Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a passenger car tire.
In recent years, in the transportation industry, tires with excellent fuel efficiency have been desired for the reasons of increased costs associated with soaring fuel costs and increased costs due to the introduction of environmental regulations. Since tires are required to have high durability as well as low fuel consumption, the balance between low fuel consumption and durability can be achieved by adjusting the blending amount of the filler.
As a filler for a tire rubber composition, carbon black is widely used in terms of good reinforcement. In order to improve fuel efficiency with carbon black, it is possible to use carbon black with a large particle size or to reduce the amount of carbon black. In this case, however, the rubber strength, that is, the durability will be reduced. There is room for.
It is also known that the fuel efficiency can be improved by replacing carbon black with silica, but silica has poor reinforcement compared to carbon black, so there is room for improvement in terms of reduced rubber strength and the like. .
As other methods for improving fuel efficiency, a method of adding a specific polar group to rubber in silica compounding and a method of compounding a silane coupling agent having a mercapto group described in Patent Document 1 are described. However, these are all effective against styrene butadiene rubber and butadiene rubber, and are commonly used in under treads, clinch apex and steel breakers for passenger car tires. The effect was not sufficient for isoprene-based rubbers such as rubber, isoprene rubber and epoxidized natural rubber).
An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems, to improve the fuel efficiency of a tire for a passenger car manufactured using a rubber composition containing an isoprene-based rubber, and to ensure good durability.

(First invention)
The rubber composition according to the first aspect of the present invention contains isoprene-based rubber, specific carbon black, C5-based petroleum resin, and a compound represented by the formula (I). The compound represented by the formula (I) can be bonded to carbon black by the reaction of the terminal nitrogen functional group with a functional group such as a carboxyl group present on the surface of the carbon black, and the carbon-carbon double The bonding portion can be bonded to the polymer by a reaction with a polymer radical or a reaction involving sulfur crosslinking. Therefore, the dispersibility of carbon black can be improved and the good dispersion state can be maintained even during use. Further, since the polymer restrains the carbon black through the compound represented by the formula (I), the exothermic property can be suppressed. By blending the compound represented by the formula (I) having these functions with a specific carbon black and a C5 petroleum resin into a rubber composition containing an isoprene-based rubber, the fuel composition has low fuel consumption. In addition, good durability (breaking strength, breaking elongation) can also be obtained.
In addition, when the compound represented by the formula (I) is blended, the processability usually tends to deteriorate, but in the first aspect of the present invention, together with the compound represented by the formula (I), a predetermined amount of C5 system By blending petroleum resin, good processability can be ensured.
The rubber composition according to the first aspect of the present invention contains isoprene-based rubber as a rubber component. In the isoprene-based rubber, a polymer chain is cut during kneading to generate radicals. The generated radical is captured by the compound represented by the formula (I), whereby the polymer chain and the compound represented by the formula (I) can be bonded.
Examples of the isoprene-based rubber include natural rubber (NR), isoprene rubber (IR), epoxidized natural rubber (ENR), and high-purity natural rubber (HPNR), and NR can be preferably used.
The content of the isoprene-based rubber in 100% by mass of the rubber component is 60% by mass or more, preferably 90% by mass or more, and may be 100% by mass.
The content of sulfur is 1.0 part by mass or more, preferably 1.5 parts by mass or more with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. If it is less than 1.0 part by mass, the rubber composition may not be sufficiently vulcanized and the required rubber properties may not be obtained. The sulfur content is 2.3 parts by mass or less. If the amount exceeds 2.3 parts by mass, there is a risk of burning the rubber or causing oxidative deterioration during use.

(Third invention)
The rubber composition according to the third aspect of the present invention contains isoprene-based rubber, specific carbon black, organic acid cobalt, and a compound represented by the formula (I). Good elongation at break is also obtained.
Further, by blending the organic acid cobalt together with the compound represented by the formula (I), the adhesion to the steel cord is remarkably improved, and good steel cord coverage can be ensured.
The rubber composition according to the third aspect of the present invention contains isoprene-based rubber as a rubber component. The description of the isoprene-based rubber is the same as that of the first aspect of the present invention, so that the description is omitted.
