Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electric heater provided with a heating element that generates heat when electric power is supplied.
For example, an electric heater for heating air for air conditioning may be provided in the vehicle air conditioner. As this type of electric heater, one provided with a heating element composed of a PTC element that generates heat when electric power is supplied is known (for example, see Patent Documents 1 and 2). That is, the electric heaters of
Each heating element holds a pair of thin metal strips, a PTC element disposed between the thin metal strips, and a pair of thin metal strips and PTC elements, as described in FIG. 7 of each document. It consists of an arrangement frame. The arrangement frame has a holding projection that engages with one thin metal strip from the outer surface and a holding projection that engages with the other thin metal strip from the outer surface, and the one thin metal strip and the other thin plate. A part of the arrangement frame is interposed between the metal strip.
Also, a spring element for pressing the heat generating element and the heat radiating element in the stacking direction is disposed inside the housing, and a compressive force acts on the heat generating element and the heat radiating element by the spring element. Yes. That is, the housing is divided into two in the flow direction of the external air, and includes an upper housing arranged on the upstream side and a lower housing arranged on the downstream side. When the upper housing and the lower housing are combined, as shown in FIG. 10 of each document, the spring element is arranged between the upper housing and the lower housing, and the upper housing and the lower housing are arranged. The spring element is pushed into the housing by the closing force at that time.
However, in
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to improve assembly workability when a spring member for applying a compressive force is provided inside the housing. .
In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, the spring member can be assembled from the outside to the inside of the housing.
The first invention is
A heat generating part having a heat generating element that generates heat by supplying power;
Fins for transferring heat of the heat generating part to external air;
A housing for holding the heat generating portion and the fin in a state in which the heat generating portion and the fin are stacked in a direction intersecting with the flow direction of the external air;
An electric heater that is assembled to the housing and includes a spring member for applying a compressive force in the stacking direction to the heat generating portion and the fin.
The housing is a combination of an upstream housing component and a downstream housing component divided in the flow direction of the external air,
The housing is provided with an insertion portion for inserting the spring member into the housing from the outside to the inside.
According to this configuration, when the heat generating portion and the fin are assembled to the housing, the heat generating portion and the fin are disposed between the upstream housing constituent member and the downstream housing constituent member, and the spring member is placed outside. The upstream housing component and the downstream housing component are combined. At this time, since the reaction force by the spring member does not act on the upstream housing constituent member or the downstream housing constituent member, the assembling workability is good. Thereafter, the spring member is inserted into the housing through the insertion portion of the housing. At this time, the reaction force of the spring member acts, but since the heat generating portion and the fin are already held inside the housing, only the spring member needs to be pressed, and the assembly workability is good.
According to a second invention, in the first invention,
The housing is formed with an opening through which external air flows,
The opening is the insertion portion.
According to this configuration, since the opening through which the external air flows is used as the insertion portion, the spring member can be inserted into the housing using the opening.
According to a third invention, in the second invention,
The housing is provided with a reinforcing portion that extends across the opening,
The spring member is formed with a notch portion into which the reinforcing portion is fitted.
According to this configuration, the strength of the housing is increased by providing the reinforcing portion. And when inserting a spring member in the inside of a housing, it becomes possible to avoid interference with a reinforcement part and to assemble | attach a spring member by fitting a reinforcement part in the notch part of a spring member. Further, the spring member can be positioned by the reinforcing portion.
According to a fourth invention, in the third invention,
The notch is formed so as to extend in the insertion direction of the spring member into the insertion portion.
According to this configuration, when the spring member is inserted into the housing, the spring member can be assembled in a state in which the reinforcing portion of the housing is inserted into the cutout portion of the spring member.
According to a fifth invention, in the third or fourth invention,
A predetermined gap is provided between the reinforcing portion and the heat generating portion.
According to this configuration, the reinforcing portion of the housing and the heat generating portion do not come into strong contact with each other, so that the compression force by the spring member surely acts on the heat generating portion and the fin.
