Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a linear motion guide device.
Conventionally, as one of the factors that cause a reduction in the life of a bearing main body, which is one of the components of a linear motion guide device, contamination of foreign matter in the lubricating oil can be cited. It is known that metal chips, shavings, burrs, wear powder, etc. are mixed in the lubricating oil. Under the usage environment of the linear motion guide device in which such foreign matter is mixed, the foreign matter damages the rolling groove or the rolling element of the bearing body, thereby reducing the life of the linear motion guide device. And the lifetime reduction of this linear motion guide apparatus had the subject that it fell to 1/10 compared with the case where the foreign material is not mixed in lubricating oil.
Further, like the pitching that occurs in a transmission gear of an automobile or the like, the raceway surface or rolling surface of the bearing is caused by rolling fatigue, resulting in spotted microholes, thereby reducing the life of the rolling bearing. Therefore, as disclosed in JP-A-62-24499 and JP-A-2-347667, the spheroidized carbides are precipitated on the surface of the low-medium carbon low alloy steel by heat treatment such as carburizing, so that the hardness of the steel surface is reduced. Conventional examples are known which provide a low-medium carbon low alloy steel with improved pitting resistance and improved pitting resistance.
However, as in the conventional example, when the surface hardness of the raceway and rolling element is improved, the indentation due to foreign matter becomes lighter, but on the other hand, the toughness of the raceway and rolling element becomes poor and the lubricating oil is in a lubricating oil. Cracks were generated from the damaged parts caused by the foreign matter present in the steel, which caused flaking at an early stage, and there was a limit in improving the life of the rolling bearing.
Therefore, as disclosed in JP-A-64-55423, even when a rolling bearing is used under lubrication mixed with foreign matter, the content of C in the rolling surface layer of the bearing, the amount of retained austenite, and There is a conventional example in which the concentration of carbonitride is adjusted to an appropriate value, stress concentration at the edge portion of the indentation caused by the foreign matter is alleviated, crack generation is suppressed, and the life of the rolling bearing is improved.
In the conventional example disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 64-55423, an appropriate amount of retained austenite can improve the life under lubrication mixed with foreign matter. On the other hand, the retained austenite reduces surface hardness. There was a problem that the fatigue resistance decreased due to the decrease. That is, there is room for improvement in the appropriate relationship between the amount of retained austenite and surface hardness. In the conventional example disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 64-55423, the same applies to the bearing body.
In addition, in the conventional bearing body material, there is a problem that there is no consideration as to what value should be used for the particle size of carbide and carbonitride for improving the life of the bearing. When a large carbide is repeatedly subjected to stress, the large carbide becomes a fatigue starting point, and there is a problem that cracks and flaking occur.
Therefore, the present invention has found an optimum relationship between the amount of retained austenite of the rolling surface layer of the bearing body and the surface hardness in order to solve such problems, and further, carbides and carbonitrides existing in the rolling surface layer. It is an object of the present invention to provide a linear motion guide device that has a lifespan that is longer than that of a conventional product, not only under foreign matter lubrication but also under clean lubrication.
In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a linear motion guide device in which a bearing body includes a rolling groove, a straight path, and a rolling element, wherein at least one of the rolling groove, the straight path, and the rolling element is mainly C. Made of alloy steel containing 0.3-0.7 wt% and Cr; 1-3 wt%, and a rolling surface layer is formed by carburizing or carbonitriding and hardening heat treatment, and the remaining rolling surface layer The linear guide device is characterized in that the amount of austenite is 20 to 45 vol%, and fine carbides or carbonitrides having an average particle size of 0.5 to 1.5 μm are dispersed and strengthened.
According to the present invention, a carbide forming element is positively added, and precipitation reduction of fine carbide compensates for a decrease in surface hardness due to the presence of residual austenite, and the amount of retained austenite and surface hardness are compensated. By making the relationship in the optimal range, it is possible to achieve an effect that it is possible to provide a rolling bearing having a long life not only under foreign matter lubrication but also under crane lubrication.

Residual austenite amount (γRvol%) of rolling surface layer of rolling

If the amount of retained austenite is less than 20 vol%, the stress concentration effect when the dust indentation is generated cannot be sufficiently exhibited.
On the other hand, when the amount of retained austenite exceeds 45 vol%, the effect of relaxing the stress concentration is saturated, and on the contrary, the fatigue resistance is lowered by reducing the surface hardness.
As described above, the amount of retained austenite of the rolling surface layer is 20 to 45 vol%, preferably 25 to
40 vol%.
By the way, the amount of retained austenite can be controlled by selecting a quenching temperature and a quenching method, adjusting a C concentration dissolved in the matrix, and the like.