The content of the isoprene-based rubber in 100% by mass of the rubber component is 60% by mass or more, preferably 90% by mass or more, and may be 100% by mass. If it is less than 60% by mass, the fuel economy may not be sufficiently improved.
The rubber composition according to the third aspect of the present invention contains carbon black having a specific nitrogen adsorption specific surface area.
The nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N 2 SA) of carbon black is 20 m 2 / g or more, preferably 60 m 2 / g or more, more preferably 65 m 2 / g or more. If it is less than 20 m < 2 > / g, there exists a possibility that sufficient durability cannot be ensured. The N 2 SA of the carbon black is 130 m 2 / g or less, preferably 120 m 2 / g or less, more preferably 115 m 2 / g or less. When it exceeds 130 m 2 / g, the heat generation derived from carbon black is increased, and the reaction with the compound represented by the formula (I) is difficult to proceed, so that the fuel economy may not be sufficiently improved. is there.
Carbon black dibutyl phthalate (DBP) oil absorption is preferably 60cm 3/100 g or more, more preferably 70cm 3/100 g or more. Is less than 60cm 3/100 g, it may not be possible to ensure a sufficient durability. DBP oil absorption of carbon black is preferably not more than 140cm 3 / 100g. Exceeds 140cm 3 / 100g, it may not be possible to secure sufficient fuel economy.
The pH of carbon black is preferably 7.9 or less, more preferably 7.8 or less, still more preferably 7.7 or less, and particularly preferably 7.6 or less. If it exceeds 7.9, the amount of acidic functional groups of carbon black is small, so the reactivity (interaction) with the compound represented by formula (I) is small, and there is a possibility that fuel economy and the like cannot be improved sufficiently. is there. The pH of the carbon black is preferably 3.0 or more, more preferably 3.5 or more. If it is less than 3.0, the pH of the rubber composition is lowered, whereby the activity of the vulcanizing agent is lowered and the crosslinking efficiency tends to be lowered.
The volatile content of carbon black is preferably 0.8% by mass or more, more preferably 0.9% by mass or more, and further preferably 1.0% by mass or more. If it is less than 0.8% by mass, the reactivity (interaction) with the compound represented by the formula (I) becomes small, and there is a possibility that the fuel efficiency cannot be sufficiently improved. The volatile content of carbon black is preferably 3.5% by mass or less, more preferably 3.0% by mass or less. If it exceeds 3.5 mass%, it is necessary to volatilize most of the volatile components in the vulcanization process and continue vulcanization until porosity does not occur. There is a tendency to get worse.
The content of carbon black is 15 parts by mass or more, preferably 50 parts by mass or more with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. If it is less than 15 parts by mass, sufficient durability may not be ensured. The content of carbon black is 70 parts by mass or less, preferably 60 parts by mass or less. If the amount exceeds 70 parts by mass, the rubber becomes too hard and the elongation at break is lowered, which may rather lower the durability. Moreover, there is a possibility that the fuel efficiency is deteriorated.
The rubber composition according to the third aspect of the present invention contains a compound represented by the following formula (I). The description of the compound is the same as in the first aspect of the present invention, and the description is omitted.
Content of the compound represented by Formula (I) is 0.1 mass part or more with respect to 100 mass parts of carbon black, Preferably it is 0.5 mass part or more, More preferably, it is 1 mass part or more. Examples of organic acid cobalt include cobalt stearate, cobalt boron neodecanoate, cobalt naphthenate, cobalt neodecanoate, etc., and cobalt stearate is preferable in terms of having a viscosity reducing effect, and elongation at break after oxidative degradation and In terms of good steel cord adhesion after wet heat degradation, cobalt boron neodecanoate is preferred.
Content of organic acid cobalt is 0.05 mass part or more in conversion of cobalt with respect to 100 weight part of rubber components, Preferably it is 0.08 mass part or more. If it is less than 0.05 parts by mass, the steel cord adhesiveness may not be sufficiently secured. Content of organic acid cobalt is 0.20 mass part or less in conversion to cobalt, Preferably it is 0.17 mass part or less. When it exceeds 0.20 mass part, there exists a tendency for the elongation at break after oxidative degradation to fall.