A sixth invention is the invention according to any one of the third to fifth aspects,
The spring member is provided with a contact portion that contacts the reinforcing portion from the outside of the housing.
According to this configuration, when the spring member is inserted into the housing, the abutting portion of the spring member abuts against the reinforcing portion of the housing from the outside, whereby the insertion of the spring member can be stopped. .
According to the first invention, since the spring member can be assembled from the outside to the inside of the housing, the heat generating portion and the fin can be assembled to the housing with the spring member placed outside, and then The spring member can be assembled by being inserted into the housing from the insertion portion. Thereby, assembly workability | operativity can be made favorable.
According to the second invention, the spring member can be inserted into the housing using the opening of the housing.
According to the third invention, the reinforcing portion extending across the opening is provided in the housing, and the notch portion into which the reinforcing portion is fitted is formed in the spring member. Therefore, when the strength of the housing is increased by the reinforcing portion, the reinforcing portion Thus, the spring member can be easily assembled. Further, the spring member can be positioned by the reinforcing portion.
According to the fourth aspect of the invention, since the cutout portion of the spring member is formed so as to extend in the insertion direction, the workability of assembling the spring member can be further improved.
According to the fifth aspect, since the predetermined gap is provided between the reinforcing portion of the housing and the heat generating portion, it is possible to suppress the strong contact between the reinforcing portion of the housing and the heat generating portion. Thereby, the compressive force by a spring member can be made to act reliably on a heat generating part and a fin.
According to the sixth aspect of the invention, since the contact portion that contacts the reinforcing portion is provided in the spring member, the insertion of the spring member can be stopped in a state where the spring member is inserted to a predetermined position.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. It should be noted that the following description of the preferred embodiment is merely illustrative in nature, and is not intended to limit the present invention, its application, or its use.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an electric heater 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The electric heater 1 is, for example, a so-called PTC heater that is disposed in a vehicle air conditioner (not shown) and is used as an air heater that heats air for air conditioning. The electric heater 1 can be used as an auxiliary air heater, or can be used as a main air heater with a large heating amount. The electric heater 1 is supplied with electric power from a battery (not shown) mounted on the vehicle. In addition, although not shown in figure, the electric heater 1 can be used when heating various air besides the air heater of an air conditioner.
1 and 2, the case where the electric heater 1 is viewed from the downstream side with reference to the flow direction of the external air is described. However, the electric heater 1 is defined as the downstream side in FIGS. This side may be used as the upstream side. As for the left-right direction of the electric heater 1, the right side when viewed from the downstream side in the flow direction of the external air is referred to as “right”, and the left side is referred to as “left”.
The electric heater 1 includes first to fourth heat generating portions A1 to A4,
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the first heat generating part A1 includes a plurality of
The
The
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 10, the
The
The upper part of the
As shown in FIG. 5, the downstream
The downstream
The vertical separation between the downstream
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the upstream
The upstream
The vertical separation between the upstream
The separation dimension between the downstream
Note that the second to fourth heat generating portions A2 to A4 have the same structure as the first heat generating portion A1, and thus the description thereof is omitted.
Next, the structure of the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The upper end portion of the reinforcing
As shown in FIG. 3, the
As shown in FIG. 3, between the
Next, the
The lower surface of the
As shown in FIG. 7, the
The
Next, the structure of the
Next, an assembling procedure of the electric heater 1 configured as described above will be described. First, the first to fourth heat generating portions A1 to A4 and the
Then, the
Thereafter, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the
After the
Further, when the
Moreover, since the predetermined gap is provided between the reinforcing
Moreover, since the
Note that the
The above-described embodiment is merely an example in all respects and should not be interpreted in a limited manner. Further, all modifications and changes belonging to the equivalent scope of the claims are within the scope of the present invention.
As described above, the electric heater according to the present invention can be used, for example, as an air heater of a vehicle air conditioner.