In the present invention, the rolling “surface layer” means a range from the surface to a desired depth,
For example, it refers to a depth corresponding to 2% of the rolling element average diameter where the shear stress is maximum.
Since the average particle size of fine carbides and / or carbonitrides present in the rolling surface layer is 0.5 to 1.5 μm, the surface hardness (Hv) decreases as the amount of retained austenite (γRvol%) increases.

Here, the average particle size of the carbide and carbonitride is 0.5 to 1.5 μm. When the average particle size is less than 0.5 μm, the life is not improved sufficiently and the wear resistance is lowered. On the other hand, if the average particle size exceeds 1.5 μm, the carbides and carbonitrides become a concentrated source of stress, and cracks and the like are liable to occur, thereby reducing the life of the rolling bearing.
By the way, the content of the fine carbide and carbonitride contained in the rolling surface layer is an area ratio.
10-20% is desirable. When there are few carbides and carbonitrides, it is not possible to compensate for a decrease in surface hardness with respect to an increase in the amount of retained austenite. On the other hand, if these amounts are too large, the carbides are coarsened and the amount of carbon dissolved in the matrix is lowered, and the necessary retained austenite amount cannot be ensured. The amounts of carbide and carbonitride can be controlled by adjusting the amount of carbide forming elements, adjusting the tempering temperature, and the like.

As the carbide forming elements, there are various known elements such as Cr, Mo, V, and W. (W also forms nitrides). Particularly preferred is Cr.
Various carbides are generated by containing one or more desired carbide forming elements.
Carbonitride refers to nitrides such as the above carbide and Fe3 (CN) when carbonitriding is performed instead of carburizing.
A preferable carbide forming element is Cr.
This Cr is a carbide-forming element necessary for improving the hardenability and tempering resistance of the steel and for precipitating fine carbides to improve the hardness of the alloy steel. The Cr content suitable for refining the carbide deposited on the rolling surface layer is 1 to 3% by weight.
Although it is possible to increase the C concentration and increase the surface hardness only by carburizing the steel with a Cr content of less than 1% by weight, this is a huge carbide that is easy to grow with less carbide nucleation. Will occur.

If the Cr content exceeds 3% by weight, giant carbides crystallize at the raw material stage, and the life is reduced due to stress concentration. In addition, it is disadvantageous in terms of cost, and if it is intended to refine the giant carbide, heat treatment, high-temperature quenching and the like are required for solid-dissolving the carbide in the matrix and reprecipitating, and heat treatment productivity is reduced.
In addition to casting, known methods such as powder sintering are available as methods for producing the material. However, when this powder sintering is performed, giant carbides and carbonitrides crystallize at the material stage. This is the preferred method.
As other carbide forming elements, for example, Mo; 8% by weight or less, particularly 2.0% by weight or less, V; 7% by weight or less, particularly 3% by weight or less, W; can do.

Here, the reason why the carbon content of the case hardening steel is set to the above value will be described.
In the carburizing method, the solid solution of carbon in the matrix is performed by both the base carbon existing in the matrix from the beginning and the Kahn that enters the solid solution by carburization, so that uniform solid solution is possible. In the quenching of the bearing steel, the carbon amount when the base carbon is dissolved in the matrix is limited to 0.5% by weight, but in the carburizing method, the solid solution limit is possible to a range exceeding 1% by weight. Thereby, the movement of the transition due to rolling fatigue is prevented by the carbon atoms, the plastic deformation is prevented by the accumulation of the transition, and thus the generation of the microcracks is delayed, and the long life and high reliability of the linear guide can be achieved.

When the surface hardening by carburizing or carbonitriding is performed, if the C content is less than 0.3% by weight, the case-hardened steel is obtained by carburizing or carbonitriding in order to obtain the desired surface hardness of the present invention. It is necessary to increase the amount of C or N that penetrates the surface. For this reason, carburizing and carbonitriding heat treatment time is prolonged, and heat treatment productivity is reduced. Further, the hardness of the core (core part) is insufficient, the core is plastically deformed, and the life of the linear motion guide device is reduced.

On the other hand, when the C content exceeds 0.7% by weight, the amounts of C and N entering the case-hardened steel due to carburizing or carbonitriding are reduced. For this reason, the ratio of C and N that penetrates and dissolves into the case-hardened steel is reduced, resulting in a non-uniform solid solution state, and this portion becomes a stress concentration source, and the life of the rolling bearing is reduced. From the above, it is desirable that the C content of the case hardening steel used for at least one of the raceway and the rolling element is 0.3 to 0.7% by weight.
