前方に開口部を有するケーシング本体と、前記開口部を開閉する開閉扉とを有するケーシング内に、
下向きの燃焼面を有する平面バーナが備えられたバーナボディと、
前記バーナボディと連通すると共に、ファンを回転させるモータが上方に設けられ且つ空気を取り込む給気口が下方に開放するように横倒し状態に設置されるファンケースと、
前記ファンケース内に収容され且つ燃焼用空気と燃料ガスの混合気を前記バーナボディ内へ送り込むファンとを備える給湯器であって、
前記ファンは前記モータ側から見た平面視にて右回り又は左回りの遠心ファンであり、これが収容されるファンケースはスクロールケーシングであり、
前記バーナボディは、下面に前記平面バーナを有するバーナボディ本体と、前記バーナボディの上面の所定位置に連通状態で突設され且つ前記ファンケースの空気吹出口と対向する空気取込口が側方に開口する給気導入部とからなり、
前記給気導入部のうち、前記空気取込口が開口している側面をファン取付面とし、
前記ファンが右回りファンの場合は、前記ファンケースは前記バーナボディの右側に設置されると共に、前記ファン取付面は前方又は斜め右前方を向いて設けられ、左回りファンの場合は、前記ファンケースは前記バーナボディの左側に設置されると共に、前記ファン取付面は前方又は斜め左前方を向いて設けられる給湯器。
