<効力試験1>
(1)試験検体
上記「入浴剤処方例A」のイソプロピルメチルフェノールの含有量のみを、0.05部または0.15部に変更し、乾燥硫酸ナトリウムにより全量調整した「入浴剤処方例B」または「入浴剤処方例C」を、上記「入浴剤処方例A」と同様にして得た。また、イソプロピルメチルフェノールを含有しない処方例として、上記「入浴剤処方例A」と同様にして「入浴剤処方例X」を得た。
得られた入浴剤処方例B、A、C、Xをボトル(高密度ポリエチレン/エチレン-ビニルアルコール共重合樹脂製)にそれぞれ600g充填し、キャップ(ポリプロピレン製)をした状態で50℃の高温槽にて3ヶ月保管したものを試験検体1〜3および比較試験検体とした。
(2)試験方法
試験検体1〜3および比較試験検体のそれぞれを0.2g/Lの割合で40℃の精製水に溶解し、24時間溶出させた溶液を試験溶液とした。この試験溶液を0.2μmのメンブランフィルターで濾過分離し、溶液を硝酸酸性として原子吸光光度計(日立製、Z−2310、Z−8200)を使って溶出した銀イオンの定量分析を実施した。分析結果を表1に示した。
なお、使用した銀担持ゼオライトから銀イオンが全量溶出した際の銀イオン濃度の理論値は71.5μg/Lであり、銀担持ゼオライト0.65質量%配合処方の初期(50℃での3ヶ月保管前の)溶出銀濃度は、測定値が72.1μg/Lであった。

The samples stored for 3 months were used as test samples 1 to 3 and comparative test samples.
(2) Test Method Each of the test samples 1 to 3 and the comparative test sample was dissolved in purified water at 40 ° C. at a rate of 0.2 g / L, and a solution eluted for 24 hours was used as a test solution. This test solution was separated by filtration through a 0.2 μm membrane filter, and the solution was acidified with nitric acid, and quantitative analysis of silver ions eluted using an atomic absorption photometer (Hitachi, Z-2310, Z-8200) was performed. The analysis results are shown in Table 1.
The theoretical value of the silver ion concentration when all the silver ions were eluted from the silver-supported zeolite used was 71.5 μg / L, and the initial formulation (three months at 50 ° C.) of 0.65% by mass of the silver-supported zeolite was used. The measured elution silver concentration (before storage) was 72.1 μg / L.
試験検体1〜3および比較試験検体の初期溶出銀濃度の測定値は72.1μg/Lであり、表1の比較試験検体の24時間後の溶出銀濃度が25.6μg/Lであったこと、及び、試験検体1〜3の24時間後の溶出銀濃度が54.4、65.4、34.0μg/Lであったことから、銀担持ゼオライト単独では24時間経過後に溶出銀濃度が初期(50℃での3ヶ月保管前)の溶出銀濃度の3分の1程度に低減してしまうことに比べて、銀担持ゼオライトとイソプロピルメチルフェノールを併せ使用することにより、特異的に、溶出銀濃度の低減を大幅に抑制できることが明らかとなった。特に、イソプロピルメチルフェノールを0.10質量%含有する試験検体2は、24時間後の溶出銀濃度の低減が10%未満に抑制されることから、イソプロピルメチルフェノールの配合量として好ましいことも明らかとなった。
上記試験結果は、本発明のイソプロピルメチルフェノールを有効成分とする銀含有抗菌剤の安定化剤により、銀含有抗菌剤の抗菌活性が維持されることを示すものである。
