an engagement protrusion 251 that is engaged with an engagement receiving portion between the base portion 230 of the support member 23 and the inner protrusion 233. It has a plate-like shape as a whole. The holding member 25 has a plurality of openings 250 a for avoiding interference with the plurality of LED elements 21. The holding member 25 is made of a transparent material such as acrylic resin or polycarbonate resin.

Also in the present embodiment, the light emitted from the LED element 21 enters the inner peripheral surface 10a of the pipe member 10, a part of the light is transmitted, and the rest is reflected or scattered. The light reflected or scattered by the inner peripheral surface 10a of the pipe member 10 is reflected or scattered by each part and passes through the holding member 25 portion or the support member 23 existing outside from the end face in the width direction of the circuit board 20, and the circuit. It goes around to the back surface 20b side of the substrate 20, and further passes through the pipe member 10 and is emitted to the outside. [Modification]
The embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications and implementations are possible without departing from the scope of the present invention.

For example, in each of the above-described embodiments, the entire support member 23 is formed from a light-transmitting material, but the portion of the support member that is hidden by the back surface 20b of the circuit board 20 is a material that does not have light-transmitting properties such as metal. The portion of the supporting member exposed in the width direction of the circuit board 20 from the end face of the circuit board 20 may be formed of a light-transmitting material.

Moreover, you may comprise the part exposed in the width direction of the circuit board 20 from the end surface of the circuit board 20 of the supporting member 23 from the material which does not have a light transmittance. In this case, an opening for transmitting light is provided in a portion exposed from the end face of the circuit board 20.

In the first and second embodiments, the lens 22 is mounted on the surface 20a of the circuit board 20, but the pipe member 10 may have a lens function. Thereby, the lens 22 can be omitted.

Further, it is possible to omit some of the constituent elements of each of the above embodiments within the scope not changing the gist of the present invention. For example, in each of the above embodiments, the power supply unit 24 is accommodated in the pipe member 10, but the power supply unit 24 may be omitted when DC power can be supplied to the circuit board 20 from the outside.
