Abstract
Description
(1)一次粒子の粒径が20〜50nmである粒子界面が増大した酸化チタンの凝集体であって、前記凝集体の動的光散乱法(DLS)による平均粒径が500〜800nmであることを特徴とする酸化チタン凝集体。
(2)ESRスペクトルにより測定される酸化チタン中のTi3+量が、4.6×1017〜6.7×1017個/gであることを特徴とする(1)の酸化チタン凝集体。
(3)(1)または(2)の酸化チタン凝集体からなることを特徴とする光触媒。
(4)一次粒子の粒子界面が増大した酸化チタンの凝集体の製造方法であって、原料のTiO2と、TPAH、H2OおよびNH4Fとを、反応容器中で、モル比でTiO2:TPAH:H2O:NH4F=1:0.8:5:0.2となるように混合し、得られた混合物を170℃で加熱して所定時間保持し、得られた固体を水で洗浄して乾燥することを特徴とする酸化チタン凝集体の製造方法。
(酸化チタン凝集体の作製)
市販のTiO2であるP25(日本アエロジル社製)、テトラプロピルアンモニウムヒドロキシド(TPAH)、H2Oおよびフッ化アンモンニウム(NH4F)を、テフロン(登録商標)で裏打ちしたステンレス鋼製オートクレーブ中で、モル比でP25:TPAH:H2O:NH4F=1:0.8:5:0.2となるように混合し、この混合物を、170℃(443K)に加熱して1週間保持した。得られた固体を水で繰り返し洗浄後、70℃で乾燥し、生成物(Hyd−P25)を得た。
得られた生成物(Hyd−P25)および原料のP25について、以下に示すとおりの各種の分析・測定を行った。
エネルギー分散型X線分析:走査型電子顕微鏡(Hitachi S−4800)に付随のエネルギー分散型X線分析装置を用いて行った。
組成分析、形状および構造観察:走査型電子顕微鏡(JEOL JSM−7001F SEM)および透過型電子顕微鏡(JEOL JEM−2100F TEM)を用いて行った。
DLS分析:動的光散乱装置(Horiba LB−550)を用いて行った。測定にあたっては、試料粉末を水中で超音波処理して懸濁させた。
窒素吸脱着等温線:比表面積・細孔分布測定装置(MicrotrakBEL BELSORP−mini II)を用いて、77Kでの窒素吸着を測定した。
XRD分析:X線回折装置(Rigaku RADIB)を用いて、内部標準法により行った。内部標準試料としては酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)を用いた。
UV−visスペクトル測定:分光光度計(Shimadzu UVB−3100PC)を用いて行った。
本発明の酸化チタン凝集体(Hyd−P25)の形成メカニズムを理解するために、コントロール実験を行った。具体的には、実施例1で示した作製条件のうち、NH4Fを用いない条件(比較例1)、TPAHを用いない条件(比較例2)、およびTPAHとNH4Fの両方を用いない条件(比較例3)で、P25の水熱処理を行って、生成物を得た。
さらに、本発明の酸化チタン凝集体(Hyd−P25)の形成メカニズムをより詳細に理解するために、市販のアナターゼ型酸化チタン(JRC TIO−1、触媒学会参照触媒酸化チタン)、ルチル型酸化チタン(JRC TIO−6、触媒学会参照触媒酸化チタン)、およびアモルファス酸化チタン(和光純薬工業社製)を用いて、実施例1と同様の条件下で、水熱処理試験を行った。
次に、実施例1で得られたHyd−P25および原料のP25について、Xバンド電子スピン共鳴装置(JEOL JES RE−1X)を用いて、ESR分析を行った。外部標準試料としてはMn2+/MgOマーカーを用いた。
次に、実施例1で得られたHyd−P25および原料のP25について、光触媒特性の評価を行った。
分子状酸素により飽和させた酢酸水溶液(5vol%、5mL)を、Pyrex(登録商標)ガラス窓を備えたステンレス鋼製容器(75mL)中で、TiO2試料(15mg)と超音波処理して1分間混合した。この懸濁液を撹拌しながら、ソーラーシミュレータ(San−ei Electric XES−155S1、λ>300nm)を用いて、擬似太陽光全光(λ>300nm)を約1Sun(1000Wm−2)パワーで照射した。ヘッドスペースに含まれるCO2を、BID検出器を備えたガスクロマトグラフ(Shimadzu GC−2010 plus)によって定量した。なお、この条件下では酢酸吸着は無視できる。
次に、有機色素としてメチレンブルーを用いて、光触媒反応による分解(退色)試験を行った。
メチレンブルーの水溶液(0.05ppm、40mL)およびTiO2試料(30mg)を含む懸濁液を、Pyrex(登録商標)ガラス製容器(50mL)中に入れ、撹拌しながらソーラーシミュレータを用いて1Sunパワーの擬似太陽光全光(λ>300nm)を照射した。UV−vis分光光度計を用いて664nmでのメチレンブルー溶液の吸光度の変化をモニタリングすることによって、メチレンブルーの光分解を評価した。
Claims (4)
- 一次粒子の粒径が20〜50nmである粒子界面が増大した酸化チタンの凝集体であって、前記凝集体の動的光散乱法(DLS)による平均粒径が500〜800nmであることを特徴とする酸化チタン凝集体。
- ESRスペクトルにより測定される酸化チタン中のTi3+量が、4.6×1017〜6.7×1017個/gであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の酸化チタン凝集体。
- 請求項1または2の記載の酸化チタン凝集体からなることを特徴とする光触媒。
- 一次粒子の粒子界面が増大した酸化チタンの凝集体の製造方法であって、原料のTiO2と、TPAH、H2OおよびNH4Fとを、反応容器中で、モル比でTiO2:TPAH:H2O:NH4F=1:0.8:5:0.2となるように混合し、得られた混合物を170℃で加熱して所定時間保持し、得られた固体を水で洗浄して乾燥することを特徴とする酸化チタン凝集体の製造方法。