The rubber composition according to the third aspect of the present invention preferably contains sulfur. It does not specifically limit as sulfur, A thing common in a tire industry can be used.
The sulfur content is preferably 2.5 parts by mass or more, more preferably 3.0 parts by mass or more, and still more preferably 4.5 parts by mass or more with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. If it is less than 2.5 parts by mass, the steel cord adhesiveness may not be sufficiently secured. Further, the rubber composition may not be sufficiently vulcanized and the required durability may not be obtained. The sulfur content is preferably 6.0 parts by mass or less. If it exceeds 6.0 parts by mass, curing due to oxidative degradation is promoted and elongation at break is lowered, so that sufficient durability may not be ensured.
The sulfur content is the total sulfur content derived from soluble sulfur and insoluble sulfur, and does not include sulfur content derived from sulfur-containing coupling agents such as DURALINK HTS manufactured by Flexis. This is because in a rubber composition for steel breakers, a sulfur component derived from a sulfur-containing coupling agent is not released into the rubber composition because a relatively large amount of sulfur is blended as a vulcanizing agent.

<Manufacture of test tires>
(Base kneading process 1)
A rubber component, Compound I, and about 30 parts by mass of carbon black (the total amount in the case of less than 30 parts by mass) were added to a 1.7 L Banbury mixer manufactured by Kobe Steel Co., Ltd. and kneaded for 2 minutes. Then, the remaining filler and organic acid cobalt, sulfur, vulcanization accelerator and chemicals other than HTS were added, kneaded for 3 minutes, and discharged at 150 ° C. to obtain a master batch.
(Base kneading process 2)
Cobalt organic acid was added to the obtained master batch, kneaded for 3 minutes with the above Banbury mixer, and discharged at 130 ° C. to obtain a kneaded product.
(Finish kneading process)
Sulfur, a vulcanization accelerator and HTS were added to the obtained kneaded product, kneaded for 2 minutes with an open roll, and discharged at 105 ° C. to obtain an unvulcanized rubber composition.
(Vulcanization process)
A steel cord was coated with the obtained unvulcanized rubber composition, molded into a breaker shape, bonded to another tire member, and vulcanized at 150 ° C. for 30 minutes to obtain a test tire.
The following evaluation was performed using the obtained test tire. The test results are shown in Tables 5 and 6.
(Viscoelasticity test)
Vulcanized rubber cut out from a steel breaker of the above test tire under conditions of a temperature of 70 ° C., a frequency of 10 Hz, an initial strain of 10% and a dynamic strain of 2% using a viscoelastic spectrometer VES manufactured by Iwamoto Seisakusho Co., Ltd. The complex elastic modulus E * (MPa) and the loss tangent tan δ were measured. Larger E * indicates higher rigidity and better steering stability, and smaller tan δ indicates less heat generation and better fuel efficiency.
(Tensile test)
Using a No. 3 dumbbell-shaped test piece made of vulcanized rubber cut out from the steel breaker of the above test tire, in accordance with JIS K 6251 “Vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic rubber-Determination of tensile properties” at room temperature A tensile test was performed, and the elongation at break (EB (%)) at the time of a new article was measured. Moreover, after putting the said vulcanized rubber composition in the oven of an air atmosphere and carrying out oxidative degradation for 168 hours at 80 degreeC, EB was measured by the same method. It shows that it is excellent in durability, so that EB is large.
(Adhesion test)
An adhesion test is performed on the steel breaker of the above test tire, and the rubber coverage after peeling (the ratio of the rubber covered on the peeled surface when the steel cord and the rubber are peeled off) is measured, and a perfect score of 5 Displayed. Further, after the test tire was subjected to wet heat degradation under conditions of a temperature of 80 ° C. and a humidity of 95% for 150 hours, the rubber coverage after peeling was measured by the same method. 5 points indicate a state where the entire surface is covered and 0 points are not covered at all. The higher the score, the better the steel cord adhesion.
From Tables 5 and 6, the examples containing a predetermined amount of isoprene-based rubber, specific carbon black, organic acid cobalt, and the compound represented by the formula (I) are low fuel consumption and durability (breaking elongation). Steel cord adhesion) was improved in a well-balanced manner. In addition, the steering stability was good.
